      Creamy long lasting shower gel

I bought 'Cussons Pure Moisturising Shower Cream' from Home Bargains a few weeks ago. It's a large 500ml bottle for only a pound. I chose it above the others on the shelf as I liked the sound of shea butter and liked the smell when I sniffed it.

The bottle is large and a bit awkward to hold, it has a flip top lid with a pour control hole. It's see through plastic so handy to see how much is left. The label is plain with a honey comb pictured; it tells us that the shower cream is 'Pure, moisturising with shea butter and honey'. The shower cream is mild enough for the whole family, is dermatologically tested has a skin friendly PH level and will leave skin clean, soft and smooth. The ingredients list on the back is extensive as usual.

The shower cream itself is very pale peach in colour and thick in consistency, it blobs out of the bottle. Not much is needed, I only use a 50p sized dollop and that creates enough creamy bubbles for my whole shower. However this is dependant on whether or not I use a sponge or scrunchie- using a flannel or nothing requires more as it doesn't lather very well on it's own.

What strikes me most is the fragrance; in the bottle it smelt nice, hard to describe although not honey or shea butter. It smells highly perfumed whilst showering floral almost. This strong scent stays on my skin for a while and to be honest I'd rather it didn't. Fortunately it dies down after an hour or so but is still evident- I think it's the strongest smelling shower gel I've used in a long time.

This moisturising shower cream isn't sticky despite containing shea butter and honey it leaves no residue whatsoever. I feel really clean after using this and my skin does feel soft and smooth, somewhat moisturised and is not drying at all. I've not been irritated by this stuff except by the smell............

For the strength of the scent I'm knocking a point off so 4 stars from me.

A nice little buy that will last you ages!

One of the things that I do every day usually is bath or shower, I'm pretty sure I'm not alone in that!

The other day I was running out of shower gel/cream which isn't a rare occurrence in my home with both me and my boyfriend often bathing and showering here and we are both heavy handed people on our beauty products!

So remembering I was running out, when I was in my local B & M store I grabbed a couple of shower products and this was one of them. Seeing it was a Cussons product (a brand I know of) and that it was only 99p a bottle I snapped up this variety of shower cream and there were a couple of other scents in within the range I could have gone for but a quick sniff of this in store was all I needed to make me purchase it!

      The Packaging:

This comes in a rather large plastic, see-through but slightly frosted bottle with a flip top lid concealing a small hole to the top of it and on the front of it there is a picture shown of a honey comb and we are clearly told that it is Cussons Pure Creamy, Moisturising Shower Cream 'With Shea Butter & Honey' and then on the back of the bottle other information given includes being told a small amount about the product and directions for use are given, the size is stated which in this case is 500ml and contact details for the manufacturer are clearly given. Nice enough, unisex looking packaging this is however it doesn't have a lever arm or anything to any part of it to hang it but it is a sturdy enough bottle and stands well on my shower shelf so that doesn't matter to me anyway!

      Using It:

The liquid is a very light peachy colour and of really good consistency, not being sloppy and having body to it without being too thick. It is smooth and feels creamy and all you need per wash is quite a small amount and you can use it on a sponge/scrunchy/flannel, hand...... anything you chose, both me and my boyfriend have shower scrunchies.

This lathers up quickly into a really nice and moisturising body wash that has a wonderful aroma to it. You'd expect this to really smell of sweet honey though it doesn't. It has base notes of honey within it but that isn't the heaviest scented part of this and neither is the shea butter it contains. To me this has a sea fresh, sort of aftershave aroma to it in the main with hints of honey and a shea butter fragrance, again to me this makes it a really unisex product which is why my other half uses it!

This cleans us up, leaves us smelling fresh for hours and for me it leaves my skin feeling soft enough without feeling heavily moisturised, in fact I don't think it is all that moisturising but it doesn't strip my skin of natural oils or make me feel greasy so I can't complain. If you usually use a moisturiser after washing then I think you will still feel the need to after using this though to be honest.

All in all though this is a good little buy to be fair to it. It cleans, it rinses off simply and leaves me smelling nice, yes it would be nice if it moisturised my skin but hey for 99p you can't have it all! Widely available, Google if interested.
