“ Brand: Dove / Texture: Cream / Type: Body Wash / Subcategory: Shower Gel / Texture: Cream / Suitable for: Body / Skin type: for dry skin and for all types / What it does: Refreshes, „
I have always been a fan of Dove products, particularly their body washes. I've tried many of their different types of body wash and this Go Fresh variety with a nectarine and white ginger scent is one of my favourites. I purchased my latest one, which is a huge 500ml bottle, from Tesco when it was on offer for £2, which I think is an absolute bargain considering it lasts for months on end. It's current full price at Tesco is £3.99 and it can also be bought in a smaller 250ml bottle, which currently costs £2.40 at Boots.
The product comes in a white teardrop-shaped bottle, with an orange stripe on the lid. The product claims to be a 'nourishing body wash' containing 'nutrium moisture'. The product may well nourish your skin but if you suffer from dry skin anywhere, I would advise that you will also need to apply a moisturiser after bathing, as this alone won't moisturise dry skin enough. Having said that, I think it does a good job of moisturising your skin as far as a body wash goes, as my skin doesn't feel dry or tight after using the product, it's only if I've shaved my legs that I feel the need to apply moisturiser after showering when using this body wash.
The body wash is a light orange colour and, in my opinion, smells absolutely gorgeous. You can certainly smell the nectarine, and it is a slightly sweet aroma, but not sickly sweet, and you can smell it whilst showering but at the same time it isn't a smell that is too heavy. I think it's particularly a great body wash for someone who bathes or showers in the morning, as I often still feel half asleep when having a shower, and the smell of this product does a great job of helping me to wake up. Similarly to all of the other Dove body washes I've used, this one is also creamy, which makes it feel rather luxurious to use, and has a nice thickness to it so that it doesn't run everywhere. I find that it lathers up fairly easily and therefore I don't have to use too much of it at a time. I have found that the best way to apply it is using a shower puff, and this way you only need an even smaller amount of the product and it will lather up very easily. A 500ml bottle of this body wash being used once every day lasts me for months.
I would certainly recommend the nectarine and white ginger scented body wash for it's creaminess, gorgeous aroma and value for money, and I will be certainly buying it again.
I was first attracted to this body wash because of how bright the bottle was it just caught my eye when I was doing my weekly shop. Its called go fresh and smelt lovely when I opened it in the store for a sneaky sniff!.
I was excited to give it a try that evening (sad I know!!).
I tried it that evening in my shower and it was lovely. I only applied a little bit and it lathered up really well as I started to rub it into my body.
The smell was the best bit though it really did smell gorgeous it was a kind of citrus smell oranges and nectarines it left me smelling really nice and clean.
A little bit of this product really does go a long way so the bottle has not even finished yet and ive had it a couple of weeks. The lather is really thick as well with lots of bubbles and leaves your skin feeling lovely and soft to the touch.
I think that this is the best of the dove products that I have tried the others I have always thought are quite boring but this really does have a feel good factor about it when you have used it.
I am definitely going to buy more of this when it runs out because I like it so much I don't think I will ever get bored of the smell and it makes you feel fresh and ready for the day.
The product is easy to get as it's in supermarkets and chemists so you will never struggle to get hold of some it's also not badly priced I paid about £2 for this bottle.
This Dove body wash is something I have used in the past and liked, and when I spotted it on offer at Tesco last week I remembered how much I liked it and picked up a couple of bottles. I must confess that I tend to buy whichever shower gel/body wash is on offer at a decent price.
This Dove "Go Fresh Body Wash Burst" comes in a white plastic bottle that has a curved shape. There is a picture of a nectarine and splash marks on the front. The lid is orange in colour and flips open/shut. The bottles a nice shape, it is easy to pick up in the shower even with wet hands. The plastic is flexible enough to be easily squeezed to allow the product to come out.
The body wash itself is a creamy, pearlescent orange colour. It has a gorgeous fruity nectarine scent. This body wash is meant to be nectarine and white ginger scent although I find I can smell the nectarine but not really the ginger. The body wash is quite thick and only a small amount is required to produce a substantial lather, especially if you use it with a shower puff which I usually do. The body wash is easily rinsed off and after drying, my skin feels lovely and clean, smooth and soft. I find that the scent of this body wash lingers on my skin all day which I quite like.
