“ Brand: Dove / Type: Body Wash / Suitable for: Body / Skin type: for dry skin and for all types „
I was given a couple of bottles of this wash by Dove for Christmas - I think my relatives know that I love Dove products as they are so gentle on my skin. I hadn't used this wash previously and I was intrigued by the combination of nectarine and ginger - both scents that I love - which seemed rather unusual The bottle is slightly different to that pictured here. It is a thick white plastic bottle with flashes of bright orange. The picture on the front label is that of a nectarine cut in half. The bottle flips open to allow the wash, which is a cream rather than a gel, to be squeezed out. The wash is a light orange colour with a creamy consistency and a slight glazed/sparkly sheen to it. It smells very fruity - peachy (not sure how different this is to nectarine, but it definitely reminded me of peaches) but I really could not detect any ginger in it at all. When I sniff very, very closely there may be a slight hint of it but, if I had no idea what the fragrance was meant to be, I would never guess that it contained ginger. I use this on a shower scrunchie and this allows me to lather the cream up quite well. It is not the best lathering wash I have ever used but it does lather adequately. On my skin it feels gentle and caring and certainly does not dry it out like some washes can. Whilst using, I can smell the peachy scent but, once rinsed off it is not noticeable on my skin at all. After use, I feel clean and fresh. I have seen this wash on sale for around £1.50 (sometimes cheaper if there is a promotion on) and I think that this is a fair price for the wash. Aside from the slight disappointment of the lack of ginger fragrance, it is a good wash that cleans and cares for my skin so I think it worthy of four dooyoo stars and I would definitely purchase again.
I seem to end up with a lot of Dove products as my family always buy them for me as they are very moisturising and my skin is always so dry. I am trying frantically to use them up before my next batch is given to me at Christmas, so the next product to come out the product was the dove go fresh body wash in nectarine and white ginger fragrance. The bottle is a lovely light orange colour which is really cheerful in the shower. It has a lovely picture of a juicy nectarine cut in half, which i find really appealing. The bottle is opaque so it is hard to see into the bottle to see what the product looks like or how much of it remains. This is the same for most dove products though, and only a minor annoyance. I tend to use shower gels/body washes on either a shower scrunchie or exfoliating gloves. A small amount will then lather up really well for a wash, and makes the bottle last ages. When i squeeze the wash out, it has a lovely orange colour and has a shiny gloss to it. It seems really thick. The smell is more like peach to me, and i can only smell the ginger in it when i put my nose up close. It is only a very subtle smell. I really like ginger so i wish it smelled more strongly of it. The scent of the wash is quite strong when i am showering but i don't find it lingers on my skin once i am dried after the shower. My skin is left feeling nice and soft. I have quite dry skin, but i can get away without applying moisturiser if i use this wash. I find it a lovely product that i am happy to continue to purchase. I find it nicer than some of the floral scents that dove do, and it is effective at what it does. I'd be glad to get it as a gift again. I'm going to give it 4 stars as i wish the scent was a little stronger and lingered longer after i used it. Thanks for reading and rating my review.
I got a little sample of this through the post several weeks ago and just shoved it to the back of the cupboard. My reasons for doing this were the fact that the bottle is a peach colour and I absolutely hate that colour and secondly I noticed it had ginger in it and that's another thing I cant bear, smell or taste! Anyway I was shopping in Boots with a friend the other day and she picked some up and said how wonderful it was. It reminded me that mine was at the back of the cupboard under the washbasin so when I got home I dug it out. Now as I said my bottle is a tiny free sample bottle just 55ml's but a 250ml bottle of this will cost you £1.99 in Boots although it is on offer right now for £1.33. My bottle is a peach (yuk) colour and the regular size bottles are the same. *The Bodywash* The bodywahs is an orangey colour and quite thick. I was a bit worried about what the smell would be like but I need not have been. I could smell absolutely no trace of the white ginger at all , the only fragrance I got was a delicious fruity citrus smell. Very light and very fresh. It really is lovely. It has that extra creamy feel to it as you come to expect from Dove. Once onto the sponge the body wash lathered up beautifully and as I washed I could feel how creamy the lather was on my skin. After I got out of the bath and dries my skin felt smooth and the citrus smell lingered on not only my skin but in the bathroom too for some time. I always have to use moisturiser after bathing but I did notice my skin wasn't as dry after using this body wash so I was pleased about that. On the whole I would recommend this Dove body wash but I'm not sure I will buy it. I loved the smell but I couldn't live with the peach colour bottle.
