I received a Boots Natural Collection gift set for my birthday which contained Vanilla, Mango and Wild Strawberry shower gel's and matching lotion's. At the moment I'm using the Wild Strawberry. I don't know what the set cost but I see on the Boot's website that the individual cost of their shower gel's are £2 for 250ml so reasonably priced. My shower gel is only 75ml and is like a tooth paste style tube with a screw cap but usually the shower gel comes in the usual shower gel type see- through plastic bottle with a hook to hang it up whilst in the shower and a flip top lid. There are nice piccies of a strawberry with flowers and hearts around it. It tells us that it's 'Natural Collection Wild Strawberry Shower Gel', the reverse lists the directions which are to massage into wet skin. There isn't a list of ingredients on the back of my tube and I can't find them on the internet so don't know how 'natural' it is or if there's any fruit in it but personally I'm not too bothered as almost everything is full of chemically sounded stuff including Brands that trade on being natural. The shower gel itself is a lovely deep red colour which is pearlescent with almost a gold shimmer to it. It has a nice non gloopy consistency, it's thick enough as to not squirt everywhere but thin enough to dispense easily. The shower gel smells like I would imagine wild strawberries to smell like although it does remind of fruit jelly sweets (not a bad thing). You really don't need much of this a 50p size amount is adequate. I blobbed way too much the first time and was covered in bubbles as was the wall in the shower. Without a sponge or lily it doesn't lather as well but I find that with all shower gels. Despite the bubbles it does wash off quickly. I like this shower gel it cleans well and smells nice- although initially strong the scent doesn't linger for long which is a pity. My skin is left feeling normal, I'm not particularly 'soothed and softened' as claimed on the tube but my skin isn't dried out at all or irritated. The small 75ml tube I'm using at the moment has lasted a couple of weeks so £2 for 250ml is good value.
For Christmas I received several items from the Boots Natural Collection toiletries range, the items I received all came in the Wild Strawberry fragrance. I have tried several of the Boots own range products in the past and have always bee pleased with the results, so when I received the Boots Natural Collection items I was sure that these would be the same. One of the items I received was the Boots natural Collection Wild Strawberry Shower Cream. Packaging The Boots Natural Collection Wild Strawberry Shower Cream comes in a clear plastic bottle allowing you to see the product inside, the bottle has a large hook on one end which allows you to hang the bottle up in the shower so it is within reach whilst you are washing. At the other end of the bottle is a round dark purple/ brown lid which also allows you stand the bottle up should you not wish to hang it by the hook, the lid simply flips open and clicks shut so that the shower cream does not leak out. The bottle has a clear label on the front of it, it has a dark brown rectangle at the bottom which has the Boots logo in it followed by the name of the product written in white and pink writing. The rest of the label is taken up with the picture of a large strawberry in the middle surrounded by the outlines of smaller strawberries, flower heads and hearts, these are all in different colours. The back of the bottle also has a clear label on it, this contains all of the product information including facts about the shower cream, directions for use, warnings and ingredients, all of this information is written in white writing which when the bottle is empty is very difficult to read, however when the bottle has the shower cream in it the white writing really stands out against the coloured background and is very easy to read. The Shower Cream As you would imagine the Boots Natural Collection Wild Strawberry Shower Cream is a bright red colour, it has a sort of shimmery look to it as well. The shower cream is of a standard consistency, not too think but on the other hand not too runny either, it is easy to keep it in place on the sponge. When I first opened my bottle of Wild Strawberry Shower Cream the first thing I noticed was the fragrance, it was lovely, it really did smell of fresh strawberries, there was no artificial fruity smell to it at all, it smelt good enough to eat. This product had the sort of fragrance to it that you have to keep smelling just to see how nice it smells. This product is described as having a summer fresh fragrance which I have to agree with it is quite summery, however I am still happy to use this product any time of year and not just in the summer. This shower cream helps to sooth your skin and leave it clean and noticeably softer. Directions for Use The directions for use on the back of the packaging states that you need to massage the product gently onto damp skin and rinse off thoroughly. When I use my shower cream I apply a small amount onto a shower puff and lather it up and them rub it onto my skin and then rinse with clean water. Warnings Again the warnings of this product can also be found on the back of the packaging and these state * Keep out of reach of children * This is not a food, I did have to smile at the It is not a food point as I cant actually imagine anyone trying to eat this product, although it really does smell like fresh strawberries and good enough to eat. Price