I have sensitive skin that it easily irritated, and although this body wash is not specifically for sensitive skin, I find that like most Dove products it is kind on my skin and does not cause any problems. This leaves my skin feeling quite moisturised, unlike other body wash products which have left my skin feeling dry and tight. I would therefore recommend this to anyone who suffers from sensitive skin like myself.
At full price, a 250ml bottle of this body wash costs £3.99. I feel this is very expensive and certainly would not pay full price for it when you consider that you can get other body washes for as little as £1 for a similar sized bottle. I am happy to pay around £2 for this body wash which is the price it is currently on offer at, as it is a good quality product.
I give this a rating of 4*, taking 1 off simply due to the high full price. I would recommend it when it is on offer. Thanks for reading/rating and I hope you found my review useful.
I have always been a fan of Dove and have always loved their products. All the products vary and there is everything to suit everyone. The Dove range is very reasonable for everyday items as they really work! I brought this product and it cost me around £2 for 250ml.
The Dove Go Fresh Burst Body Washis very good quality as what you would expect from such a brand. The bottle is white with a white lid with an orange stripe down the front, with Doves blue logo. The liquid itself is orange and is fairly thick so you don't need a large amount when using.
The smell itself is refreshing, without being too overpowering and does not clash with other products like some do. This product lathers well and it leaves skin refreshed and clean. It has quite a energising scent to it however it can be a bit too sweet if you use too much. I have quite dry skin and have found after using this product the skin is left feeling hydrated and silky as well as no residue left.
I usually wait for this product to go on offer before purchasing it, but have always used Dove body care range. the Dove Go Fresh Burst Body Wash range is great and reasonably priced.
I bought the Dove go fresh burst body wash in Tesco for about £2, which I feel is good value for 250ml.
I do tend to like most Dove products and so when I discovered a new item in the range, I thought I would give it a go.
The bottle is a off white plastic quite thin and easy to grip hold off, even with wet hands and simple to squeeze. The lid is a off white same as the bottle but has a striking bright orange stripe, don't be fooled into thinking it will be flimsy, it snaps shut very well and contains the liquid wash inside superbly.
The information on the bottle is fairly simple. The Dove writing is in is usual deep blue along with the ¼ moisturising cream stamp that I believe they insert in all products. The rest of the writing on the front matches the bright orange of the lid, which co-insides with the fragrance of nectarine and white ginger.
Below the Dove wording is also there dove logo in silver which they have integrated into the "go" of the go fresh letters. Pictures note a nectarine and a sprig of white ginger. What I like about the picture is the splash drops they have placed around the nectarine they stand out a lot and make the picture seem much more real.
On the back the information is again in blue and gives ingredient details, manufacture details for both Dove and Unilever, the umbrella company, giving details of UK and Irish address and phone numbers, or which the UK ones are free.
The actual descriptive words they keep fairly simple, quoting about the moisture and tantalising fragrance and a statement "refreshment that cares for your skin".
The smell as soon as you open the bottle is exhilarating. Very fresh , sweet smelling of the nectarine and strong. I love the smell especially in the morning, it really gives you a get up and go feeling and brightens the start to a day. Having said that if you overdose on the smell but continually sniffing it, it can get quite sickly. This is a was I tend to use in the mornings or after a workout, but not before bed as it wakes me up to much!
The liquid itself is orange in colour with a slightly pearlescent look and is fairly thick, but it comes out with a simple squeeze.
When using I do find a little goes a long way, two squirts is usually enough to be honest. It lathers up very well which also lasts a long time. You can feel the slight extra moisturiser in the wash but I still feel the need to moisturise afterwards.
It is a great fresh smelling gel wash which I would recommend and will defiantly buy again.
