~Blissful Body Wash~
No7 is a Boots exclusive beauty range. As well as offering a range of skin care and make up products, No7 also offer a range of luxury bathing/body products. This review discusses my use of the Blissful Body Wash.
This body wash contains a moisturising complex which includes Argan Oil and grapeseed oil. It is designed to offer a cleansing experience for all skin types. No7 promise that this body wash will leave your skin clean and refreshed. It is also designed to leave skin soft and not dry it out. As with the other No7 products, this body wash is hypo-allergenic.
No7 have recently updated their product packaging and this body wash is now presented in a sleek, stylish looking tube which is a gold with pink tint sort of colour. I find a tube to be the most practical packaging for a body wash and the packaging looks attractive and expensive in my opinion. The tube can be recycled and it is worth noting that this product has a 24 month usage life.
~Where To Buy~
A 200ml tube of this body wash can be bought for £9.50 from www.boots.com and instore. No7 products are currently included in a 3 for 2 offer.
I buy No7 products on a regular basis and often make use of their special promotions and 3 for 2 deals. My current tube of this body wash came from a gift set and this is my second tube and I must say, I quite like it. My collection of body washes is quite extensive and I like to choose between regular 'everyday' products and more special, expensive body washes. This particular body wash is somewhere in between basic and luxury in my opinion.
This is a very pleasant body wash to use an I favour using it for my evening shower as I prefer a more zingy, wake up scent for my morning shower. The consistency and appearance of the body wash is lovely - white, reasonably thin but sort of milky which means that it flows smoothly from the tube. Don't let the thin consistency of this body wash fool you - you don't need a lot despite how thin it looks. Applying directly on to damp skin, a lovely, creamy lather is created with very little effort. It feels lightweight, moisturising and very soft against my skin. I find that I get a lot more from a small blob of this body wash by squeezing it directly onto my body puff. This allows a richer, creamier lather to form which feels absolutely gorgeous against my sensitive skin - refreshing and cooling. It feels very pampering which I love.
As well as being a treat to apply, this body wash has a beautiful scent which I find to be just the right strength for witnessing on my skin at bedtime. It is a soft, slightly perfumed scent which has a powdery undertone and I find it to be rather relaxing and comforting. The lather rinses from my skin leaving no residue but once dried off, my skin still smells of this body wash for an hour or two. I do find that this body wash performs effectively. It cleanses my skin and removes any impurities. It is extremely gentle and has never caused any irritation to my already sensitive skin.
After towel drying my skin, I find that it looks and smells very clean and refreshed. My skin is soft to the touch and I have been impressed by how nourished it feels as some body washes offer very little or no moisturisation. This one is different as it leaves my dry skin silky smooth for several hours. I rarely feel the need to top it up with lots of body lotion but if I do, I prefer to use the 'Completely Quenched Body Lotion' from the No7 range and both products work effectively together. I would say that a man could use this without feeling that it was too perfumed or feminine but my fiancé uses the No7 for men range.
This is an expensive body wash but if you can pick it up at a reduced price (No7 often have special promotions) then you could nab yourself a gorgeous, moisturising body wash. It is suitable for all skin types, works effectively and smells really lovely. My little tubes have lasted well as I alternate between different body washes so would say that a 200ml tube would last over a month if used on a daily basis. Recommended!
Thanks for reading :)
Note that I originally reviewed the old version of this body wash on Ciao - this review is of the newer design which has changed.
Summary: a gorgeous treat
