Dove Go Fresh Revive Body Wash
Advantages: Scent, Cleans
Disadvantages: None for me!
I quite like Dove products but have yet to use any of their bodywashes. When I spotted the Pomegrante and Lemon Verbena Go Fresh Bodywash, I thought that it looked nice and didn't even bother to have a sniff, just picked it up and straight in my basket as it was on offer for 99p in Boots and I also had a voucher for a third off any body wash, so it only cost me 66p!
The body wash comes in quite feminine packaging, it is a white plastic bottle with a white and pink flip topo lid, which can be a little bit tricky to use in the shower. On the front, there is an attractive image of a pomegranate and some lemon verbena leaves (to be honest, I still don't know what lemon verbena is meant to be but it smells pretty good!). I still find that although the bottle is transparent, you can still see through and get a general idea of how much body wash you have left within the bottle.
I promised myself that I wouldn't open this one until I had finished all my other shower gels but temptation took over. I have tried using the body wash with my hands and on a shower puff. I like the consistency, it isn't runny and goes straight down the plughole but neither is it too thick. The first time, I used the bodywash, it didn't seem to lather up very well, so I tried it with my body puff but got the same result. Having said that, my first impression of the body wash was that it had a quite thick and silky texture coming out the bottle, which I was surprised at and it felt luxiourious on my skin. The body wash is pink in colour and suprisingly although I didn't see it lathering up, a little when along way and I didn't have soap suds all over the place. It washed off well, I've noticed an improvement in my skin as it is quite moisturising, my skin felt soft and looked clean. I still found that I had to apply moisturiser afterwards but the body wash doesn't promise these qualities, so I see this as somewhat a bit of a bonus and I would moisturise anyway afterwards.
I have to say genuinely that I love the scent, as soon as you open the bottle, you are hit by this wonderfully fresh fragrance. It's quite fruity but also has a tangy citrus note to it, which is what you would expect with the flavour, it really wakes you up in the morning. It is a strong scent but not overwhelming and smells natural. I found the scent lingered on my skin slightly, it isn't as strong as when you're in the shower but it is quite nice that you get the slight lingering, especially if you forget to put your perfume on.
The body wash is available from most supermarkets, and pharmacists. I think it normally retails for about £2 but obviously I bought it on offer, I'm going to stock up while it's still 99p. I'm sure if you shop around you will find it on offer and honestly, I would buy it at full price.
I do recommend this and will defintely be buying again. It has a lovely fragrance and works well, so a thumbs up from me.
Summary: A lovely awakening body wash from a good company
