I'm reviewing Imperial Leather RELAXING shower Cream. It comes in a 250ml bottle and cost me £1 on POUNDWORLD. _________________________________________________ **WHY I BOUGHT THIS*** I bought it because Poundworld was newly opened in our neck of the woods at the time and I went mad buying brand names that normally cost £2 in chemists. Some day I'll post a picture of my bathroom cabinet and people will faint in horror. It's like a miniature POUNDLAND/POUNDWORLD . Anyway , my hubby likes Imperial leather soap (he says it smells 'manly') so I thought he might like this.Unfortunately he took one look at the "girly coloured bottle",sniffed it, and refused to use it. So it was left for my use. ***USING*** It is quite nice . And that's basically it .Just nice. Not attention grabbing in any way. The bottle is lilac coloured, plastic, and a nice curvey wave shape . The cream lathers up nicely ,so no issues there ,lots of refreshing cleansing suds . As for the smell ? Well I just couldn't place it at all. They say it contains Lavender and Bergamot, and yes I can get a very very slight hint of lavender, but extremely mild/gentle in a baby powder way. I'm not even sure why a shower cream needs relaxing lavender to be honest. I prefer something peppy to wake my skin up . But back to the smell.....I used this a few times and then got bored and set it aside, but on using it again a few days ago I thought it looked, and indeed smelled ,like a pleasant fabric softener ! Not that this is TOO bad a thing, because some fabric conditioners are gorgeous, but for a body wash/shower cream I prefer something more exciting. My skin felt nice and soft after using it and it wasn't drying,as some shower creams are, so no complaints regarding performance. ***MY OPINION*** It is a nice little shower cream. 'Pleasant ' is the word I would use. It fulfills cleansing needs and can't be faulted for lather etc. Plus it is from a tried and tested company who know their stuff and deal in quality products,so in that respect I was happy to get it for £1. Regarding stars I'm being harsh by removing one, because it is a bit bland fragrance-wise. Would I recommend it ? Yes,if you get it cheap enough, but just don't expect it to be knock-out wonderful or radiate a delicious aroma and you won't be disappointed. Thank you for reading and I hope this was helpful ~~~myloh.
To be honest I either like to have a Shower in the morning to wake me up, or I have 1 later in the night for which it doesn't matter if i'm that bit sleepy, as it's not exactly bed time when I have the Shower. I found it a bit odd that there was a Relaxing Shower Cream out there, so thought that it was worth a try. I bought this when I bought the other 3 Shower Gels I got. So why did I buy 4 Shower Gels at the 1 time? Because of a good offer that is. My local branch of Asda was selling this for £1 a bottle for the 250ml bottle or they were selling 4 for £3. Although £1 is a not bad price for 250mls of a brand named product, but 75p is even better. The bottle looks the same as the Dooyoo picture - as usual. The bottles have changed a little over the years and instead of these being quite rectangular shaped, these are now slightly shaped and don't seem so hard and cold plastic. The colouring is nice on this bottle and the large plastic flip top lid is easy enough to open when you have wet hands. This is a medium thickness cream. A good sized blob of this on a Shower Puff will Foam up well and give lots of fine little Bubbles. The scent of this is nice as well. It is quite a subtle scent which is that bit delicate smelling. It's hard to say what kind of scent is in here, but I know it states that this has Lavender in it, it isn't a right strong smelling scent. Just a nice light Creamy scent which smells a little like Parma Violets and a nice Creamy scent. So this gently scented my skin, freshened it up and seemed to Moisturise but that could be because it is a Cream. I wouldn't say that this made me a bit sleepy, but the gentle scent was nice. I would buy this again as it does what it said it would do - apart from make me sleepy, but I did find it nice and relaxing which it is branded a relaxing Cream anyway.
For Christmas my mam always buys me a goodie bag full of different shower gels and toiletries. This year in the bag I received the imperial leather relaxing shower cream. The packaging: The bottle size is 250ml and it is a lovely relaxing lilac colour. The information is displayed simply with the imperial leather logo. The product: One thing that is important to me when im looking for a certain product is the smell. Unfortunately the smell of this isn't very appealing at all. It smells a bit like very strong perfumed talc. I decided to try the shower cream anyway. The cream is quite gloopy and it is in between a gel and a cream. I like my shower creams to be a bit more luxurious. The cream does lather up quite well even when using a small amount. The result: The bottle states that the shower cream is intended to create a relaxing effect with lavender and bergamot. Unfortunately I didn't really feel it however, My skin did feel soft and clean afterwards. The cost: This was a gift but doing a little bit of research this product costs around £1. Overall: I wouldn't buy this shower cream again. I think as a basic it is ok but I prefer to have a more luxurious cream in my bath or shower.
