      Not good enough for me

This is a review of my latest (finished!) bath cream. It's called 'Blissful' by the well known bathing brand Imperial Leather and the scent is butterfly lily and amber. The product promises to be divinely smoothing and as with many of these new and unusual products, it's limited edition. I think they bring them out in time for the Christmas market for mums and nans' presents!

      The purchase
I am quite surprised I picked this one up actually as it is largely orange in packaging and that's not a colour that usually speaks to me. However, at the time, I remember I was in a rush with a yelling baby trying to escape the trolley seat and the watchful eye of my husband as I spend his hard earned by piling things in to the trolley.

      Packaging
As mentioned, it's an orange product, with an orange screw top lid and clear body so you can see how much is left when you are using it. The label is fairly simple with the Imperial Leather logo in the middle. It is also all recyclable when finished with which is good. My only criticism is that the lid is hard to re attach once you have screwed it off the first time, I have had to balance the lid on the top of mine as I can't get it to rethread back on. This isn't a problem until it gets knocked over and leaks everywhere!

      In use
I have totally torn through this bottle of bath cream, largely due to how fast the liquid escapes the bottle when pouring in to the bath. Perhaps using the lid to measure out a dose would be more economical. I have found the foamy-ness to be amazing with this product, with it outlasting the length of even my indulgent bath times (which usually include soaking, reading, cleaning, hair washing and more reading). I think this means I use too much product to be fair. Smell wise, I have to say it is not strong smelling or long lasting but to me it smells a bit like mandarin orange, but perhaps that is the colour that is guiding me more than my nose. It is a nice smell though and helps to generate a calm environment in the bathroom when the water foams the product. I note these key ingredients are not far off one of the more expensive brands of cosmetics cologne (Jo Malone) so if you are a fan of that you may well love this bath cream too.

      Price
I picked up my 500ml bottle of bath cream for an unarguable £1whilst it was on special offer in Asda. I note that Tesco are doing an identical offer for this at the moment before the price returns to normal at £1.53. I still think it's quite good value for this amount of money provided you are careful when tipping it in to the bath.

      My thoughts
I enjoyed a fair few baths in the beautifully titled butterfly lily and amber bath cream made by Imperial Leather. I liked the smell of it and found the bubbles to be more than adequate so would be happy to repurchase this again in the future if the limited edition allows. I have only awarded three stars due to the packaging being a bit rubbish with the lid although I did like the actual product.
      3/5