and Availability Boots Natural Collection Wild Strawberry Shower Cream obviously is only available from Boots as it part of their own range of products. The 250ml bottle costs just £2.00, personally I think this is an excellent price, the shower cream is long lasting, I find that you only need a small amount of it at a time to create a decent lather in order to wash yourself making it very economical and well worth the money. My Opinion I have now used my whole bottle of Boots Natural Collection Wild Strawberry Shower Cream and I have been extremely pleased with the product. After using my shower cream my skin would as the description states feel extremely soft and it would smell lovely and fresh, the lovely strawberry fragrance would linger on my skin for a long while after washing with the shower cream leaving it smelling and feeling clean and fresh. This product is very reasonably priced and also long lasting and in my opinion well worth the money. I would say that this product could easily be used by the whole family and whilst it doesn't make any promises of being aimed at people with sensitive skin personally I have experienced no problems with it at all. I would definitely purchase this product again in the future and would certainly recommend it to anyone as a reasonably priced everyday shower cream suitable for all the family.
My soon to be mother-in-law bought me some wonderful Natural Collection products from Boots for Christmas. I've been getting into my bath products more and more recently so a new brand was very welcome. This review will be covering the Boots Natural Collection Wild Strawberry Bath Cream. As this is a Boots product, you will only be able to find it in store or online. A 200ml bottle of this will usually set you back around £2. My version of this product came in a gift set so the packaging is different to what you would normally get if you bought the full size bottle. Inside my small bottle of this product is a lovely red colour cream, which has a sort of pearly finish to it. The red colour goes really well with the strawberry scent which is instantly apparent as soon as the lid of the bottle comes off. The scent is sweet and fruity and really made me want to use it as soon as I unscrewed the lid. The liquid inside the bottle looks of good quality and it definitely looks more expensive than the £2 it costs for the full size product. As with most bath creams, in order to use this one you need to run it under running water, preferably hot, and wait for the bubbles to form. You only need roughly 2 large drops of the bath cream to give yourself a bath with plenty of bubbles. While the bath does not overflow with bubbles using this amount, there is plenty which last quite a long time. The scent of sweet strawberries also gets stronger as you add the cream to the hot water. This bath cream feels really soft and luxurious on my skin while I'm laid in the bath and the scent also makes it really relaxing. However, the scent doesn't last too long - not much longer than the bath itself. I wish that the scent of this bath cream lasted for quite some time after my bath but it just doesn't stay on my skin for long at all. While this is a nice bath cream at a good price, it isn't one I would buy on my own mainly due to its non-lasting effects.
*** I am a fan of the Natural Collection brand at Boots, and had really liked the strawberry body spray and face mask, so I picked up a Natural Collection gift set, which included the wild strawberry shower cream. The 75ml shower cream comes in a clear plastic bottle with a screw on lid. The picture on the front is of a strawberry surrounded with flowers, mini strawberries and hearts. So is clearly aimed at girly girls. While it makes it convenient to stand the bottle up on the edge of a shower cubicle or bath tub, the lack of squeeziness makes it difficult when the bottle is finishing, as it takes a while for the cream to come out of the bottle. When the shower cream is nearly finishing, water will have to be added and bottle shaken to get the rest of the cream out. It seems like the bigger bottle pictured, might be a squeezy bottle and so shouldn't have this problem. The shower cream is red in colour and fairly liquid as opposed to being creamy. The fragrance is sweet and very strong. It is definitely a more flowery, or rather fruity feminine scent, although I felt like there was a tinge of a plastic smell to it. The scent is so strong that you smell it on the bottle even before the lid is removed. It feels smooth when applied and makes the skin feel refreshed while in the shower. Only two or three small amounts are needed to work up enough of a lather for my skin. The shower cream so far has not stung my skin, unless applied directly on cracked or broken skin. Once I step out of the shower and all water has disappeared from my skin, it does feel very dry, so there does not seem to be a moisturising aspect to the shower cream. For this reason I prefer not to use it on my face. I also find that there is only a faint lingering of the scent once I'm all dry, and this disappears altogether within the hour. So if you want the scent to linger on then follow up with the Wild Strawberry body lotion. The label on the bottle claims to leave skin feeling smoother and give it a glow. Unfortunately it has lived up to neither of these claims, and has therefore been somewhat of a disappointment, I therefore award it only three stars. Despite the results, it is still a shower cream that I would use, as most shower creams