There's nothing I love more than treating myself to a relax in the bath with lots of bubbles! I usually use Radox products but I was bought this as a gift.
This is a beautiful product, the bottle looks lovely as it's very simple and see through with black writing which makes it look quite classic. The bubble bath itself is pale pink which looks lovely in the bottle.
The bottle opens with a screw cap and the smell is so lovely! It smells just like strawberry milkshake, it really does taste good enough to eat/drink! It does make your mouth water, it's so lovely.
The negatives come now, it's very thin so it soon runs out of the bottle so you have to be careful. I find that it doesn't create many bubbles. I have to really work the water a lot to encourage the bubbles to appear and then they don't last very long. I get in the bath and it's lovely with bubbles and smells nice but within a few minutes the bubbles seem to just disappear and the bath looks a bit slimy which isn't very nice!
I don't find that the smell lingers for very long either, it tends to just disappear along with the bubbles which is a shame.
It does look lovely and it does smell nice initially but it just doesn't work how i'd like it to, I like bubbles which are big and which stay for my bath not disappear as soon as I get in! So just 2 stars from me.
I am reviewing a bubble bath and shower crème by a brand called ‘I love . . .’. The product I am reviewing is called Strawberry Celebration although from what I can see this is the same as the Strawberries & Milkshake bubble bath and shower crème. The bath crème comes in a round bottle which is short and quite chunky. It’s made from clear plastic and you can see the colour of the product in the bottle which is a pearlescent pale pink colour. On the front is clearly states what the product is. It also says ‘ Feel scrumptious with a burst of fresh strawberries and smooth yummy cream’. The lid to the bottle is black and this flips back to reveal a small hole in which the bath crème can be dispensed out of. On the back of the bottle it tells you a little about the product, how to use it and you can also find a list of ingredients as well. All of the ‘I Love’, bubble baths and shower crème include a unique skin softening vitamin complex to help moisturised and keep skin soft and supple. There is also natural extract of strawberry in this product as well. The bath crème is soap free, paraben free and pH balanced.
I purchased a 500ml bottle of this from my local Superdrug store for £1.49 which is on offer from £2.99.
USING THE PRODUCT:
I dispensed a small amount of the product under the tap and left the bath to run for a few minutes. On returning there were plenty of bubbles in the bath and I could smell the sweet scent from the product. I got into the bath and relaxed a little and noticed that the scent from the product was starting to fade a little. The bubbles stayed afloat on the top of the water during my time in the bath and didn’t disappear like some bubbles do when using a bubble bath. The product seemed to be very kind to my skin without irritating the dry areas on my legs which is good. After patting my skin dry I didn’t notice a huger difference in how soft my skin felt, although it didn’t feel dry either which was good. The scent of the product couldn’t be smelt on my skin which was a little disappointing but I was going to apply body butter anyway.
This bubble bath really isn’t anything that special but it is very reasonably priced even at full price and it was nice to use as well as being kind to my skin. Although the packaging to the product is very simple I don’t actually think it makes it look as cheap as what I actually paid for it. This is a really nice product but I doubt I would purchase it again as I prefer using other products in my bath, where the scents last a lot longer.
To celebrate this 'great British' summer, the I Love... brand of toiletries - sold at Superdrug - redesigned their Strawberries & Milkshake Bubble Bath & Shower Cream bottle to display a pink Union flag. This is partly what drew me to the product, but I also liked the sound of the scent, and have tried I Love... products in the past which I have enjoyed using.
The large 500ml bottle cost just £2, which is great value for money. The bottle is clear so you can see the pale pink product inside; it is also easy to see how much you have left. I find that I use about 1/8th of the bottle at a time, but you can use more or less depending on how economical you want to be or how many bubbles you want.
To use, simply pour under running water and swirl it about, then get in the bath. I find that this product produces a reasonable amount of bubbles, not as many as I would get with a Lush product, but then, this is much cheaper! The water doesn't change colour, as the pale pink shade becomes diluted in the clear water. The product has a lovely strawberries-and-cream scent which isn't extremely strong but is certainly discernible.
The bubbles don't last as long as Lush bubbles, but this doesn't particularly bother me. I tend to use this product for my quicker baths, leaving my Lush stuff for longer, more luxurious baths. The bubble bath doesn't irritate my skin, but it doesn't moisturise it either, so I do need to apply moisturiser afterwards.