I absolutely love this range of dove body care products. The Dove Go Fresh Burst Beauty Body Wash really does make my skin feel completely hydrated. I have really dry skin which does tend to get worse in these harsh winter months and I tried lots of different brands of body wash. But in my opinion dove has come out on top all the time. Using Dove go fresh burst beauty body wash regularly leaves my skin feeling really hydrated extremely soft and smooth with a beautiful fresh fruity fragrance. It also fully compliments the range of Dove products that I purchase. With the dove brand I know that I am getting quality products at affordable price ranges and they are widely available in shops today. So in my opinion for smooth, beautifully hydrated skin with a lovely subtle fruity fragrance I would highly recommend Dove Go Fresh Burst Beauty body wash. I was very pleased with the results from this product and will continue to use this range. The body wash really does give your skin that pampered feeling and it is a feeling that lasts. I am a complete fan of this range and the results really do speak for themselves. Thats why I have given it a five star rating.
I have always been a fan of dove, I have also tried other brands but I always seem to come back to dove. As whenever I purchase dove, I know it will be a good quality.
The bottle of this shower gel is white, with the dove logo on the front, with a picture of a nectarine, as it is a nectarine based gel. The bottle looks nice and simply. There is no handle on the bottle so I just sit it on the floor.
As well as this being a shower gel, it is also a moisturiser, which leaves my skin soft and hydrated and the smell is really nice and fruity. You will only need to use a small amount of the gel as it does foam up quickly. As well as the shower gel smelling lovely, the smell will also last for a while after.
This shower gel, usually costs around £2, which I think it is worth, but it is also available on special offer in supermarkets.
Overall I would recommend this shower gel, it smells great and is also caring on skin.
I purchased lots of different Dove Body Washes recently when Boots had a promotion on with all Dove items for just £1 and I picked up this 250ml bottle in the offer.
The packaging is your standard Dove packaging which stands upright on the side of the bath easily and has a flip top lid on the top making it easy to dispense the body wash. The dispenser hole means that a small amount of body wash is dispensed at a time so you don't get a huge rush and end up wasting lots down the plughole.
The body wash itself is a clear liquid with lots of small bits within and I can smell the clean, fresh fragrance as soon as I pour some of the liquid on to my bath lilly. I find that this foams up very quickly and there is a large amount of foam produced which is always pleasing as I just love to cover myself in thick, rich suds when having my morning shower. The body wash contains lemongrass fragrance and grapefruit and I can notice the 'fine beads' within the body wash if I rub it directly on to my skin but they are not harsh or abrasive in any way.
The smell of this is absolutely delicious, it's clean, fresh and definitely helps to get me off to a good start for the day. The smell is one that is very uplifting and it makes me feel clean and fresh for the rest of the day. I love the luxurious feel of using this product and I feel that the price I paid has been absolutely fantastic value for money, I'd even be willing to spend a little more for the luxurious shower time. The smell is quite citrus based and brings a delightful scent to my bathroom every morning. I don't find that the scent stays on me for the whole day but I certainly still feel clean and fresh after a long day at work.
I suffer from sensitive skin and I have been very pleased with the results of using this product, like most Dove ones, and it has not given me any adverse reactions whatsoever.
I will definitely be buying this body wash again, particularly if I can find another reasonable special offer, and I am hoping to make a few Christmas hampers this year with some of the bargains that I got.
I have huge faith in the Dove brand. In the past I have used many of the different products and have always been really impressed with the results they have achieved. I have yet to be disappointed by anything, from shampoo to deodorant. It is a very well priced and affordable brand and I always feel safe in the knowledge that if I buy one of their product I will get good quality.
Recently I spotted this Dove Go Fresh Burst Body Wash on special offer in my local branch of Tesco's costing a very reasonable £1 for a 250ml bottle. I believe the standard price in £2. I usually go for fruity shower gels as they tend to wake me up a bit in the morning however they don't tend to be terribly moisterising. When I spotted this was I was eager to give it a go. The Dove products really suit my skin and leave them feeling soft and hydrated so this fruity version of their body wash sounded right up my street.
I tried the body wash the very next morning and was mighty pleased with the results. The wash was incredibly creamy as you would expect from Dove but it also had a fabulous fruity aroma. The combination of the nectarine and ginger worked really well and I really loved the smell. To be honest I don't think anyone could object to the smell of this product, it is sweet but not overpowering and it has just enough zing to make it invigorating.
The wash lathered up really nicely and felt fantastic on my skin. The whole shower was a really enjoayble experience. After towel drying, my skin can sometimes feel a little dry and tight however this wash seemed to prevent this feeling. I was really impressed with this lovely product and I think it is fantastic quality for a great price. Big thumbs up from me!
