“ Brand: Enchanted / Type: Body Scrub / What it does: Exfoliates, „
I am your typical problem child; dry and sensitive skin with the odd oily patch and just generally poor condition. I love my skin to feel soft and smooth and smell gorgeous too so I am always interested in products which are exfoliating and moisturising with great scents too.
http://www.enchantedbath.co.uk/ do foaming sugar scrubs in the most amazing scents.
My favourite scrub's from them are Strawberry Buttercream and their new halloween scent Vanilla Thriller.
Strawberry Buttercream smells like strawberry ice-cream to me and makes me tempted to dunk my fingers in and have a taste (don't do this though!). You only need a small scoop and I find if I dunk it in a little water to wet it then smooth it on wet skin it works best. The sugar is really fine and soft so it isn't too harsh on your skin which is fantastic for me as it doesn't aggrevate my skin. When wet the scrub lathers up just enough to give your skin that fresh, clean and scrubbed feeling. I'm not really sure how sugar scrubs are made but this seems to contain just enough mousturising oils to leave my skin feeling softened after use where as some scrubs I have used before left my skin feeling dried out, that's really not the case with these.
The scent really lasts on my skin which is great as all too often I use bath products with sub-standard scents that don't last or smell artificial. The scent of the strawberry scrub smelt like real strawberries and buttercream - like Campino sweets.
The scrubs may seem expensive but a little goes a long way and it's worth it for that luscious feeling it leaves on your skin.
Ok so if you've been following my reviews, im a bit of an Enchanted freak since I was introduced to it late last year. The one and only product I could not live without is Enchanted's foaming sugar scrub. It does exactly what it says on the pot! When visiting my shopping basket at www.enchantedbath.co.uk you will always find at least three
waiting to be bought!
I used to use Lush's scrubs but found them so abbrasive and in some cases really sharp, so I bought a try me sugar scrub set from Enchanted in various scents ( I think I picked Havbath, Summer Stars and SubLime)
A bit curious as to wether they'd also be abbrasive like Lush I took my Enchanted Havabath sugar scrub in the tub with me, honestly not expecting anything amazing to happen. How wrong could I be?
The scent was a true dupe of Lush's Avobath, very zangy indeed. First impressions of the scrub itself was how fine the sugar was. I scooped a little into my hand and started working it into my upper arms. I always tend to get little pimples on my upper arms and thats the place that needs the most work for deep cleaning and scrubby goodness. The texture was smooth of the scrub, and once it was on my wet skin, it started to lather up beautifully. It was scrubby, without the sharpness - exactly what I'd been after for many years!
Also another Enchanted product that left my skin completely clean, soft, hydrated and nourished. I've also noticed that the dimples I get on my upper arms have almost completely dissappeared! I only tend to get the odd one or two now, where as before I had bunches of them at any one time.
Enchanted is a great name for this company- I have no idea if Sarah has magic powers or not, but my suspicions tell me she has! I find my partner has been using them (sneekily) too to rid the dirt, paint and dust off his skin (he's a carpenter and gets very messy). I've just put in another order for the more masculine scents for him so he stops taking mine!
In my opinion - if your worried about sugar scrubs scratching you or irritating your skin - then you need this product. It's completely dreamy, works wonders, doesn't dry out your skin. A staple in my Enchanted collection!

I get through body scrub at an alarming rate- a typical 200ml tube from Boots usually lasts me 2 weeks. I have dry skin that needs exfoliating regularly, and I am probably a bit over-generous with the scrub to make sure I feel really clean afterwards. I usually buy whatever brand is on offer- it only lasts me two weeks so it's not worth me paying a fortune for it.
A couple of my friends are Enchanted scrub addicts- I swear they must spend more on their scrub addictions than on their weekly grocery shop! Enchanted scrubs are expensive- 200g of scrub is currently priced at £7.50, or you can get a jumbo pot of 450g for £14. My friends convinced me that this stuff would last a lot longer than my normal scrubs because they are a different consistency, and that the quality was so high and the scent list so amazing that I finally gave in and placed a small order!
