I am not particularly loyal to any type of shower gel and will usually buy whichever one catches my fancy. The latest one to catch my eye was the Natural Collection Shower Cream by Boots. About the product The product is described by Boots as being a fresh and soothing shower cream which will leave your skin feeling fresh and clean. They come with indulgent and calming fragrances and it promises to nourish and soften the skin leaving it feeling and looking in a better condition and smelling delicious. Varieties The product comes range of different aromas in the shower cream collections. You can choose between Wild Strawberry, Vanilla, Samphire and Sea Minerals (I have no idea what Samphire is!) or Ice Musk. There are also a few shower gels in the collection too. I chose the Vanilla shower cream because I know this scent! Packaging and Price The shower cream comes contained within a plastic bottle and you can see the creamy coloured product inside. There are flowers on the front of the bottle and some information about the product is given on the back. The lid is black and shiny, and it has a rather convenient hook which allows you to hang it up neatly in the shower. You pull the lid to get it off. The shower creams cost £2.00 for 200ml of the product and it can be bought from Boots and also from their online website. Application and Performance The product is easy to use and the lid makes it more accessible in the first place. It has a strong aroma which is smells natural as opposed to being artificial and if you like vanilla then there should be no reason why you wouldn't like the aroma of this. It is easy to dispense from the bottle and it has quite a thick consistency for a shower cream. A little goes a long way with this product so you don't need to use too much of it in order to achieve the desired results. It feels luxurious and rich on the skin and when used with a sponge, it makes a rich foam which really makes you feel like it's hydrating the skin as well as cleansing it. The aroma of the cream is evident throughout the whole process. The cream is gentle on the skin and it hasn't caused me to experience any discomfort or irritations on my skin. The shower cream is easily rinsed off once you are done. Once my skin is dry, I feel really fresh and clean, and a faint aroma of the product lingers on the skin after use which is lovely. My skin also feels soft so it's quite hydrating and it doesn't leave my skin feeling tight or uncomfortable. Conclusion All in all, this is a lovely shower cream and if you like the aroma of vanilla then there's no reasons why you wouldn't like this. It smells completely delicious and it has a rich and luxurious lather which makes you feel like you're getting really clean. It is gentle on the skin and it leaves my skin feeling really soft and smooth. I will definitely be trying out the others in the collection once this is all gone.
As I am not usually keen on anything smelling of vanilla, I was slightly hesitant about using this shower cream for the first time. My daughter had bought it for me as part of a Boots gift Set for Mother's Day this year and not wanting to disappoint her, naturally I tried it out. The other items in the set were a body lotion, a body scrub and a scrubby mitten type thing. The items are all available to buy individually, but with the help of her dad, my daughter had chosen them herself and then her dad had helped her to wrap them all up together in a large piece of clear cellophane and a bright yellow ribbon! It did look really pretty. The shower cream came in a very plain looking plastic bottle with a hook on the top for hanging up in the shower and the bottle itself contained 250ml of product. This is only available to buy in Boots and it's part of their Natural Collection range. The shower cream itself is surprisingly luxurious on the skin. I used it alongside my shower puff and as a result I managed to obtain a lot of really rich and creamy lather. It felt soft and gentle on my skin and it rinsed off well under the shower head afterwards. It did make my skin feel lovely and soft, I can't deny this but I must admit I wasn't overly keen on the smell. As I mentioned previously, I am not a great fan of anything scented with vanilla - goodness knows why my husband helped my daughter to choose something with this fragrance, he's been married to me long enough to know that I never choose anything vanilla scented. Well, hardly ever. This shower cream is what I'd describe as a 'sweet' fragrance. It smells almost buttery and a little bit like cake mixture and it's fine in very small doses but after a while it starts to smell really sickly. I feel dreadful saying I don't like the smell of the product my poor daughter chose for me. Obviously, I had to tell Sarah how lovely it is, but I really don't like the smell at all. As a shower cream, it cleanses nice, it leaves my skin feeling clean and soft but I hate to smell like cake mixture and butterscotch so I would never buy this for myself. I have not used the Body Scrub yet, the jar remains unopened as I am sure I won't like the smell of that either. I don't want to put anyone off too much and I am sure that if you love the smell of sweet vanilla you will be sure to love this shower cream. However, for me, it loses stars simply because of the overly sweet smell. Not for me, I'm afraid.