I decided yesterday to do my shopping online and as it was my first order if I spent over £50 I got £10 off, my shopping came to around £48 so I had another browse through and decided to add some shower gels.
I chose the Dove go fresh and another in the Dove range (that I have yet to try) for £1 each.
I had once received a mini sample bottle of this which I loved so thought it would definatly be worth getting this one again.
Unlike the mini bottle and the picture above ^^^ I didn't get an orangey coloured bottle, this one came in a white pearly coloured bottle with only the flip top part of the lid being orangey. It is the same product however.
Burst is the fragrance of this which is nectarine and white ginger. I think the best way for me to try and describe this would be, Orange sherbet! It's very sweet smelling, not sickly sweet just nice and it's a very summery scent. I have to be honest and say that the white ginger doesn't really come through at all! But that doesn't make it a bad product, it's delish!!
I like Dove products they don't dry my skin out and leave me smelling clean and fresh, this lathers up well when I used it with my shower puff and my partner said it lathers up well without a puff too (he says puffs are for girls!!!).
I love the way it leaves my skin feeling silky soft and smell gorgeous too.
Always one you can trust: Dove.
I just really liked the name the first time I saw this product: Dove Shower Go Fresh Burst. I couldn't imagine the scent it would have and what it would do to me in the morning, so I had to try it out. I like the bottle, it was a peach colour and the shape looks good too. You get all the necessary information like it's ¼ hydrating crème.
Using this shower gel is very easy and from the first moment you open it you will notice the nice smell. It's a really soft sweet scent probably because of the nectarine that in it. You only get a small about out of the bottle but more than to wash yourself. The shower gel or more crème is quiet thick and easily to spread all over your body. It got a orange kind of colour but easily to wash of in the end.
Because how this shower gel smells is very important and luckily it smell quiet nice. You notice it form the beginning. It was a quiet sweet soft fruity smell. Apparently theirs is also white ginger next to the nectarine, because I can't really tell. It's a really pleasant smell though.
I got an sensitive dry skin normally so I really appreciate the hydrating crème in this product. It really makes my skin less dry and softer, which is really much better when you are lying in bed. No more itching that much either.
The Dove Go Fresh Burst is a really good shower gel that sweet but also fruity. It's easy to spread and to wash of again and it leaves my skin nice and soft. No more dry skin so it works for me.
Dove have launched a new 'Go Fresh' range, this one is called 'Burst' which is fragranced with nectarine and white ginger.
I use this one in the shower, its very highly scented so I wouldn't recommend for the bath. The scent is very fruity albeit it a bit synthetic. Because the product is quite thick, I think it would sink to the bottle of a bath rather than lathering up easily.
Only a small amount is needed for a thick lather which impressed me, I can see the bottle lasting quite a while!
I have pretty dry skin so I tend to be wary of highly scented products which can sometimes be that way in order to disguise harsh compounds in the product which can make my skin worse. I'm glad to say I did not note any drying of my skin. It didn't feel super moisturised but I did feel good and clean, thats why we have moisturiser for afterwards right?
I received a free sample bottle of this product from Dove and have since purchased a full size bottle from a high street chemist.
Fairly standard orange plastic bottle with flip top lid - not my favoured packaging for travelling (which is a shame because the product has a really tropical/warm scent, but theres too much popping open potential!) but its fine for the shower at home. The standard bottle is 250ml.
Dove products are often on buy 1 get 1 free and the standard retail price of this product is approximately £2.50 for a decent sized bottle I think this is a reasonable price.
I recently embarked on a little tour of Europe to see one of my favourite musical artists, with lots of my like minded friends. Within this tour I would be flying to lots of locations, with just cabin baggage and therefore I couldn't take any liquids over 100ml with me. Whilst in Superdrug trying to stock up on all the essentials I needed, I came across a 4 for £3 offer on all mini travel essentials, and this is where I picked up Dove's go Fresh body wash (55ml).
It wasn't till I was away in Ireland that I first got to try this. At first I found the lid slightly annoying, as it has a ball type mechanism under the lid which is rigid plastic, meaning it can be difficult to take the cap off to put it back on (not ideal when your in a shower).