The packaging of the scrubs is simple yet classy. They come in clear pots rather than tubes, with black lids, and the product information is printed on a gold circle stuck to the lid. The texture of the scrub is indeed different to typical scrubs I've used in the past (Natural collection, Soap & Glory, L'oreal, Boots extracts etc). I am used to scrubs being quite runny, however these are much more dense. You need to scoop a piece out of the pot, which I find better as I can take exactly the amount I require. I found with other brands in tubes I would sometimes squeeze out a little more than I really needed.
I simply rub the piece of scrub onto wet skin, and it instantly creates a soft barrier over my skin as it injects some much needed moitsure into it. I love the fact that this scrub creates a lather- it feels creamy and rich on my skin, and because I can see and feel it working, I need much less scrub. A 200g pot has lasted me over 2 months, so I feel it is actually good value for money- it works out about the same price as the previous brands I was using, but my skin is much softer and happier with Enchanted.
It is slightly abrahsive, and I can feel it working, yet it is still very gentle, so it gives my skin a much needed exfoliation without being too harsh. The previous scrubs I have used have never been moisturising, but these contain natural oils which work their magic on my dry skin to leave it feeling super soft. I was very impressed with how moisturising they are, and they feel so luxurious on my skin that they are a real treat to use- I now understand why my friends are addicted!
The Enchanted scent list is just amazing, there is such an extensive variety of different types of scents that there really is something that will appeal to everyone. The scent list on the Enchanted website is split into categories- Feeling Fruity, Something Sweet, Fresh from the Bakery, Florals and Naturals, Smells Like, and Other. In addition, there are special limited edition scents brought out every few months, and new standard scents are released every month, so there is always something new and exciting I need to try! My favourite is SubLIME- I love the fruity, caramelly goodness, and I really can't get enough of this fragrance! Baby Love is another scrub I have tried, which is a beautiful pure scent of baby powder and snuggles, and, Tangerine Dream is a gorgeous sweet orangey kick.
As well as having a huge variety of unique scent blends, Enchanted also do some Lush dupes. I have just tried Havabath scrub, which is a dupe of Lush's Avobath ballistic. The Havabath scent is extremely accurate, and is packed with a beautiful lime kick. This is a great way for Lush fans to be able to use a variety of other products in their favourite Lush scents- Enchanted make Whipped body Wash (see my review!), perfumes, bath salts, body sprays and soaps, so you can layer the scents as you wish.
The scrubs are decorated with glitter, jojoba beads, sprinkles etc, but if you would rather have them left plain then you can simply specify this in the notes section when you order. I love glitter and think this adds a lovely finishing touch to the product- it makes your products seem even more special.
The scent of the scrub lingers on my skin beautifully, particularly if I use the Whipped Body Wash in the same scent. You can also create some lovely scents by cocktailing different combinations of Foaming Sugar Scrub and Whipped Body Wash.
Sarah, who owns and runs Enchanted, has been very helpful in recommending me products that will work well for me, and she added extra jojoba to my last lot of scrubs to make them extra moisturising for my dry skin. She is always very happy to answer questions, and I felt she offered a fantastic personable service, tailoring the products to meet the needs of my difficult skin.
The products are all handmade to order by Sarah, and the current Turn Around Time (TAT) is noted on the website. This is typically 2-3 weeks, but it is definitely worth the wait.
The scrubs are very different to bog-standard scrubs from Boots. They are much longer lasting and so moisturising that they are a real treat to use. My skin is silky soft and looks and feels fabulous- something I never thought I would hear myself say as I've always had horrible dry, flaky legs.
I love these scrubs and will not be going back to my usual buy-one-get-one-free ones from Boots! My skin loves Enchanted, it has never looked more moisturised or felt so beautifully soft. There are so many divine scents that make using Enchanted a real luxurious treat. My latest order has only just arrived and I'm in love with all of my goodies (and already planning which products to get in my next order!) They represent good value for money in my opinion as they are so long-lasting, and I really recommend them.