and gels do leave my skin feeling dry, and I merely use them to wash the dirt of my skin. I always use a moisturiser after showering due to dry skin, this shower cream has not changed this routine. ***
Iv been a big fan of the Natural Collection range from Boots for years, but I had never tried this before until recently. I was shopping for some shower gel and the Natural Collection range was on offer at 3 for 2 so I decided to get three different shower gels. I am a big fan of the Vanilla one, and I love the smell of strawberries so I decided to get a bottle of this one aswell. The shower gel comes in a tall plastic bottle with a hook on the top to hand in shower, and a cap that opens on the bottom. The bottle is clear to show the contents inside, which is great as you can see exactly how much you have left. The shower gel smells very strongly of strawberries, but when I bought it I didnt give it a smell as I thought I would love it regardless. However I wish I had tested it before hand, as I find this one far too sickly and sweet. I am normally a big fan of sweet smelling bath products but this one is far too sickly even for me. Its not a fresh and sweet smelling fruity scent, but one that really makes me gag a little bit, its very artificial smelling which I dont like. You only need a little bit to get a good lather going on which is good as it means the shower gel is long lasting, but the smell only intensifies as you use it which I didnt enjoy. Unlike the Vanilla one, this doesnt feel particularly rich and smooth on your skin. The good thing is the smell doesnt linger on your skin after use, which I was glad about. The bad thing is that, unlike the vanilla scented one, this one didnt leave my skin feeling soft and moisturised afterwards. If you like a really sickly smell of strawberries then you will probably like this shower gel, and at £2 it really is a bargain for such a big long lasting bottle. However I really didnt like this one at all, but maybe that is just down to my personal tastes. If you were going to invest in a Natural Collection shower gel, I would suggest getting the Vanilla one, which I really cannot fault
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Happy Christmas to me! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I actually received this in a set I bought for myself in Boots before Christmas! It is part of the Natural Collection range which has a lot of fun, bright colours that I always feel are probably intended for a younger age group than my own! However I do like the products in the main and I tend to opt for the nice fruity fragrances when I do make a purchase. The Wild Strawberry collection includes a range of products including a body scrub, body cream, body spray and even a lip gloss! My review is for the shower cream. It currently retails at £2 and you get 8 Advantage Card points with your purchase too. The Natural Collection range is often on 3 for 2, and in fact this range is currently part of the Boots 3 for 2 mix and match offer. So my advice would be not to buy it if there isn't a deal to take advantage of! I should also mention that the version I have came packaged in a large, squeezy tube that sits upside down on its fliptop lid, unlike the one here with the shower hook that doubles up as a lid! ~~~~~~~~~ Rich and red ~~~~~~~~~ You can see in the see-through packaging of this product that the shower cream is a bright red colour. But it is not till I squeezed some onto my shower puff that I realised it was quite an intense shade of red with a slight pearlescence - this made it seem like a much more expensive product than it in fact is! I was also really impressed with how well this lathered up - as mentioned, I use a shower puff in the shower, and I found that just a small amount of the shower cream was enough to get me in a lather from head to toe! It feels really pleasant on the skin - soft and creamy, and more luxurious than you may expect from the price tag - and the Natural Collection range itself which, as I mentioned previously, always seems like more of a fun range of products. ~~~~~~~~~~ A sweet smell ~~~~~~~~~~ So what about the scent. Well it is undoubtedly of strawberries and it really does have a strong, fruity fragrance. Although it is redolent of strawberries, I have to say that this isn't the most natural fragrance in the world, and some people may find it a little too sickly or even chemically. But for me ... well I quite liked it! Like I say, it isn't the most natural fragrance ever - and frankly I have used shower products with scents I prefer - but it is still fresh and fruity, and I really enjoy using this in the shower. It is definitely a good one for early mornings as it gives a nice wake-up call and is particularly good to cheer you up on a gloomy morning. The shower cream washes off the skin easily and leaves skin feeling really nice and soft. The scent also lingers a little - I doubt it would last long at all (I cover it up anyway with moisturiser!) but it is strong enough to linger on the skin at least a little which is always a good sign I think! So overall I do like this shower cream. Although I do think some people simply would not like the fragrance, I do find it quite fun and fruity, and I enjoy using this in the shower. However, I am taking off a star as although I do like this, I have bought shower products for around the £1 mark that are just as good. So although it isn't that expensive you could save a few pence and get a cheaper shower product that also does the job.
