      Advantages

      Disadvantages

      Not for me.

I received a Dove set for Christmas which contained 2 body washes and a shower puff. One of the body washes was Dove 'Go Fresh' Pomegranate Lemon Body Wash. I'm not a big fan of Dove body products (I don't mind the hand soap) as I don't particularly enjoy washing my body with soap. I believe soap should only be used as hand wash and nothing more! I gave the body washes a try nonetheless...

The body wash comes in quite a large sized (250ml) white plastic bottle with a flip lid (making it easy to dispense). It's nicely decorated and has a picture of a pomegranate on the front. The body wash is described on the back of the bottle as 'Revitalising refreshment that effectively nourishes skin. A gentle awakening for your mind and skin. The lively, quenching scent of pomegranate and lemon. Enriched with our breakthrough NutriumMoisture, to nourish while you shower for longer lasting more beautiful skin'.

The body wash itself is a light pink colour and has quite a thin, smooth consistency. It's very strong smelling and the scent can be picked up as soon as you open the lid.

I wouldn't say the body wash smells of pomegranate but it does smell quite fruity. There is absolutely no hint of lemon though which is disappointing as I love lemon. The strong smell of Dove soap is really evident and I really don't like it! I find the combination of fruit and soap very nauseating (literally). The body wash has quite a nice texture. It's creamy and smooth on the skin and it lathers up really nicely (especially when used with a shower puff). The body wash feels very nice and nourishing until you wash it off, then I find it leaves my skin feeling sticky (like a lot of soapy products tend to do). I find that the product transfers well to my skin and the scent stays on my skin for at least a few hours after using the body wash. This would normally be a very good quality but as I don't really like the scent, it's not!

Dove 'Go Fresh' Pomegranate Lemon Body Wash can be found in most supermarkets and costs around £2.00.

This isn't the worst body wash in the world but it's not something I would buy/use again and isn't something that I could honestly recommend to others.

        Disadvantages

Great stuff from Dove once again!

When it comes to bath and body products I know that as a rule I love Dove ones. I like the usual fabulous quality that they have to them and find them usually very kind and gentle to my skin which is why when I spotted this body wash in a fragrance I hadn't tried before I bought it in my local Poundland store...yes costing a pound a bottle!

        The Packaging:

This comes in a white with bright pink colouring on it plastic bottle with a flip-top lid concealing a small hole to the top of it then on the front of it we are told that it is Dove 'Go Fresh' Nourishing Body Wash 'Revive' Pomegranate & Lemon Verbena Sent 'Nutrium Moisture' and there is a small silver picture of a Dove on there and a picture of a cut open pomegranate and some lemon leaves. On the back of the bottle other information listed includes being told a bit about the product, the ingredients and the size are stated (this is a 250ml bottle by the way), we are told that once opened to use the product up within 12 months and contact details for Unilever (the manufacturer of the product) are given. This is a nice looking bottle of product and does look rather feminine with its flashes of fuchsia pink colouring on it.

        The Body Wash Itself:

Well this can of course being called a body wash be used in the bath or in the shower and it is a light pink and creamy looking product that isn't too runny but not a stiff cream or anything like that but it is a nice consistency.

The body wash to me oddly enough doesn't really smell of pomegranate or lemon verbena though. It does have a hint of a fruity tone to it but to me it smells gently floral, whatever the fragrance is its nice, sweet and rather natural and quite a strong smell and I really do like it!

A little of this goes a long way though it doesn't lather up very well. Don't get me wrong it does slightly but really this is like a lotion and is really skin softening as it goes and like I say even though it doesn't lather up brilliantly I don't mind that as I don't actually think its meant to anyway! The scent is wonderful in use and really luxurious, its comfortable to use and I can even shave my bits and pieces comfortably with this.

This leaves me smelling really nice and for a good few hours too and I feel clean, look clean and my skin really feels gently moisturised until my next bath or shower. I really do like this one and the scent is really unusual, relaxing and unique and like all the other Dove body products I really do like this one. I was worried it may agitate my sensitive and rash prone skin as its so highly fragranced but it simply doesn't so it get a big thumbs up from me!

Available in all good chemists and supermarkets and for a 250ml size of this expect to pay closer to the £2.00 mark for this one (unless you find it in a discount store like I did and if you do....stock up!).