~Vanilla Shower Cream~ This shower product is part of the Boots Natural Collection. There is a matching body scrub, body spray and body lotion available in the vanilla scent. This shower cream should leave your skin feeling soft, clean and nourished. This shower cream is presented in a simple looking, plastic bottle which features a hanging hook making it convenient for storing in the shower. The bottle is clear allowing the creamy liquid to be visible. There is very little in the way of decoration on the bottle - a simple vanilla flower design. It is practical but not the most attractive bottle. ~Price and Availability~ A 250ml bottle of this shower cream can be bought in larger Boots stores and from www.boots.com. It is currently priced at £2.00 and is part of a '3 for 2' promotion. ~My Thoughts~ I love having a wide choice of shower treats and more often than not, have anything up to 10 bottles or tubes of shower gel/cream/wash sitting in my bathroom at anyone time. I am normally attracted by special offers and bought a few of the vanilla scented products in this range when on offer. The Natural Collection includes lots of different scent ranges but I opted for vanilla as I simply adore the scent of vanilla. I like to get the most from my shower creams and normally use a body puff alongside it. This shower cream has a wonderful consistency - thick but not too thick that it is difficult to dispense and ultra creamy. A little goes a long way with a small blob on my body puff proving to create a plentiful supply of creamy, soft bubbles. Despite being a fairly cheap product, this is a really pleasant shower cream to use - it feels indulgent and really gentle against my sensitive skin. This shower cream cleanses my skin well. The creamy lather rinses quickly and I have experienced no irritation from using this product. It smells gorgeous. Vanilla isn't easy to pull off as it can often come across as being sickly sweet or unnatural smelling. I would say that this particular vanilla scent is lovely - a creamy, sweet vanilla which smells very authentic. It isn't an overpowering or cloying scent and does make for a pleasant showering experience. After drying off, my skin feels very clean and refreshed. The surface of my skin feels soft to the touch but I wouldn't say that this shower cream is highly moisturising. I do have really dry skin and it didn't dry it out further but I do feel that those with normal skin may experience a bit more moisturisation. The vanilla scent lingers for a short while but doesn't hang around for long. ~Conclusion~ I like using this shower cream as it is lovely to use and smells beautiful. The different products in this range compliment each other and I find it best to slather on the body lotion after my shower as this increases the strength of the vanilla scent. My bottle has lasted well with regular use and I feel £2.00 is a very fair price for this shower cream. If you are a fan of the smell of vanilla then I highly recommend this shower cream. Thanks for reading :)
I have started working my way through the Boots Natural Collection products because I love the scents that come from them and they are really reasonably priced. I picked up the Vanilla Shower Cream the last time I was buying bath and shower creams in Boots because I really liked the scent and have liked their products in the past. Scent This shower cream smells amazing, it has a really sweet and strong vanilla scent to it that reminds me of ice cream and smells amazing. This shower cream smells the same as the other Natural Collection products including the Vanilla Body Spray and Body Scrub. Application This shower cream is applied just like any other shower gel I have used, I like to take a small dollop in a sponge and then exfoliate it over my body making sure it lathers up nicely. What I Thought I really liked this shower cream, it smells amazing and I found that the scent lingered on my skin for ages. I found that this shower cream did not irritate my skin and I did not have any problems using it which is good as I have quite sensitive skin. I found that after using this shower cream my skin felt really clean and soft and it held its moisture really well. You do not need to use a lot of this shower cream to do the job, a bottle lasts ages, the scent is so strong that a little goes a long well and it lathers up quite easily as well making it easier to wash yourself with. Price and Availability This shower cream is only available in Boots and costs around £2 per 250ml bottle. I think that this is a great price as it is a little bit more luxurious than other shower gels in around the same price and is still pretty cheap and will not break the bank. Overall I really liked this shower cream, it feels really luxurious and smells amazing. I think that this is a must have for anyone who loves vanilla scented bath and body products and would definitely recommend it. Overall I would give this shower cream 5 out of 5 stars. *also on ciao under lorrainek90
I have been a fan of Natural Collection for years, they are Boots own brand cosmetics and beauty range. They're products are really really cheap yet suprisingly good, despite the low price tag. They're body washes come in several scents, and this particular review is about the Vanilla fragranced one. The product itself comes in a clear plastic bottle with a hook on the top to hang in the shower, and a cap on the bottom through which you squeeze the body wash out. The body wash is a pale cream colour and smells very vanillary and sickly - but this isnt a bad thing - I love the sweet smell of vanilla, but it might be a bit too sweet for some people. It lathers up really easily, you only need a small amount to get a good lather going on. It feels really soft and luxurious on your skin, and fills the bathroom with the lovely scent of vanilla. After use my skin felt soft for the rest of the day, alot softer than most more expensive brands - the only bad thing is the scent doesnt linger on your skin for very long. I solve this however by giving a spritz of the Natural Collection Vanilla body spray once im out the shower. Overall I would definitely recommend this shower gel, it smells luscious, leaves my skin feeling really really soft and the best part about it is that it is only £2! On top of this the Natural Collection bath range is usually on a 3 for 2 offer, so you can get the shower gel, body spray and moisturiser all in your favourite scent!
