      Very helpful

      I love this one!

Well here I am as usual working my way through all the lovely shower gels, soaps and bubble baths that I received for Christmas last year. Most of them this time around were Radox or Boots brand but I did also receive a Dove one that I hadn't tried before.

The shower gel in question is called Dove Supreme Cream Oil Body Wash Sleek Satin and, having taken a look online, I can find it for sale in a few places at around £4 to £5. So you can see that this one is a bit more towards the luxury end of the market given that you can get very good shower gels for £1 each or sometimes even less.

I was looking forward to trying this one as I have used most of the Dove body washes over the years and have yet to find one that I don't like.

This one comes in a pale blue container with the word Dove in dark blue and the gold logo beneath it. Below that are the words 'Supreme Cream Oil Body Wash' and farther down 'sleek satin with smoothing oil'. There is no mention what fragrance you might expect from this wash.

I must say at this stage that, as with all the Dove products, this looks really smart and would grace any bathroom.

The 200ml container stands with the opening at the bottom which is always a bonus as far as I am concerned as it means that the contents will always drain towards the opening. Of course this means that I have more chance of actually being able to use the product without leaving any waste in the container.

The promise for this body wash is that it is 'exceptionally moisturising, sensational lathering and utterly indulgent' so the next thing was to try and see if it lived up to my expectations.

I jumped into a nice warm shower and flipped open the lid squeezing some body wash onto the palm of my hand. It was thick and very creamy - 'a whipped blend of rich cream and pure smoothing oil' - it felt very luxurious. The fragrance is difficult to describe so I will just say that it is gorgeous! It is a sweet, possibly flowery, smell but not sickly at all and it filled the bathroom surrounding me with the lovely scent.

With the addition of water the body wash became a mass of thick lather which felt soft and creamy on my skin. It felt almost like body cream at times it was so thick. When it came to rinsing the body wash rinsed away well with no problems.

After drying my skin felt clean, soft and moisturised - I have been very impressed with this one. The fragrance remained in the air and on my skin for a while after I had finished my shower which was nice too.

Another advantage as far as I am concerned is the fact that, being made of plastic, the container goes into your plastic recycling bag once it is empty.

I can definitely see why this is marketed as a 'supreme' body wash. It is luxurious to use and makes my skin feel really nice and pampered. I must remember to drop hints for more of this next Christmas!