Overall, I can certainly recommend this bubble bath and shower cream. It smells lovely, works well and is excellent value for money.
I popped into Superdrug last weekend and picked up a ridiculous amount of stuff as they currently have loads of great offers. I picked this strawberries & milkshake bubble bath because it is from the 'I love..' range which I absolutely adore, and it was also on offer at 2 bottles for £2.99 which I think is a total bargain considering how good it is. If you want to try this but you are not sure you will like it so don't want to buy 2 bottles, the bubble bath (or Bath Creme as Superdrug call it!) is £1.99 for a single bottle.
Packaging wise, this comes in a generously sized 500ml bottle which is made of a sturdy plastic and it is actually quite heavy. The bottle is transparent, so you can see the lovely light, baby pink liquid, and it has a black flip lid which when flipped open exposes a hole in which the product comes out of. This aids in not pouring too much product out at once/wasting it, so I think it's a good feature of the bottle. On the front on the bottle it has black writing. The writing simply has the product name and a brief description. There are also three cute hearts which vary in size, making it clear that this is a very feminine orientated product if you hadn't guessed already!
The texture of this is quite creamy and runny, it has an overlly 'wet' greasy feel to it and has a metallic pink appearence. To use it you simply pour a bit out under the warm tap. It froths up nicely and lots of bubbles appear, the bubbles are quite small and have a lovely shiny tint to them. The amount of bubbles that a small amount produces is really generous and I can fill my bath full of bubbles with a few 50p sized blobs of the liquid. This can also be used by squeezing a blob onto exfoliating gloves or a loofah and rubbed onto wet skin - it creates a gorgeous lather of bubbles and leaves my skin smelling nice!
The smell isn't quite as nice as I had imagined, but it's still pleasant. It smells just like a creamy strawberry milkshake and the smell is very similar to the 'I love Strawberries & Milkshake body butter'. There is definetly a chemical undertone to this. It is quite plasticy and quite noticeable when i'm in the bath, however once i'm dried off and dressed, it lingers on my skin and smells really nice and doesn't have an undertone - weird. The smell is more refreshing then relaxing and it's definetly a candy type smell which some people will love, and some won't like. It reminds me a bit of how the Lush bath ballistics smell but it doesn't have that natural kind of smell or feel to it and it doesn't have the type of smell that makes my mouth water.
The product doesn't turn the bath water milky and doesn't turn the water pink. The bubbles are the same colour as a normal bubble would be. This product definetly leaves my skin feeling noticeably smoother but not to the point where I feel as if it's a moisturizing kind of product - in fact my skin often feels quite dried out after using this so I always moisturize after i've bathed in it. Overall for the price this is a real bargain, it is pretty basic to be totally honest but I would reccomend it if you like the sound of it.
This range, I love Strawberries and Milkshake, is completely new to me. I came across it in one of the larger Superdrug's in Watford. My local one is of a good size but I have yet to see this range there.
It seems that this is part of a whole range called I Love... There were three different flavour ranges and I understand that there are actually more from the website, but this was the one I decided to 'trial' first.
The product I decided to buy was the I Love Strawberries and Milkshake bubble bath and shower crème.
I was surprised to see that the bottle was not all that expensive. It is 500ml for £2.08 which I think quite reasonable.
It comes in a slightly dome shaped bottle with a flip top black lid so it's very user friendly. The bottle is see-through so you can see the most beautiful pink colour right through. All there is on the bottle is black writing giving information on the product details, usage, ingredients and so on. All in all, I think it makes for a rather nice looking product.
The smell is absolutely on the spot, smells just like a strawberry milkshake from MacDonald's or something, very fruity but creamy though it's a deeper, richer pink that you would get for an actual strawberry milkshake which tend to be pale pink.
I knew it was half a bubble bath and half a shower crème so I was expecting it to be thinner than usual shower crèmes and gels but it was actually pretty decent and I didn't have to use too much in one go.
As I used it with a shower puff, the lather released the scent more though the smell didn't linger much once I had washed it off.
I'm going to enjoy using this, it's quite fun, and will definitely try others in the range if I get the chance.