I'm a great fan of Dove products as I find them extremely moisturising for my skin and as there are so many products in their range there is something to suit all skin types. The product I am reviewing is their Beauty Care Body Wash Go Fresh in nectarine and white ginger fragrance. For those of you who have been following my reviews, you may be aware that I regularly access the website named Magic Freebies, where you can apply for free trial size products. I was fortunate enough to receive a 55ml bottle of Dove's Beauty Care Body Wash, which is an extremely generous trial size, particularly as the full size product is 250ml. Whilst I am reviewing my trial bottle, it is identical to the larger size bottle, but is simply a miniature version. The bottle is a gorgeous pale orange in colour and is made with recyclable plastic. Dove's logo is situated in the upper centre with an eye-catching image of a nectarine and a white flower located below. The body wash in my trial container is dispensed from a good size opening underneath a twist and pull lid. However, the larger version is a flip-top lid and whilst I haven't purchased the larger bottle in this exact fragrance, I've used many other fragrances. As with all Dove products, they dispense extremely easily. The wash is a gorgeous orange in colour and is of a fairly thick consistency. It smells simply delightful with the fresh scent of mandarins and a subtle hint of ginger. I'm not a great lover of the fragrance of ginger, but the scent is so delicate, that it simply does not bother me. I apply a small amount of the wash onto a body polisher and gently apply to my dampened skin with circular movements. The wash lathers extremely well and the fragrance is clearly evident for your entire shower. Whilst this product is a body wash and designed for use in both the bath and shower, I find as the lather is so extreme it is more suited for the shower, as otherwise you will end up with a bath full of soap suds!! As this is such an uplifting fragrance, I tend to use it for morning showers as a "wake me up" as I prefer something more relaxing for bedtime, such as lavender. The cream wash is extremely rich and provides plenty of lather and I find that one application is sufficient for one shower. However, if you choose to use a sponge or flannel, you will find you may need to use more of the product. After rinsing and towel drying, my skin always feels beautifully fragranced with the subtle aroma of nectarine, which seems to linger for quite a few hours afterwards. The product made my skin extremely clean and hydrated, particularly as it contains ¼ moisturising cream. I found the cream wash was gentle on my skin and left me with silky smooth results. A 250ml bottle of Dove's Beauty Care Body Wash Go Fresh in Nectarine and White Ginger is available in most supermarkets and chemists. In order to provide you with an up-to-date price, I have checked Boots' website and discovered they are selling it for £1.99. As this is such a fantastic product it gets 5 out of 5 dooyoo stars from me. I hope you found my review useful and I would thank you for reading.
I have tried many of the Dove body range and find them good, but I received the Dove Beauty Care Bodywash as a little gift. The only thing was finding the time to have a relaxing bath!! The product comes in a peachy coloured bottle and looks quite good on the bathroom shelf. It comes in a 250ml 'squeezy' bottle, but i'm not sure about larger bottles-other products from the range do, so this one probably does aswell. You don't need to use much of this to create a lather on the skin. As you rub it into your body it creates a white, lovely smelling lather. It does smell refreshing. It contains 1/4 moisturising cream, which is good for somebody like me that can't be bothered to moisturise, so I'm happy that I can do two jobs in one go! It does leave your skin feeling soft with a slight fragrance. It is a bodywash and it does create a bit of foam in your bath water. You would have to use quite a bit if you wanted a bubble bath effect. I sometimes squirt a load under the running tap. This way you will use up the bottle much quicker. I know Dove also offer other fragrances in this range-grapefruit&lemongrass fragrance, cucumber & green tea fragrance (I love this one). These also come in colourful bottles. You will find the Dove range in most major stores, but I am not too sure on the price. They have a 12 month shelf life.