One of my favourite Boots own brands is Natural Collection, from using their make-up range when I first used make up to still using their body care products, Natural Collection produce great products for fantastic value, so I was more than happy to try out a few different products when their body washes were on 3 for 2. One of the body washes I decided to purchase was the Wild Strawberry flavour and here is my review... The product comes in a plastic, clear, 250ml bottle, with a plastic hanging hand on the top of the bottle, perfect for in the shower, but slightly annoying as you can never get the last bit of shower cream out of the corner of the hanger. If the hanger is not used the product stand on its plastic browny/purple flip-top lid, allowing you to easily squeeze out some shower cream. The cream itself is a very nice and bright red/pink colour that smells like VERY sweet strawberry. The smell nor the colour does not match the name, NATURAL collection as I find it very superficial, which was a disappointment as I have fairly high expectations for the range as they have produced much nicer, natural smelling products. The smell does however dye down very quickly making it more subtle, however it is nowhere near as long lasting as other Boots brands such as Extracts. On the bright side the cream is very luxurious and thick, applies well with a shower puff and does leave my skin feeling silky smooth and cleansed. The thickness of the product also means its very long lasting, giving it another advantage. The product costs £1.99, but is regularly on promotion on 3 for 2. I wouldn't buy this one again, too superficial and sweet for me but I love other in the range, particularly vanilla so I recommend smelling them instore and giving your favourite flavour a go. Note: i have heard it apparantly stains clothes so becareful not to spill it
I had recently received a collection of mini natural collection shower gels. I decided to try the strawberry cream shower gel first as it looked the most attractive with it's thick deep pink colour plus I love the fresh juicy smell of ripe strawberries. I thought I must be onto a winner with this product ..... Well, the first time I squeezed the product on slowly poured out of the bottle, no real problems there. The texture was quite thick and has hard to lather up so I found myself using a lot more than i usually do. I took a deep smell hoping to be overwhelmed with a delicious fruity scent but instead I was bombarded with a synthetic sickly scent which was so far from natural! I have tried to finish the bottle I have but find it quite unbearable. A full bottle retails at around £1.99 but it usually on some kind of offer such as '3 for 2'. If your looking for something natural avoid this product and head to lush instead, even looking at the list of artificial ingredients should be enough to put you off but if not then the harsh sickly synthetic smell definitely will
Boots has a great range of fragrances and body lotions and this collection has to be the best so far. This belong to the natural collection from boots and many other fragrances are available from the same collection. I have also purchased the spray and it really wakes me up and lets me dream for a while. It is available on most online stores including boots website and in most boots stores. There are so many great things about this product, apart from it's smell is unimaginable, the price tag is really low around £1.99 in my local boots store. It definitely helps with the credit crunch. When you first smell it, if your like me, you will immedietly fall in love with it. The smell is just gorgeous that is what brought me to this collection. The only downside I have noticd so far is that after a while it does get a bit overpowering and sometimes even boring. Also I don't know if thisis just me but sometimes I experience some dizziness after using the spray but I am fine with the showergel. I do recommend this for buyers trying to save money or facing the credit crunch or if you are getting a bit tired with your normal shower gel. It has a smooth creamy feel to it and has a rich red colour. Overall I like the product but I don't love it.
