Advantages: Soft and floral scent, creamy, cheap.
Disadvantages: Use alot to lather up, not very skin softening.
My mum bought this because it was on special offer for just £1 in Tesco; I have also seen it for a relatively cheap price in other places such as Superdrug's and Asda. I guess I know where I get my bargain hunting from! I decided to use it this morning during a quick shower as I was in a bit of a rush and this was the nearest thing to hand.
The packaging of this shower cream is very pretty. The cream lid and wavy design of the bottle gives it a soft feminine appeal and the shape of the bottle is rather unique. The lid is the exact same colour as the shower cream and as the bottle is transparent it looks very attractive.
This shower cream is from the Imperial Leather Japanese Spa Range. This range uses tradition Eastern ingredients to create the 'Japanese' style crème. This Limited edition bottles combines Green tea which is known as an anti-oxidant, rice milk which is caring and gentle on the skin and finally Jasmine which is know for its relaxing and soothing qualities. It does sound every welcoming and the product suggests that it is lightly moisturising and 100% soap free. However as far as it being a limited edition I think that's slightly incorrect. It's been around for a couple of years so I don't think it is going to disappear in the immediate future!
As soon as I opened the bottle I had a pleasant smell envelope me. A very light fragrance that smells slightly floral and powdery. I really liked the scent and I admit is stayed on my skin very subtly for a couple of hours after the shower which was nice. Nothing too overpowering, just light and fresh.
The crème itself I found to be quite runny and I had to use quite a lot to get it to lather up. This is a shame because I can see this bottle running out very quickly! It did lather up eventually but this was a bit disappointing.
It claims to be lightly moisturising and it is indeed light. My skin did feel clean but not very soft or ultra moisturised but it was very skin friendly. I had no red or blotchy skin after I had dried off.
All in all this is a bargain at the price and the fragrance is very pleasant. Other then that it is just a normal shower cream. I wouldn't recommend this if you have dry skin because although it won't irritate it, I found it not to be as hydrating as it advertised to be. I will buy this again simply because of the price and the bottle looks rather pretty on my bathroom shelf!
Thank-you for reading.
Summary: A cheap & cheerful shower cream with a lovely scent.