I received this as a mini tester, so I thought I should test it. Looking it up, it seems that this normally costs about £2 for a 250 ml bottle. my tester was in the same shape bottle, and I like it. The lid was easy to remove, the gel was free flowing even though it is quite thick, and I had no trouble reaching the last drop, even though the lid is curved so it's difficult to leave upside down. The scent on opening the bottle is a rich, peachy scent, there's very little of the ginger noticeable. It's a translucent peach gloop, so it looks as it smells. The liquid leaves the bottle easily, and slides on the skin with a bubbly lather. Enriched with moisturisers, it really does leave the skin feeling silky smooth as well as being a good cleanser. It lathers well in the shower, although when I tried it as a bubble bath I was a little disappointed. It also cleaned my hair very nicely, and again, left me feeling as though I had conditioned, silky smooth. Ingredients are: Aqua, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Glycerin, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Cocamide MEA, Parfum, Isopropyl Palmitate, Hedychium Coronarium Flower/Leaf/Stem Extract, Zingiber Officinale Root Oil, Prunus Persica, Nectarina Fruit Extract, Acrylates Copolymer, Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride, Propylene Glycol, Glycol Distearate, PPG-12, Laureth-4, Ethylhexylglycerin, Sodium Chloride, Citric Acid, Sodium Benzoate, Phenoxyethanol, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Citronellol, Hexyl Cinnamal, Limonene, Linalool, CI 14700, CI 19140. So you need to watch out for potential allergens, but it really is made with the items named (nectarine and ginger). Due to the all over clean feeling it gives, I would suggest this as best use, swimming pool or gym, where you don't want to take multiple bottles.
I was surprised and very pleased to receive a free sample of Dove Beauty Care Body Wash through my letter box a while back. I have just got round to using it and definately like it enough to buy a full size bottle. This bottle is part of Dove's Go Fresh range and has a burst of nectarine and white ginger fragrance. As with other Dove products, this one has a 1/4 moisturiser, which leaves your skin feeling silky soft. I squeezed some onto my shower puff and it really is a gorgeous orange, slightly shimmery gel. It is quite thick and you don't need to use too much of it. It lathered up well on my body and I found myself covered in luxurious, white, fluffy bubbles. The fragrance from this Dove body wash is lovely. You can clearly smell the nectarine, but the white ginger is very subtle. It does smell very sweet and fruity and the zesty smell gives you that much needed burst of energy, first thing in the morning. By the end of the shower, the scent filled my bathroom. While towel drying, I noticed my skin felt very soft, smooth and well moisturised. I usually moisturise after a shower but did not find that necessary this time, so in the long run it could save you some money on body moisturiser. My skin felt clean and fresh and had a light scent to it, the scent does last on your skin for very long though. This does not matter that much to me because, I will likely still moisturise once in a while, when using this body wash. My skin has a tendency to dry out quite badly through the winter months, so moisturising is an important part of my routine. I have used this a couple of times now and still have some left in my sample bottle. I do like it enough to buy a full size bottle and will do this soon. Dove Beauty Care Body Wash can be purchased in Tesco at a cost of £1 for a 250ml bottle. This body wash left my skin feeling clean and fresh and also soft and moisturised. What more could I ask for?