I have been a fan of Boots Natural Collection for as long as I can remember. I started using the Strawberry body spray and came across the shower gel by accident-but so glad I did. Sold in a transparent bottle with a dark brown lid, the bright colour really stood out for me. It looks so fruity and energising, and I wasn't disappointed when I tried it. It makes me feel bright and refreshed every time I use it. After just one application my skin felt visibly softer. The smell is really sweet, with subtle tones of strawberry. I would recommend this shower gel for use in summertime, or in a morning when you need something to wake you up. Priced at £1.99 for a 250ml bottle in all Boots stores (unless they have offers on where it can be cheaper), it really is great value for money. You require very little per application, as the product goes a long way. All you need to do is massage it into your body and rinse. If you like the smell of this product, they also sell a bath cream, body cream and body scrub as part of their shower/bath range. These are all priced individually, between £1.99 and £3.49. I wouldn't recommend this product for men, as it has a really girlie fragrance. But teenagers and women will love it if they like a sweet smelling product.
I like fruity smells so when I forgot to stock up on shower gels and had to go to Boots to quickly pick something, I bought Boots Natural Collection Wild Strawberry Shower Cream. It comes in a clear, 250 ml plastic bottle. It also has a very handy handle at the top of it so you can hang it somewhere in the shower unit. It has flip-top lid that is very convenient in use. The cream itself has a very bright and intense pink colour. The smell is very nice. It smells of extremely sweet strawberries but it is not too superficial so it made my shower time quite enjoyable. It smells a bit like strawberry yoghurt but sweeter. The smell disappears relatively quickly (as compared to the Body Shop products) from both your skin and your bathroom. The liquid itself is surprisingly thick (but it is a shower cream after all). It is very easy to apply and cleanses rather well - just does its job well. It foams very richly so I find it an advantage - I love foaming shower products! Thanks to its thick texture one bottle of this shower cream lasts for quite a long time. It leaves your skin nice and soft but it does not moisturize the skin amazingly. I know that it might be surprising that I mention it in a shower gel review, but what I found really annoying that there is no way in which I can get rid of the stains it has left on my towel when I accidentally spilled it. Only available in Boots (the standard price is £1.99) with other Wild Strawberry products.
I quite often browse Boots as I like to buy their Natural Collection wild strawberry body spray. When I was in there recently, they had one of their 'Buy two get one free' offers on. As there were only two sprays, I bought the wild strawberry shower cream as my third item. This is usually £1.99 for a 250ml bottle but as it was the cheapest of my three items, it was free. Bargain. The bottle itself is clear with a loop built-in at the top of the bottle, obviously for hanging onto your shower unit. There is also a flip-top lid, although that should maybe be a flip-bottom lid, as it's at the bottom of the bottle. The liquid within is bright pink in colour and seems quite thick. So, onto using it. The flip lid opens easily and the design of the bottle makes it easy to squeeze out the shower cream. As it's thick, it comes out in a measured way, so that you can squeeze out only what you need. It smells very heavily of strawberries, with quite a chemical tang to it. It doesn't lather very well and stays as a cream as you wash with it. One blob of it goes a long way (or a short way, if you're as short as me!) and you can really smell the strawberries as you're washing. It also rinses off well. The smell does linger after you've dried off after the shower although it's not as overpowering as it might be in the shower. To be honest, I didn't feel as clean as I have done when using shower gels rather than shower creams and I felt that I would have to wash again perhaps earlier than I would have had I used a gel. Not that I'm too much of a stinker, but you get the picture! After using this shower cream for a number of weeks, I noticed one thing that is very good about it and that's that the design of the flip-bottom lid doesn't let the water in as some shower gels and creams do. This bottle has been hanging under the shower since I got it and it keeps the water out of the lid, in that I haven't noticed the thickness of the liquid changing. However, when bringing the bottle downstairs to write this review, it does hold water somewhere as it leaked out all over the floor, but I like the fact that it doesn't get into the liquid. Would I buy this again? Possibly, but only if it's part of an offer. I know that some people can be allergic to certain ingredients, so for reference, I've listed them below: Aqua, Sodium laureth sulphate, Cocamidopropyl betaine, Sodium chloride, Cocamide DEA, Glycerin, Phenoxyethanol, Dipropylene glycol, Parfum, Glycol distearate, Laureth-4, Potassium sorbate, Citric acid, Propylene glycol, Tetrasodium EDTA, Disodium phosphate, Fragaria vesca extract, Denatonium benzoate, Benzoic acid, Methylparaben, CI 14700, CI 17200
