“ Brand: Cussons / Type: Bath Soak / Skin type: for dry skin and for all types „
I currently have a few different bubble baths on the go, one of which is the Aqua Therapy De-Stressing Bath Soak by Imperial Leather. I have used quite a few Imperial Leather products over the years and have found them hit and miss - some are lovely and others are not so good, so I must admit I went into using this product not quite knowing what I was going to get!
The bath soak is packaged in a clear bottle through which you can see the dark green liquid. The shape of the bottle is the usual curvy style that the majority of Imperial Leather products are packaged in and has a leafy design on the front. I think the colours of the bottle make it look slightly masculine, but on the whole it's a nice enough design.
To use you simply put a glug of this under running water as you would with any other product of this nature. The green liquid is thick, but disperses quickly under the running water, turning the water a very pale greenish-grey shade. I was a little disappointed by the amount of bubbles this produces. The bottle advises to expect 'rich, fragrant and creamy bubbles' but having used this product several times now I have found that the bubbles are actually more of a thin froth than a mountain of bubbles which is what I would expect.
The bath soak contains sea fennel which is a source of vitamin C, a natural skin enhancer and white tea which is rich in antioxidants. The smell of the product is nice but does not strike me as being particularly special. I'd say it's quite a unisex scent and smells herby and to some extent minty I think with that general 'sea' scent you get from a lot of toiletries. As I say, pleasant but nothing special.
Although the bubbles are not as thick as I would like I find when bathing in this they do last a long time. Surprisingly I have even found that I will have some bubbles remaining even when I have used other soap based products in the bath. The scent only lingers for around five minutes before I stop noticing it.
I don't find this to be particularly de-stressing to be honest and nor to I find that it does much for my skin.
A 500ml bottle of this bath soak will cost you £1.53 from Tesco but is currently on special offer for just £1 which I think is closer to its true value.
Overall I found this to be quite an average product. I would use it again if there were no alternatives, but faced with a shelf full of choices I don't think I would go for this one again.
I love nothing more than a nice a bubble me and for that reason I purchase a lot of bath cremes, bubble baths and the likes. Imperial Leather I find to be of good quality usually and with nice scents and more often than not I find them in offer in places like Poundland, Asda and Tesco and this bottle was no exception as it was on offer at said a pound in my local Asda store so I decided to grab it and give it a go as I hadn't tried this variety/fragrance before.
The bottle holds 500ml of the bath soak which is dark translucent green in colour and you can see that cos it has a see-through bottle. To the top of it there is a turquoise coloured twist on/off lid and on the front of it a picture of green leaves and we are told that it is Cussons Imperial Leather 'Aqua Therapy', De-Stressing Bath Soak 'With Sea Fennel & White Tea' and that it is a family kind product for over 60 years. On the back of the bottle other information listed includes being told a bit about the product and the ingredients are listed as is the size (as I have stated already) and contact details for PZ Cussons (the manufacturer of the product) are given. Nice enough, informative and unisex bottle this is and of large size too!

Mild enough for the whole family
Well all you need of this thick gel like liquid which is highly fragranced in a leafy way with a hint of what I think is menthol but really soft at the same time and well blended is a blob and that creates lots of thick white foamy bubbles and lovely fragranced bath water and no colour to the water either.
When in the bath the water feels soft enough, the bubbles hang around for about an hour whilst you soak however although I find this soak pleasant enough and like most baths, no matter what I pop in it, it is relaxing though I couldn't go as far as to say it is actually de-stressing as such. Like I say it is pleasant enough though, doesn't irritate my sensitive skin and I do think this is a great unisex scent.
This leaves my skin delicately fragranced for a few hours, doesn't dry my skin out or make it oily or anything adverse like that but I can't say it leaves me particularly feeling uplifted or less stressed and my skin doesn't feel particulary moisturised after using this every day however it is a nice enough product and not one I would avoid purchasing in the future!
Available in all good chemists and supermarkets and the likes and if not on offer can be purchased closer to the £2.00 a bottle.
