One thing I do enjoy is a nice hot shower. I much prefer them to baths as they as more hygenic and leave you feeling fresh and energised. I usually go for flral scented brands.
Comes in a white bottle with a green pump at the top. The dettol logo is seen at the top.
This shower gel is anti bacterial and is soap free and has a ph balance. Contains aloe vera to leave skin feeling cool and smelling fresh. This product helps keep your skin free from germs whilst gently cleaning at the same time.
I only have a shower in my flat. I prefer this as I feel much cleaner than washing in my own muck in a bath. I simply add a small blob on a flannel and sponge and clean with it. The scent lasts a couple of hours after using it. I am not over keen on the smell as it smells very much of disinfectant. I feel like I am in a hospital ward. However I had a bit of a skin rash lately and found this got rid of it straight away. Please be aware it depends on what is wrong with your skin so please ask your G.P. first before using it. Not a product I like the smell of at all but it helped with my rash. I bought this from my local 99p store.
I get through alot of bath and shower products. I don't have a shower anymore and only a bath however I still buy shower gel because I have just invested in a plug onto the taps shower head and I have a mate with a shower as well and she has no bath so we use each others amenities lol.
This actually though wasn't a product I bought. It's one of my mates products in her bathroom she uses often and so I have used it rather a few times too!
The bottle is very distinctive being a sort of oval in shape and with bright green and white labeling over the white plastic, sturdy looking bottle. It has a lever, push button dispenser to the top of it (that doesn't actually switch on and off) and on the front of it we are told that it is Dettol, Hygienic 'Original Shower Gel and then on the back of it other information given includes being told a little about the product and the ingredients are given, the size is stated (which in this case is 650g) and contact details for the manufacturer are stated. This is a functional bottle (apart from not being able to travel with it cos it will leak!), it's unisex and looks serious opposed to anything nice we would want to display in our bathroom I reckon!
Well the cream as I think of this product is an off white thickish substance with a pearly sheen to it. You don't need very much of this per application at all to get a really nice foamy lather going in and in use this feels very smooth on the skin and rather luxurious....apart from the fragrance.
This has a herbal kind kind of fragrance though the unmistakable aroma of Dettol (like disinfectant) is certainly also within it. This particular shower Gel is meant to help kill germs from the skin, gently of course. It isn't a surgical aroma really and this is meant to be a daily use shower gel for all the family as the formulation is meant to be mild and this is not marketed at injured people or anything like that but for me this really doesn't smell good and the disinfectant aroma is not disguised by the herbal fragrance, which to be fair I don't think it's meant to anyway! That fragrance is detectable, lightly on the skin for a good few hours which is off putting to me!
However I can't say that this isn't a great shower gel. It foams up beautifully, it certainly feels nice and gently invigorating on the skin and my skin is left wonderfully soft and smooth. I can shave my bits and pieces with ease using this and my skin really does feel healthy and supple, so much so I don't feel the need to moisturise my skin after using this.
This is simply great, apart from the slightly clinical smell it has to it which for me is a shame because I can't justify going around smelling of disinfectant all day (or night lol) and I would only use this if keeping myself to myself!
My friend always buys this at Poundland for a pound a bottle of course and apart from the 99p shop and Wilkinson's (at the same price) we haven't seen it anywhere else so keep your eyes peeled or Google it if interested!