Like a lot of people reviewing this dove beauty care bodywash burst, I received a little sample bottle through the post, after subscribing to Dove's website. Now, I am a big fan of Dove soaps and handwashes, but had previouly not tried there body washes, so I was keen to try this out. There is 55ml in this little sample bottle, although the regular size bottle contains 250ml and currently costs £1 in Tesco. The bottle is a peachy colour, and it states on the front that this is a 'beauty care body wash go fresh' with nectarine and white ginger fragrance. It also states that it contains 1/4 moisturising cream. Now I have not as yet bought a regular bottle of this, and I hope for Dove's sake that they have made the regular size bottle lids easier to open than this sample size. It is near impossible when your hands are wet in the shower to try to get off the cap from this sample bottle. I have now had to open the cap before I get into the shower - so I hope that this has been remedied by Dove for their normal bottle, as I think this would put me off. Even when you open the bottle, there is the most gorgeous fragrance from it. It is a fresh, fruity smell that it sugary sweet. It doesn't take a lot of this body wash to create a good lather and I have found that it has left my skin smooth and moisturised, as well as leaving a lignering fragrance on it, albeit for a short time, but it is nice to come out of the shower smelling sweet and most importantly clean. As I said, I love Dove products and really feel that they moisturise your skin very well, as well as having a lovely scent. I often suffer from sensitive skin, but I have found that any Dove products that I have ever used have never disagreed with my skin. I am still using the little sample bottle, interchanging it with other shower gels/ soaps, but I will most likely purchase a regular size bottle in the supermarket when I am finished it, as I love the moisturising element to it, as well as the great fruity scent that it leaves on my skin. All in all, another great Dove product, that I could highly recommend!
Dove have launched a new 'Go Fresh' range, this one is called 'Burst' which is fragranced with nectarine and white ginger. My Review: I use this one in the shower, its very highly scented so I wouldn't recommend for the bath. The scent is very fruity albeit it a bit synthetic. Because the product is quite thick, I think it would sink to the bottle of a bath rather than lathering up easily. Only a small amount is needed for a thick lather which impressed me, I can see the bottle lasting quite a while! I have pretty dry skin so I tend to be wary of highly scented products which can sometimes be that way in order to disguise harsh compounds in the product which can make my skin worse. I'm glad to say I did not note any drying of my skin. It didn't feel super moisturised but I did feel good and clean, thats why we have moisturiser for afterwards right? Background: I received a free sample bottle of this product from Dove and have since purchased a full size bottle from a high street chemist. Packaging: Fairly standard orange plastic bottle with flip top lid - not my favoured packaging for travelling (which is a shame because the product has a really tropical/warm scent, but theres too much popping open potential!) but its fine for the shower at home. The standard bottle is 250ml. Price: Dove products are often on buy 1 get 1 free and the standard retail price of this product is approximately £2.50 for a decent sized bottle I think this is a reasonable price. Also reviewed on BeautyJudge.
I'd read about this new range of Dove body washes on several review sites and thought it sounded quite nice. As almost everybody who was reviewing it seemed to have gotten a small sample bottle through the post I thought 'I want one!' and lo and behold out of the blue a few days later one popped through my letterbox; hooray! The body wash is part of the Go Fresh range that Dove has been slowly introducing and this one - 'Burst' (Nectarine and white ginger fragrance) is one of 3 at the moment, the other two being 'Touch' and 'Energise'. The price and packaging etc, etc ~ As I am reviewing the sample size I will just add that the standard size this comes in is a 250ml bottle and the recommended retail price is £2.28 (according to the dove website). This little sample bottle is 55ml's and is a tear drop shape and is a lovely warm shade of peach in colour. This bottle has a plastic removable lid (not sure whether the regular size is identical) and to remove the wash you simply hold upside down and squeeze your fingers in the middle of the bottle. As this wash is quite thick and creamy in consistency it comes out in a blob, rather than runs out but as it's so thick you only need a small amount to use. So, actually using the body wash~ I applied a small amount to the palm of my hands whilst in the shower before lathering it up. The scent is so beautiful and though it's nectarine and white ginger, the first thing you notice is the nectarine - it's so fruity smelling you could eat it (but don't please!). I can't say I can detect the white ginger - even after using several times but that's not a bad thing as the nectarine scent far makes up for it. Anyway after applying this to the palm of my hands I noticed it lathered up immediately and on applying to the rest of my skin it felt wonderful! I have skin that borders on the dry side and always have to use a separate body lotion after a bath or shower; no matter what the shower creams promise but with this I could feel it moisturising my skin as I washed with it. The outcome~ After rinsing the body wash off and toweling dry, my skin felt really soft and not dry at all. I was in shock as no other shower cream has done this! My skin felt like velvet and smelled wonderful ( but made me want to eat nectarines for a while after using) and though this was a teeny weeny 55ml bottle it lasted for several showers as only such a small amount was needed. Would I recommend this?~ Without a doubt YES. I don't care if this isn't the cheapest shower cream on the market - it's so rich and creamy that it saves me money on buying body lotions and creams plus it leaves your bathroom (or which ever room you wash yourself with it in) smelling divine. Buy it!
