“ Brand: Dove / Type: Bath Cream / Subcategory: Bath Cream / Skin type: for dry skin and for all types „
I love this product. I cannot begin to explain how much I love this product. It is great for your skin and even the most sensitive of skins it can be used on. I myself have fairly sensitive skin and found this product very effective. It is great at moisturizing your skins. At least it does mine.
The product states Cream Bath but I find that it doesn't work well as a bath product as not many bubbles are created. I've tried washing my skin with it in the bath also and found it wasn't very effective. So, I used it in the shower and I found it to be a beautiful product. I can find more than one use for a product like this and though it states bath, I prefer using it in the shower. I find this product lathers better in the shower.
The bottle looks remarkably different now but this isn't a let down. You can still acknowledge this product and it is not hard to spot on a shop shelf. It also has the additional words upon it now, 'Beauty Bath.' There are many products in this range but the one I am talking about today is the original.
For the 500ml of this product it costs around £1.00 to £1.55 depending on where you buy this product from. When I fancy this product I find it on offer in places like Poundland rather than the local supermarket.
I would highly recommend this product for use in the shower rather than in the bath. Also, if you shop around you can get it at a great price.
So far I've been really pleased with Dove products & I've tried their soaps, hand creams & body creams all with pleasing results.
When I was browsing through my local discount store I saw Dove's Indulging Cream Bath on offer at only £1.50 for a big size - 500ml.
I'm definitely a bath rather than a shower person as I like to relax & unwind after a busy day & bathing does the trick for me especially if I have something to add which makes it a real treat.
The Dove bottle is as shown in the picture & it has a sturdy flip-open cap which is easy to open & close. It's also easy to gauge just how much you want to use because although the hole is quite generous the sturdy plastic allows you to 'ration' it if required so there's no wastage of the lovely contents.
The cream bath itself is quite strong-smelling (this one is marked 'Rich Cotton Milk'), white & not too thin or too thick. It lathers up well when you add it to running water & the smell goes a little more subtle.
Afterwards I found that I felt relaxed, refreshed & my skin felt smooth & soft as well as moisturised so I was well pleased.
The product is produced by Unilever & they provide a website which is stated on the reverse of the bottle if you need /want to contact them. Also given is a fairly long list of ingredients which are printed on the back - most make no sense to me but are there if you are concerned about what goes on/ into your skin.
This bottle has lasted me ages although I use it 2 or 3 times a week so it may be worth a try especially if you see it on offer - it certainly makes bathtime a bit more special!
- in my opinion another good product from Dove.
- strong smell which maybe too much for some people?
- leaves skin feeling moisturised, fresh & clean.
- claims to 'relax mind & body' - it did for me!
- good price for what you get.
The cream bath itself is
I have very sensitive skin which, for some reason, seems to get annoyingly more sensitive the older I get, so I have to be careful about the products I use when washing. Regular soap and shower gels tend to make me itch or bring a small rash out which I exacerbate by scratching, but in general, Dove products are good for my skin.
This Dove Cream is designed for the bath, but I quite happily use it in the shower as well. I usually manage to find multiple purposes for a product I like, and this one has noe exception. If I have a bath, I can use it as the bath foam, or as a 'soap', and similarly in the shower as a shower gel/cream/'soap'.
The bonus of Dove in general is what it boasts: that it doesn't dry your skin like soap can, and Dove has a balanced pH formula to enhance its claim. I find my skin feels refreshed and smooth as opposed to dry and flaky once I have finished using it, and this, to me, is exactly what I need.
Occasionally, if I use the product too much, my skin does dry a little, but this is more down to my skin thatn the product I use, so I am careful to not rub too hard. I use this in conjunction with a Dove Cream Bar on a regular basis to facilitate use as well and make it practical.
Dove products on the whole are a very good range, and I highyl recommend at least giving them a go, especially if you have sensitive skin. The smell is very nice, a very 'clean' and soap-like smell, as if you were using regular soap, and the effects get a thumbs up from me.
The first time I used this Dove cream bath was at a relative's house. At that time this was erhaps the only available body wash available in the markets and the other fragrances and variations were not available yet.
This is a very simple white creamy lotion like liquid. It does not foam when you pour it on your bath sponge but as soon as you apply it, it gives you a feeling of soft smoothing gel that gently cleanses your skin away. After using this, you wouldn't feel that you have bathed with any kind of soap and that's the beauty of Dove cream bath. The name is just right, it is a cream bath. After a bath with this great product, you wouldn't even feel like applying lotion for a long time. This is a complete bath system per say.
Dove has excelled in manufacturing moisturising soap products and this is another great one in the line. You can get offers on this one and find it real cheap at times so go get it !
During the week I only ever have time for a shower...but at the weekend...aaaaahhh...its me time and this begins with a long relaxing soak in a hot, fragrant, bubbly bath.
Now this product had a huge head start before i even got into the bath, because i had been lucky enough to win a goodie bag from dove. Anyway, I sloshed a good slug into the bath and went downstairs to make an accompanying cappucino (!). As i came back upstairs the fragrance from the bathroom was permeating the bedroom and bathroom...it was lovely! However, the bubble potential was disappointing (noticed then it was a cream/oil so not the products fault!).
My skin felt really soft, and the fragrance was around all day. It may have been free, but dove have sucked me in as a customer. A reasonably priced (often Buy1get1free in boots), affordable luxury treat for the weekend!
