“ Brand: Boots / Type: Bath Cream / Subcategory: Moisturiser / Further Category: Bath Cream / What it does: Moisturizes, destresses „
Having recently become a student I have set out to find the best quality products I can buy, but at the cheapest possible prices. I came across this product in the summer holidays, and brought it in about November. The product is only available in Boots as it is a Boots own brand product, and it comes in 3 different types; sandalwood and ylang ylang (pink bottle as shown in the picture), lavender and jasmine (purple bottle), and my personal favourite in the white bottle which contains extra moisturiser. Each of the bath crème's come in a plastic bottle in their respective colours with the Boots logo at the top and the words Pure Moisture in fancy writing. It is very simple, but looks neither cheap nor expensive. It contains 400ml of the bath crème making it the usual size bottle, and is dermatologically tested.
This product is designed to moisturise your skin, leaving it soft, smooth and supply giving you an indulging bath experience. The product is easy enough to use, just pour about 10ml under a hot running tap and watch the foamy bubbles appear. The liquid is a good consistency, runny but not watery. I mainly use the one that comes in the white bottle as it is identical to Dove, in consistence, smell (creamy and fresh) and results, but it comes at a much cheaper price (Dove is £3.49 per 500ml). So if you like Dove this product is certainly worth a go.
Even though this product is designed just a bubble bath I have been using it as a body wash. The difference between bubble bath and body wash is usually the consistency, bubble bath is runnier. However, this is not really a problem is you are going to put the crème onto a sponge and rub it in. It nicely lavers the body in foaming bubbles and leaves your skin soft and moisturised.
In whichever way you want to use this product it is brilliant. I have found it just as good as more expensive makes, such as Dove, and still gives you the same, high quality results at a much cheaper price. I highly recommended to anyone.
It looks a bit girly doesn't it? Can a man go into Boots and proudly pick up something that looks like is designed for a lady. Well, of course they can! Just make sure you buy a Mach 3 when you buy it, to reaffirm that masculine vibe!
Boots have come up with a winner here. The Moisture Relaxing Cream Bath is a bubble bath, designed to smooth skin and take away the stresses of the day. How does it it do this though? Well the key ingredient for the moisture is the sandalwood, which is renowned for its ability to soften and soothe the skin. The ylang ylang might sound like some suspicious Chinese herb, but fear not, it is a fragrant and enriching essential oil which is great for skin rejuvenation. It will make your nose go all twitchy and sensitive.
How to use:
Pour under running water, preferably warm water until you achieve a wonderful frothy bubble bath mix. The bubbles stay pert and alert through the bath and do not fizzle out too quickly. This allows you to indulge for longer and also play around the bubbles, which I like to do. Blowing them into the air and covering parts of me, in an exotic fashion.
The after effects are pleasing, leaving the skin smooth and soft to the touch without being sticky. There is not much in the way of residue round the bathtub to wash away, save for some bubbly bits which fizzle out on their own accord eventually.
The price comes in at about a quid and the bottle will last about a month. It is cheaper than Radox, less pungent, but just as relaxing in its own way. If you like Dove products then I suspect this will be up your street too.
Whilst in Boots the other day I was stocking up on bubble baths and bath washes. I will to be honest use any brand so long as I like the smell. So there I was flipping up lids and unscrewing them taking in the fresh scents and fragrances and also remembering prices as some were a bit steep for my liking.
I then came across a pretty basic looking flip top bottle, in a creamy white colour saying Pure on the front. I then noticed it was a Boots own brand Body Wash. Now the Pure product I am reviewing is not actually the one in the picture but there are so many pure body washes and cream bath that you can buy I didn't see the point in suggesting it again. I flipped open the lid and my nose was immediately greeted by a clean, delicate, soft soapy smell.
By clean I really mean the smell of a soap - see bubble baths and body washes to me don't smell 'clean' like a bar of soap does, instead bubble baths and body washes have rich fragrances to them where as a bar of soap has that basic smell but it always smells clean. This is exactly what it smelt like, but softer and alot more appealing.
I just had to buy some. It cost me under a £1 for a 300ml bottle which I thought was a pretty good price - and of course I had my boots points on my advantage card on top of that.
Now although this is actually a shower wash I wanted to use it in the bath as a body wash. I read the back to see if it had any claims to live up to.
This is what it says 'A luxurious body wash with a pure silk and moisturising formula that leaves your skin feeling soft and smooth. The rich silky lather has been specially designed to give you an indulgent shower experience'.
'Pfft' I thought, it couldn't really be this good could it, afterall it is just Boots own bodywash and it was considerably low in price. It was time to test it out.
I run myself a bath and jumped in (well stepped in really). Grabbing my loofer spongey thing I squirted the amount of body wash I wanted on it. It was quite a thick liquid, but not too thick - in fact just right and an attractive pearl colour. The fragrance was strong and lingered around my bathroom. It lathered up really well and felt so soft and creamy oozing between my fingers.
I scrubbed where I wanted too and was impressed that the bubbles and lather were not disapearing like they usually do with other products. Instead it spread evenly over my body. I washed it off and jumped back out of the bath. After drying myself I could still smell the strong scent of the body wash, my body smelt so refreshed and clean. My skin did feel really soft too, which is good as my skin does tend to become dry in places but my skin really felt like it had had a good thorough clean as well as being moisturised.
I would definitely reccomend this to anybody looking to try out a new body wash whether it be for a shower or bath. It really lived up to the statement on the back of the bottle which I was overly pleased with. There are other Boots Pure products you can get and in other colours but I havn't really took much notice of them, instead for now I am sticking to the Pure moisture - Softening Silk Body Wash. It does say it's New on the bottle but now I've seen it and tried it I will continue using it as it made my bathing experience an enjoyable, relaxing and stunning one really.
When ordering some Christmas presents online from Boots.com I needed to spend a few pounds more to get the bonus advantage points so amongst other things I thought I would stock up on some bubble bath as I seem to go through it quite quickly as I have a bath every evening. I thought it would be a good opportunity to try something new so when I saw that Boots had a new product called Pure moisture Relaxing Cream Bath I thought I would give it a try.
This is a cream bubble bath that contains extracts of sandalwood and ylang-ylang. It is said to moisturise your skin to leave your skin feeling smooth and soft and the formula of the cream bath will give you an indulgent bathing experience. It all sounds good so I was keen to try.
The product comes in a pale pink plastic bottle. It is slightly opaque so if you hold it up to the light you can see how much is left. It has a flip top cap at the top of the bottle and the bottle holds 400ml. It costs 97p but at the time of writing was on offer for 2 for £1.50.
When you add the lovely pink coloured cream bath to running water it soon starts to produce lots of bubbles. The smell is wonderful, a lovely sweet and relaxing smell. I am not really sure what sandalwood and ylang-ylang smell like but if this products smells of that then it's a lovely smell. Once the bath is run there are lots and lots of bubbles and the smell fills the bathroom. I love lying back and relaxing and just enjoying the wonderful scent filling the air. The bubbles last ages too, I hate bubbles that disappear within a few minutes of getting into the bath.
The bubble bath feels really gentle on my skin and you feel it softens your skin and gently fragrances it. The scent probably is more a girly scent than a man's scent but my husband has used the bubble bath and hasn't complained.
I think this is a lovely bubble bath, its good value for money, produces lots of bubbles, leaves skin feeling soft and it smells wonderful. I will certainly be buying this one again.