Dove is one of the brands of bodywashes I tend to use most frequently. I find the 1/4 moisturising cream it contains really helps keep my dry skin moisturised on days when I'm too lazy to apply a separate moisturiser on my body. However the scent of the plain Dove is rather boring so I was quite excited when I found out they were bringing out this Bodywash Burst. Bodywash Burst comes in a colourful light orange bottle with a cut open nectarine on it that looks so inviting. To use it you flip open the cap, and then I apply mine to a bath puff as I feel this makes it lather very easily. You could also pour some into the bath and use it as bubble bath! The scent of this product is just lovely. I smell strong flavours of nectarine in there with just a hint of white ginger. The smell is really quite strong but not overpowering and it's the perfect thing to put me in a good mood in the morning (or at least as good as possible for a workday). This soap lathers extremely well just like the normal Dove does, and it also moisturises my skin just as well. But it's all down to the scent with this one that makes it special which is why I think I'll be buying this instead of normal Dove from now on. Apparently the range was designed to appeal to 20-something women but I feel it will appeal to all ages. Especially now that the winter is here it's nice to have something cheery to wash with and I do believe aromatherapy works wonders to lift people's mood. This sells for around £2.30 for a 250ml bottle. I do feel that you need to use a bit more of it than you would with other liquid soaps as it's slightly diluted due to the moisturising cream, but still this is a good price for this product and well worth it.
I was really excited to receive a sample bottle of Dove's new nectarine and white ginger body wash in the post last week. mmmm... nectarine and ginger -sounds really exotic and I generally love fruity shower gels so was looking forward to this one. The bottle itself is a 55ml sample and is just a smaller version of the one in shops at the moment. It is coloured in a peachy colour with a picture of a nectarine and white flower (does this represent the ginger?) on the front. The wash is priced at around £2.50 for a bottle in most places but I believe it is currently on promotion in Tesco at just £1! I woke up this morning, absolutely freezing, and dreading the shower, but the thought of trying out my new wash got me in there! When I first opened the bottle I immediately got a waft of the most gorgeous, juicy, nectarine. It smelt quite zingy and reminded me of orange sorbet. Yum! I wouldn't mind smelling of that all day! The wash itself is a shimmery orange colour and together with the smell reminded me of a late summer day. To use wet body, massage onto skin to form a lather and then wash off - it's not rocket science! The wash lathered really well and smelt divine. Once washed off my skin felt very smooth - that'll be th 1/4 moisturising lotion the bottle contains, but not any different to the other washes in the Dove range that I have used. The smell lasted most of the day, though obviously did fade with time. Overall I really liked the new wash, mainly because of the smell, but also because it is quite moisturising too. I'll definately be heading down to Mr T's to get a bigger bottle once this has finished, whilst it is still on promotion. I'm not sure whether I would buy the wash if it wasn't on promotion though - £2.50 seems a little expensive to me. And...I'm actually looking forward to my shower tomorrow!
