Generally I use shower gel but if I'm in the bath I use a bar of soap. I like quite fancy soaps and strong fruity smelling ones but as my partner prefers plainer ones we always have a bar of Dove soap on the go.

I must admit, even though I like lots of soaps I do really like this Dove bar even though it is what I would call a very standard bar of soap. I normally purchase a bulk pack with 4 bars in it which costs £2.25 from Tescos. They are also available in twin packs or individually but you get better value in buying 4 of them together. Most supermarkets sell Dove soaps, even smaller Express ones.

The bar weighs 100g and is a very typical sized bar of soap. The actual soaps are packaged in cardboard boxes to protect them but they are opened very easily. The cardboard box is blue and white which fits in with the 'Dove' range. The soap is a bright white colour and imprinted on the front of the bar is the Dove logo. It is curved in its shape so that it fits your hand better when using it and there are no sharp corners on it, everything is very rounded and smooth. It lathers up really easily when you've got water on it and it feels extremely creamy on your skin. There is a pleasant aroma when using it but not a very strong one.

I do think it makes your skin soft when you've dried yourself but I wouldn't be able to comment on the long lasting effect of this as I always put moisturiser on afterwards as well. My skin smells nice after I've dried myself though which is good.

I do think this would be very suitable for people with sensitive skin as there's no gimmicks with this soap at all. It is just a plain, white, creamy soap which is lovely to use.

I would definitely recommend.