Onto the showergel itself. Well, it states on the front that it is a burst of "nectarine & white ginger" which essentially comes across as oranges and peaches in my opinion. The smell is quite nice and refreshing, especially when you have been travelling. It also reminded me of Solero ice creams! My only criticism of this luscious scent, is that it unfortunately doesn't last on your skin for very long like other showergels might.
As I have fairly sensitive skin, I found this product safe to use as it didn't cause any irritations on my skin. It says on the bottle that it contains 1/4 moisturiser cream, so I'm assuming that this is also quite beneficial to skin although I can't say I noticed any difference.
So overall, would I recommend it to travellers and your average shopper alike? Well yes I would. Although it's not my favourite showergel I have ever used, it is certainly refreshing and it's nice to know the scents are from fruit extracts rather than being synthetic. A 250ml bottle will cost you somewhere in the region of £2, so it's not too damaging on the pocket however there are cheaper brands out there.
A refreshing smelling purchase that was a comfort when I was away from home, but perhaps not something I will buy again.
I can't say what it was that made me pick up this particular shower gel from the shelf as I did my toiletries shopping earlier this year. Perhaps it was the smooth shape of the bottle or the delightful scent written on the front, Nectarine And White Ginger. Never one to pass up on a tangy citrus scent, I naturally bought it.
When I went to use it, the first thing I noticed was definitely the scent. Even as I just squeezed some into the palm of hand, the smell hit me. It drifted up from it. The smell can only be described as bright and sharp, yet sweet at the same time. The edge of the nectarine is softened by the hints of white ginger. The consistency was nice and creamy, not too thick and not too runny. It felt refreshing on the skin. Afterwards, my skin felt smooth and clean. One of the best qualities of this body wash is definitely the long lasting nature of the smell and the soft feeling it leaves on your skin.
I definitely recommend this body wash to anyone, especially those who like something to wake them up during their morning shower.
I got this bottle as a sample however I have used it all up and has lasted me a good few applications so I feel this review is desereved despite the product being a sample/travel size.
*** What is it
Basically this is a body wash which is packaged great and the bottle stands out from the traditional other Dove products as this packaging is bright yellow. It is called "Beauty care body wash, go fresh" .... "Burst - Necterine & white ginger fragrance".
*** Whats it like to use?
The product is great to use and I was pleasently surprised. After recently been using the 'Original Source' shower gel I was dissapointed in how it didn't lather so well and had to apply a second squeeze of product out. This Dove 'go burst' shower body wash is great. I put a dollop of this onto my scourere and, rubbed it a little and it began to foam well; as soon as I rubbed this onto my skin the lather was great, not to mention the smell.
I was welcomed by such a refreshing clean distintive smell of oranges (just peeled), seeing as the product proclaims it to contain necterines, this is what I must be smelling as oranges. Getting to the point though however, whatever fruit is in this product it smells amazing. Another good factor which was that I didn't have to squeeze any more product out, the one dollup once lathered on my skin did everywere in one go.
*** The brand
Dove is a well known ladies body care brand. It's something that I'm sure most peoples mums have used, and at some point or another most people have had their soap bar with their embossed dove bird logo on the soap. Dove is renowed for its pure white simple, yet clean packaging and their very distinstive smell. Some people love the smell, and despite it smelling extreamly clean and fresh, to me it smells 'too soapy' and so have never been one for buying Dove products. You can buy Dove products from all over, supermarkets, Boots, Superdrug, most places tend to stock this. They sell gift sets at christmas, shampoo, conditioner, soap bars as stated, body wash, bubble bath and moisturisers. They also tend to have various lines of products on the go such as their 'pro-age' and 'silk' ranges as two examples. Most of their products tend to range from £1 - £1.99
*** Would I repurchase?
Deffinatly, each time I have used this I have said to myself I will have to buy this again. I tend to stay away from Dove based products as mentioned their scent is 'too soapy' for me, however this product smells so different in a good way. For some reason I keep going to call this product "morning burst" I think this is because this would be ideal to use on a morning to really freshen you up and make you awake as the scent is so lovely. I use this on a evening though and even then it's a really pleasent smell to fill your bathroom up with, which your welcomed with as soon as you open the bottle.
Hope this helps
