There are some products that are must have essentials. For me this is one of them. I recently read a review on what ten things could you not live without and this is actually way at the top of my list! It's something I use more often than not, and you can keep alot of your expensive soaps even Lush soaps, in the long run for this!
I, like you who are probably reading this love all sorts of soaps but at the end of the day it's nice to pick something up that you trust and you know it wont be too highly fragranced, or make skin greasy or dry or leave skin covered in a talc like residue. I don't know even though it's cheap I still equate this to luxury and honesty!
The Packaging And Soap....
Comes in 100g recyclable navy blue and white box. On the front In blue writing tells me is is indeed Dove, beauty cream bar and a picture of a little gold Dove. Also tells me it contains 1/4 moisturising cream within it. On the back of the box tells me the ingredients, weight of the soap and contact details for Unilver (product manufacturer). The soap itself is white and appears smooth. It has a little dove engraved into the soap and the soap itself is oval and a little moulded so it's easier to use!
My Opinion....
Well I've already said I love it I'd go further and say I adore it! The smell is gorgeous and heavily scented. I've never been able to work out the smell but to me its very sweet, feminine and I would simply describe it is as rich and creamy smelling. It's a smell that stays on the skin all day long as well and is distinctively Dove.
Using it, well it's great for hand washing as it moisturises hands each time you use it. I've never used it on my face, personally I would never do that as I adhere to the recommendation of don't use soap on your face no matter what!
Personally I like to use it in shower as it's easy to use and not lose in the shower and I also use it in the bath. Yes cos it's so rich and creamy and lathers up so easy the soap doesn't last ages. No. However it's cheap for what it is and don't get me wrong a day of daily washing will last you a week so you cant complain for the price! Whats also nice about it is if you don't use it for a few days for any reason it doesn't dry out and shrivel up and go cracked!
A I just touched upon it does lather up lovely which is great for shaving legs and bits and bobs. I never ever in all the time I've used it dried out my skin as it's lovely and moisturising but at the same time I do sometimes suffer with greasy patches on my skin and blackheads and this doesn't upset that in any way shape or form even though it is heavily moisturised and scented.
I find it not only to keep me fresh and clean all day and really helps with shaving, it gives me incredibly soft skin and on days I use this I can go without any moisturiser on my skin and from time to time I use fake tan and it is recommended before doing that you exfoliate and moisturise and with this I don't have to if I choose not to!
All in all its a fantastic, rich product. Everything about it is delicious. A must have and if you have tried it shame on you ladies! lol
Can be purchased near on anywhere! I bought mine for 42p for the bar in Sainsbury's can also be bought in a pack of two bars or four.
Summary: I love it!