I woke up the other day to a freebie from Dove on my doorstep. The Dove Beauty Care Bodywash Burst, in a 55 ml bottle. Lovely! The bottle itself is very nice indeed, shimmery and orange and it has a more luxurious feel to it that most body wash bottles do. So far so good. The body wash itself is thick and, continuing the theme from the bottle, is orange and shimmery. It smells fantastic. As soon as you open it up you are hit with a nectarine and ginger fragrance. Unlike some body washes the smell continues out side of the bottle, fills the room and lasts for a while. I found that the scent also stays on my skin long after my shower was finished. Dove state that the body wash contains 1/4 moisturising cream and for me this really did seem like the case. My skin was left moisturised for a few hours after use, however I would still recommend to use a moisturiser as the results didn't last all day. After using the free sample I feel that I will purchase the full size bottle. The nice, summery smell warms up a cold winter day!
I recieved a little trial bottle of this shower gel a few weeks ago from dove, i decided last night after finishing off the shower gel i had been using to give this a try. I was quite excited about trying this as i love anything fruit smelling. The shower gel comes in a lovely peach shimmering plastic bottle that can be stored up to 12 months of opening it, not that shower gel lasts that long in our house. The bottle tells me it is white ginger and nectarine scented and contains 1/4 moisturising cream. Upon opening the bottle the lovely nectarine smell over powers your senses immediately and for me being a fruit lover this is great, it smells lovely enough to eat although i will resist, I cant smell the white ginger though as the nectarine is so strong. The shower gel itself is a realy nice orange colour and very thick, it is a little difficult to get out of the trial bottle but means you waste less as it doesnt run everywhere like others do. It lathers up to give a generous amount of bubbles on your skin and feels quite nice untill you hit a sore or broken piece of skin which it does sting quite a lot which was a disapointment but i suppose is to be expected with a citrus shower gel, The smell doesnt realy linger on your skin for very long after getting out of the bath so wont interfere with any scents you might want to wear but i was disapointed that despite it containing moisturising cream it actually left my skin feeling quite dry and a lot dryer than the previous avon shower gel i had been using. After using the trial bottle i dont think this will be something i will be buying.
My missus loves freebies so she decided to be clever and sign up to be a member of "With Dove" - Dove.co.uk's online club. She signed up and has been receiving freebies ever since! On her birthday she even got a mini bottle freebie- not just the normal sachets of samples but a whole mini bottle! She was made up, she said it was dead cute. She also gets discount vouchers which is also good, like 50p off a normal full sized bottle for example. Well recently, she got a sample of the latest freebie at the time- Dove BurstBodywash, and again it was a mini bottle not just a sachet which she loved! It was only 55ml and the full size is available in 250ml but its enough for one and a half showers if you're a bit stingy! The lid is a screw top, not a flick lid which I prefer but missus doesn't as she constantly drops it in the shower and has bumped her head on the screen trying to retrieve it! How embaressing! Good job she won't see this! The mini bottle is peach-coloured and this a clue to what's inside! The smell is really nice, even though I do (a man) say so myself! Its nectarine and white ginger and nectarine extract is included in the ingredients. It smells so good you'd want to eat it! The aroma lasts for a while on your skin afterwards which a lot of products don't usually do so that's also good. the liquid inside lathers up nicely on the skin and leaves you silky smooth- how do I know? Uh well, I said it was enough in there for one and a half showers- and I decided to try the leftovers before washing it off and putting on manly Lynx to cover up the fru fru girly smell! Now I don't use moisturizer (that I would care to admit!) but missus says she didn't need one after her shower with this product as it left her skin silky and smooth and moisturized. Lovely. Well, there you have it, yes it was a freebie test but we both liked it - I mean SHE liked it, so she's going to get some more of this! She also said that it's a better product than a lot on the shelves these days- nice packaging, sweet smell, silky skin- what more could you ask for in a bodywash. If you want freebies sign up for dove.co.uk too! And don't say I never give you anything!