Whilst browsing through my local Boots store for a shower gel, I came across 'Boots Natural Collection Wild Strawberry Shower Cream'. I was intrigued by the colour of the gel its self, so I deicide to buy it and give it a go! I bought a 250ml bottle for £1.99, which I thought was a good and fair price. This is the only size they do in the shower cream, nothing smaller or bigger. Since going back to boots to buy more, they do specials from time to time for this product, some being 3 for 2, or 2 for £3, which is a bargain! The cream comes in a see-through bottle with an attached black hook at the top of the shower cream, which is great because can hang it anywhere in my bathroom! The lid is a flip up lid with a small hole so you can squeeze the cream out. As the bottle is see-through you can the bright red colour of the shower cream, and you can see how much you have left so you can re-stock when you are nearly empty! Even though it is a shower cream I use it both in the shower and bath personally myself. I poured a fair amount of the cream onto my sponge and started to rub it against my skin. It quickly lathered up into a creamy rich foam which easily spend over my whole body. It left me with squeaky clean skin that smelt smooth. The best thing of this shower cream for me is the smell. When using it you are greeted by this powerful and gorgeous smell of strawberries. It smells so delicious you might actually want to eat the cream! Also the smell of the cream lasted on my skin for a couple hours after my shower, which I loved! Overall I was very pleased with this product and I would buy it again. Also it comes with a range of other Natural Wild Strawberry collections such as sprays, lip balm etc. So there's a range of products to buy and try!
I make no secret of my genuine love for all things Boots bound! I can't resist buying toiletries even if I don't need them from this store and me, well I love the fragrance of strawberry and sort of childlike fragrances I guess! I saw this for £1.99 a bottle and I couldn't resist giving it a go! The Packaging... Clear plastic 250ml bottle with integrated 'hook' to the top of it with a dark purple flip top lid to the bottom of it which conceals a small hole. On the front there is a picture a strawberry drawn on there and under that I'm told in white and dark pink writing that it is Boots Natural Collection Wild Strawberry Shower Cream. On the back of the bottle (this time all in white writing) I'm told a bit about the product and how to use it, warnings are listed as are the ingredients, contact details for Boots are given, size is stated (as I've listed already) and finally there is a bar-code on there. Nice enough, simple packaging...this is but could be a bit posher. I mean this is not 99p a bottle after all lol! A Bit About The Product According To The Back Of The Bottle.... Get up and glow with the summer-fresh fragrance of wild strawberry, which helps soothe skin to leave it cleansed and noticeably softer. Directions For Use.... Massage gently onto damp skin and rinse off thoroughly. Me Using It.... Well it's called a shower cream so I use it as just that. Me... personally I find a squirt just over the size of a 5p piece coin is about the right amount to cleanse my body properly and I apply it on my trusted scrunchy 'for a slight buff up!' but of course as ever you can use this on a flannel, sponge or hand. The liquid itself is a dark berry red colour and does have a slightly creamy look to it thought not a lot of one really just a slight opaqueness to it. Smell wise, well it's delicious and quite naturally smelling of strawberries. As you use it, it lathers up into rich, white moisturising, thick bubbles that do feel lovely on the skin and the scent is evenly distributed as it works. It rinses off incredibly well, I feel very clean after using it and can detect no nasty whiffs and it leaves me delicately fragranced and as it's so rich and creamy in use it's perfect for using to shave bits and bobs wit too if you want to! Overall.... Lovely scented and works out economcal however it's cleaning capabilities, to me are the most important thing and it does that easily indeed. In my opinion this is suited for all the family to use as although it is highly fragranced it leaves skin very delicately fragranced throughout the day and all day too! After using this my big butch bf said oh you smell nice and that's good enough for me! Only available in Boots priced at £1.99 and matching products are available from within this range too!
