“ Brand: Essential Extracts / foam / Type: Bath Cream / Subcategory: Bath Cream / Skin type: for dry skin and for all types „
I am always on the look out for bargain toiletries and having tried a few products from Marks and Spencer, I thought I would give this bubble bath a whirl!
- Price and Packaging -
Very simple packaging - a plastic transparent bottle with a screw top lid. In M&S terms, this retails at quite a reasonable £1 for 500ml.
The transparency of the bottle is good as you can see how much is left and when new stocks are needed, however the hole at the top is rather large and if you aren't careful too much can come out of the bottle each time you pour!
- What is it? -
The label on the back of the bottle states that:
* It will help cleanse your skin as you bathe.
* Helps leave your skin soft and smooth.
- My Experience -
* Appearance & Smell
This is a light peach colour with quite a thick consistency to it. The smell is adequate but not a strong aroma of almond, a smell of which I am very partial to.
* Bubble factor
Given the slightly thick consistency of the liquid, I was expecting oodles of bubbles. Sadly this is not really the case. On the first few occasions of using it I simply poured it under the warm running water and left it, hoping that the bubbles would appear without any help. However I've found that in order to get an adequate amount of bubbles in the bath, I have to swish my hand around quite vigorously after pouring it into the water and even then they don't seem to last very long.
- Overall -
An adequate bath product but nothing to rave about and I am therefore happy that I didn't part with lots of pennies to purchase this. It made the bathroom smell pleasant but I can't say that my skin felt any smoother or softer than before I went in the bath. However on a positive, it didn't dry out my skin which has sometimes happened in the past with other harsher bath products.
