Dolce and Gabbana The One Shower Gel

      The One

In the past I have bought my husband Dolce and Gabbana The One for Men as it has such a nice fragrance and helps that it was advertised by Matthew McConaughey with his shirt off,......ahhhh, anyway.... I also have the fragrance for women as I loved the mens one so much so on the back of this I decided to buy some Dolce and Gabbana shower gel as I saw it for sale in House of Fraser recently. I was firstly attracted to the bottle as I thought it looked quite classic and would look good in my bathroom. The bottle is fairly small and cylindrical and has a ceramic look to it. The stopper on the top is gold and in a rectangle shape. On the front of the bottle is written Dolce and Gabbana The One in nice clean black writing with gel parfume pour la douche (perfumed shower gel) written on it.

This smell is more for women than The One for Men. The mens fragrance had a more spicy, oriental wiff to it whereas this smell is described as having top notes that radiate a vibrant luminosity, with a sun-touched citrus blend of bergamot and mandarin. It also has fruity notes of luscious lychee and succulent peach. I would describe this as having quite a warm fruity smell to it, it's not an amazingly light fragrance, it's a bit heavier than that but not overpowering or too smelly that it puts you off.

The gel itself is quite thick and sticky which is nice as it does not wash away in the shower as soon as you put it in your hands or apply it to your skin. It lathers up really well and fills up the whole shower with a beautiful smell. The fragrance lasts well on my skin and if you use this in conjunction with the perfume then you can really layer up well.

Obviously as this is a designer brand it is very expensive as just a shower gel but sometimes little luxuries are well worth it. A 200ml bottle will cost you £25 but it is one I recommend.