I've had this in my bathroom for ages but never got around to using it as I've so many other shower gels to get through. I think I got this as a gift for Christmas or my birthday and even though I love vanilla it's not something I would have chosen for myself. It costs £2.03 for a 250ml bottle. The bottle is made of clear plastic so you can easily see how much of the cream is left, and it has a hook on the end which is really handy as you can just hang it up in the shower. The hook is on the end of the bottle, not the lid like in the picture. The lid is a flip - top which makes it really easy and convenient for use in the shower, and you can even use it while it's still hung up. It fastens quite tightly so you don't need to worry about spills. The cream is a yellowy-cream colour and has a pretty average consistency, not too runny or too thick. It smells really nice but it is a very sweet vanilla scent, so I'm sure many people wouldn't be able to bear it on account of the sweetness. It lathers well from only a little of the cream so you don't need to use a lot each time and the bottle lasts really well. It feels gorgeous to use, the lather is really soft and luxurious and it feels really creamy and moisturising. It rinses off easily and my skin is left feeling refreshed and so soft and smooth I love it! I don't feel like I need to use a moisturiser afterwards because my skin already feels so soft after using this. The feeling lasts all day but unfortunately the scent doesn't really hang around for long. If the scent lingered for longer it would be the perfect body wash!
*** A natural choice *** After my disappointing experience with the Natural Collection body spray, I was hoping for much better things when I plucked this out of the back of my bathroom cabinet. This shower cream is part of the Boots Natural Collection range which includes a wide range of skincare and make-up. As a fan of vanilla, I was really keen to try this out - I often think there is a bit of a lack of nice vanilla-scented products on the market. The shower cream is £1.99 for a 250ml bottle, and the range is often available as part of 3 for 2 promotions in Boots. *** Off the hook *** Despite being cheap and cheerful, I think this product looks really nice, and more elegant than some of the other products in the range which can tend to be very brightly coloured. The see-through bottle shows off the vanilla cream inside, which is a nice oatmeal colour and not too "in-your-face". The bottle tapers into a hook at the top which is really handy if you have somewhere to hang it in your shower, and the flip-top lid on the base is also flat so you have the option to stand it on a shelf too (I do like it when the manufacturers think these things through!). Overall, it's a nice looking product and looks very acceptable on display in your bath and shower! *** Sweet but not sickly *** On to the contents. The cream itself is very thick and creamy, and a really pleasant texture. As I love vanilla-scented products - but am aware that sometimes they can be sickly - I was keen to get my first whiff of the cream! It's a lovely vanilla smell I think - sweet rather than musky but definitely not too sickly or overpowering. It is definitely one for vanilla-lovers only though! It's a really nice product to apply and it really does moisturise the skin - you can feel this as you apply it in the shower - and it washes away easily, leaving the lovely smell behind. After drying off, I was pleasantly surprised to find my skin was still really soft and sweet smelling. *** Overall *** I really like this shower product. It looks good, smells good and leaves your skin feeling soft and moisturised - what more could you want? Well, there's also the fact that it's a bit of a bargain too. I'll be buying this again!
I love vanilla and so ordered two products from this range from Boots. This product is Natural Collection vanilla shower gel. Most people will be familiar with this range and know that it is only stocked in Boots, online and in-store. They do a whole range of products for your face and body including, shower gel, spray, moisturisers and face masks all with fruity scents. The 250ml bottle this comes in is handy to hang up in the shower with the hook on top. The hook is part of the bottle and not one of those annoying ones that some have that flip up. The bottle itself is clear with a sticker on each side with a picture of the product and ingredients. The front of the bottle features some sort of flower with the whole sticker being very beige, re-enforcing the idea that this is vanilla scented. Using this is easy. Hooking it onto the shower means that the gel is always at the bottom of the bottle ready to be dispensed. When squeezing you will find it has one those plastic things in the dispenser that stops too much coming out. The gel itself is beige/white with a creamy almost pearl consistency. It lathers ok and when spreading it across your body feels smooth and silky. It washes off leaving no residue. Unfortunately though it doesn't seem to be that moisturising. It maintains moisture to what it was was and doesn't dry skin out, but it doesn't seem to add much in the way that some shower gels do. The scent is also very faint on the skin. You can smell it in the bathroom though. At first I found the smell in the bottle very sweet but I am now used to it. As for price, this cost £1.99 and was purchased as part of 3 for 2 in which I also got the vanilla body spray. As with all the other scents in the range, bath cream, body scrub and a body lotion are all available in vanilla making a good way to layer the scent. I would purchase this again but only when on offer as at full price it is more than I would normally spend on shower gel. Probably more for women to use though the strong scent in the bottle doesn't really transfer to the skin much. Perfect for any vanilla fan.
