“ Brand: Fcuk / Type: Body Wash / Suitable for: Body / Skin type: for dry skin and for all types „
I absolutely love Fcuk products. I have done for ages and I'm sure it's cos of the name of them lol.
I regularly purchase products from the range (stocked in my local Boots) and when I saw this unisex body wash offering priced at £4.99 (for a large size) I couldn't resist grabbing a couple of bottles of it and stocking it once I sniffed it!
200ml clear plastic oblong bottle with a small black push button dispenser to the top of it. On the front and written on length-ways I'm told it's Eau De Fcuk 'Bathroom' Body Wash and as Ive told you already the weight is stated. On the back of the bottle I'm told a bit about the product, directions on how to use it are listed, ingredients are stated, contact details for French Connection UK are given, the recycle symbol is shown and finally the weight is stated once again and there is a paper bar-code on the bottom of the bottle easy to peel off (important to me that is as I hate unsightly messes!). Very simple bottle this is and looks as unisex as it is meant to be!
A Bit About The Product According To The Bottle....
A warm, citrus herbal scent of lime, cinnamon, cedar wood and patchouli. For men and women.
Directions For Use....
Massage into a cleansing lather with water and rinse away thoroughly.
Me Using It....
First problem I experienced with this product is the flipping pump action dispenser! You gently push the button and a little of the very light golden colour, thin gel comes squirting out. Fine I thought but not enough for my shower so I went to splodge out some more but couldn't! I had to wait for the button to pop back up and it seemed to take ages whilst I stood there like a damp squid! I dislike that and I think it's so annoying it deserves a mention. It feels like a design fault to me anyway!
So the gel comes out as I say quite runny and clear and I apply it on my favoured scrunchy on my damp/wet body. It is highly fragranced and to me smells quite masculine due to the heavy abundance of cedar wood making it smell quite aftershavy however the patchouli does give an added sweetness to that and uplifts it. It has citrus undertones and basically it's just a very fresh, but warm fragrance and quite spicy will all the ingredients well blended.
It doesn't lather up as well as I expected but did only a little bit but was smooth on the skin and I didn't need much to feel clean although as I have said there was a distinct lack of bubbles missing I would have appreciated. I was able to shave my bits and bobs as I stood in the shower and it did rinse off incredibly easily to be fair to it leaving no feeling or appearance of residue on my skin
I was left feeling clean enough and my skin was left delicately and warmly fragranced though the smell did evaporate after an hour or so though I still felt clean enough. This body wash is suitable to use in the shower, bath or to use as a hand wash so it is multi-tasking and of course anyone can use it if desired.
There is nothing special about this and to me it's an every-day sort of product more than a touch of class or luxury but don't get me wrong it's nice enough it just isn't 'me' and I don't think it does much for me skin benefit wise though it doesn't give me any issues either.
I purchased mine in Boots at £4.99 a bottle but do shop about for this particularly online for bargains and other products from the 'bathroom' range are available as well.