Boots Vanilla Shower cream a one to buy! My choice in shower gels have changed quite rapidly over the last few years or since I actually got a shower fitted. Instead of buying the normal same old boring shower gels I've taken an interest in fruity and gorgeous smelling ones! The same old shower gel can leave your skin dry over time and in need of that extra moisture boost! A good smelling shower gel will give you confidence and leave you with a fresh scent on the skin after your shower. This shower cream I prefer to a gel as there is so much more moisture in the bottle. Plus its only £1.99 for a 250ml bottle bonus! I love the texture of the cream its so soft almost like silk once on the skin and when you lather it up it smells gorgeous. The vanilla smell is soft and not over powering even if I'm shaving its good because the cream gets a good lather up for the shave. Boots do such lovely natural ranges in health and beauty and are always fairly priced. You could go and buy the top brand products and still not get the quality boots naturals give. It's packaging is pretty and the aim is natural so less is better on the design. The bottle is 250ml and the cap has a hook design so the shower cream can be left hooked to the shower for convenience. There's a small flower image on the front and the label is in brown displaying the boots logo and the naturals collection text on the front. Really very pretty and more expensive looking than cheap! I've been using this one for a few months now and love it, the next one out the range I will try is going to be ice musk shower gel that's suppose to be a good one. My skin smells so fresh from the vanilla extract after a shower and my skin feels silky smooth. You can get body mist in the fragrance (vanilla) and also body cream so if you're not just in need of shower gel look for products in the vanilla collection. Overall a great shower cream and one I will be using frequently and recommending to my friends. 5 out of 5 for softness and moisture.
One of the ranges of cosmetics that Boots offers is Natura Collection. They aren't expensive so I just gave a go Natural Collection Vanilla Shower Cream as I have never tried a vanilla shower gel. It comes in a 250 ml plastic transparent bottle with a hook at the top of it. I must say I prefer transparent bottles to coloured ones as I can see how much of the shower gel is left in the bottle (and when I can finally run to the nearest Boots or Body Shop to get a new one) and I quite like the hook at the top as not many shower gels have it and I find it quite handy. The design looks quite modern - it has a sticker on the front with a picture of vanilla and all the basic information you need. The shower gel itself has a pearly white colour. I usually used it with my puff and that produced a lot of lather without any problems. It cleanses well but producer promises 'softer skin' and I have not noticed any changes in my skin condition. Even though I am OK with it - after all, I don't expect a shower gel to moisturize my skin - I don't like when someone doesn't keep their promises. The texture is fairly thick (but not extremely) so I won't spill the entire cream on my body at once (it has happened in the past). The shower cream smells of very sweet vanilla; I personally find it too sweet and I was glad when I finished the whole bottle - I was getting sick of this scent. It does, however, go from the skin and the bathroom fairly quickly so it definitely was an advantage for me. A bottle of 250 ml of this shower cream costs £1.99 which I find quite reasonable for a shower gel (especially compared to the Body Shop!) and it lasts a reasonable amount of time (for me, it is around 3-4 weeks). It can obviously be found in Boots - both in store and online. Overall, it is a good, but very average shower gel and I am sure I can find something better.
Getting through so many shower gels/creams of late when I was in Boots I decided to have a stock up and took a glance at Boots Natural Collection products and spotted this priced at £1.99 a bottle and seeing as I love the fragrance that is vanilla this really appealed to me. The Packaging: 250ml white frosted plastic bottle with an integrated hanger to the top of it and a flip-top opening to the bottom of it concealing a small hole. On the front of the bottle there is picture of a flowers on there and we are told it is Boots Natural Collection Vanilla Shower Cream and on the back of the bottle other information includes being told a bit about the product and how to use it, ingredients and warnings are stated as is the size and contact details for Boots are given. Nice enough bottle and it is informative as it needs to be of course. A Bit About The Product According To The Information On The Back Of The Bottle: Stir is some sweetness with the soothing sugar-spiced fragrance of vanilla while this pearly cream helps leave your skin cleansed and noticeably softer. Using It: This cream is a pearly beigey pearly coloured sort of liquid. It runs out of the bottle easy enough though it is rather thick though. The fragrance of this is sweet and simply smells of vanilla. It's a very natural warm and layered smell and it really is very lovely indeed. It lathers up easy enough and you don't need loads of product either for that to happen. It releases it's lather as it goes and feels soft and smooth on the skin too. It cleanses and leaves the skin feeling soft and without residue on it. You can shave your bits and bobs with this if desired and like I say it really does clean the skin very well indeed. However although the skin smells lovely after using it I find that the fragrance leaves the skin within half an hour. All in all this is a lovely smelling shower cream that is kind and gentle to the skin and simple to use however because of the fragrance vanishing quick smart from the skin I'm not all that keen on it really sadly which is a shame as the fragrance in the bottle and immediately when/after using it is gorgeous! Only available in Boots stores costing £1.99 a bottle.
