Imperial Leather is a well-known name in the UK, I have always found their products to be effective and good value for money This Soft Touch shower gel is no exception.
I bought this shower gel in my local chemist where it cost me just 99p for a bottle containing 300ml. I particularly like the contoured shaped of the bottle as this makes it easy to grasp in the shower. The bottle has flip up lid and the hole to access the gel is large enough to dispense a reasonable amount of gel. The gel is white in colour and it is fairly thick in texture.
The shower gel performs very well, producing a rich creamy lather even in my hard water region. It is well fragranced, floral and feminine; the scent of this product lasts on my skin for several hours after my shower which I think is a huge plus in a shower gel. This is a moisturising shower gel and this is where Imperial Leather Soft Touch comes into its own. The product leaves my skin feeling fresh, clean and very well hydrated, far better in fact than other shower products costing very much more.
All in all this is well worth buying; it does all you expect from a shower gel and more. My only negative is that I prefer shower gels to come with a hanging hook, but that is a minor issue.
I don't usually buy Imperial Leather products, the fragrance for me is too soapy and I think that they all smell very similar so I avoid them. I ended up trying Imperial Leather's Soft Touch Shower gel when I had gone away for the weekend and forgot to pack shower gel. This was pretty much all that was available in the nearest shop to our hotel.
I first used this product the morning after the night before. I really could have done with something invigorating and uplifting so it wasn't the perfect time to test it out. It didn't awaken me the way I like my morning showers to, I feel that it's soft soapy scent is better suited to evening showers when you're getting ready to go out and want to smell clean and girly or to wind down after a busy day.
I continued to use this at home until I had finished the bottle but was looking forward to finishing it to make some space! Don't get me wrong it does what it's supposed to do, it worked up a wonderful lather with plenty of bubbles in the shower and left me feeling clean but I miss the zing of citrus shower or the luxury of a vanilla or coconut shower. I wouldn't search this shower gel out and would only use it again If I was in a similar situation to how I was when I initially bought it.
Overall it's a basic product, there's nothing bad but nothing great about this shower gel.
I love Imperial Leather products and I especially love their soft leather touch shower gel. Home Bargains are currently selling this shower gel for only ninety nine pence for a very large sized bottle. I love the swirly shape of the bottle as it reminds me of the sea. The gel itself has a kind of pearly sheen to it and it's quite thick and smells divine. It foams really well in the shower and it glides over my skin like velvet. the fragrance is floral though I wouldn't say that it's too feminine and in fact my husband has used this shower gel himself on a few occasions and commented on how much he loves it. My husband also uses this shower gel to wash his hair though personally I cannot comment on this as I have only ever used it to wash my skin. It's a very hydrating shower gel and it certainly isn't one which dries out the skin, quite the opposite in fact as it really makes my skin feel soft and smooth and a lot more hydrated after I have used this shower gel. I love the way that although the fragrance is so delicate, that it actually lingers on my skin for a good few hours after I have used it. It is really very impressive i this respect. Overall, I cannot find any fault with this particular shower gel. I love the quirky shaped packaging and it rinses off beautifully and never makes my skin feel irritated or itchy. I do think it is a shower gel which is suitable for use by the whole family and certainly for the price, I would very much recommend it.
I love Imperial Leather products and I especially love their soft leather touch shower gel. HOme BArgains are currently selling this shower gel for only ninety nine pence for a very large sized bottle.
As a cash-strapped mum of two, I usually use the lowest price showergel I can find. Howver, on seeing this product on offerr for a similar price to the store's own brand, I decided to treat myself. The first thing I noticed about this gel was the fragrance. Wow! It is seriously strong, but not overpowering. The smell is divine while you are using the product, then stays ona your skin in a more subtle form for hours afterwards. The gel foams easily, and you only need tomuse a fraction of what you would use of a lower priced product, meaning that Imperial Leather is actually an economical option.
The packaging is perfect. The bottle looks like it should cost three times the price, and the curved shape makes it easy to use with slippery hands in the shower. The cap is easy to open and close, and the bottle does not leak. The gel feels fantastic on the skin and leaves you soft and smooth. Despite the strong fragrance, the product is not irritating, and feels gentle enough to use daily.
This product has also been a hit with my seven year old daughter, who has started to want more grown up products. She also uses it to make her own 'perfume'. Mixed with water, the product is just as effective as a cleanser, and wil last much longer too.
This shower cream leaves you feeling like velvet. It leaves the skin hydrated and soft and smells so creamy and is a calm smelling sower cream. It doesn't lather up so if you want a shower gel that will make you feel very fresh and clean this is not the one to buy. I personally use it at night before I go to bed as it makes me feel relaxed, calm and tired. The jojoba milk and vitamin E are what makes your skin moisturized, hydrated and feeling soft. It is very rich but is quite a thin texture. Another thing is you have to use a lot so it does not go a long way. It ran out very quickly for me. I have used shower gels which foam up which is roughly the same sized bottle as this one and they lasted longer for me. It will run out quite quickly. One last thing is it could do with a shower hook as is quite awkward in the shower and keeps falling over so make sure you put the top back on or you will lose or your product down the drain!
I recently ran out of shower gel (again!) and decided to try something a little different to my usual 'flavours'. Whilst perusing the shelves in my local toiletry shop I came across a shower cream by Imperial Leather that I hadn't tried before. Readers of my reviews will know I use a lot of the Cusson's Imperial Leather range, so finding a new variety is always a temptation I can't resist.
This Soft Touch Shower Cream comes in Imperial Leather's usual contoured plastic bottle with a separate snaptop lid. The bottle is good as it's easy to grip in the shower; the lid, as I've complained on many occasions, is not, as it's easy to shatter if the bottle is dropped. Oh well!
The bottle states that this shower cream contains jojoba milk and vitamin E. I'm always pleased to find products containing Vitamin E as I know it's good for my skin. Jojoba milk was a new ingredient for me, but the purple flower bud on the bottle intrigued me and I decided to give it a go. I paid around £1 for a 250ml bottle, the standard price, I find, for Imperial Leather shower products.
The shower cream itself is opaque and white, and has a very milky, almost satin appearance. It's easy to squeeze from the bottle, and if anything it's a little less viscous than most other Imperial Leather shower creams or gels I've tried.
It was the smell that most surprised me. I don't know what jojoba is supposed to smell like, but I'm pretty sure it's not supposed to smell like satsuma oranges! But, I promise, that's precisely what I smelled on first, second, third and subsequent uses of this product. I'm not complaining, I love the smell of satsumas, but it was a bit of a shock!
The cream lathered up very well and I loved the feel of it on my skin. The (satsuma!) scent lingered well after I'd dried myself and got dressed, and since the weather is so hot at the moment, it was a nice, summery scent to have following me around! My skin definitely felt softer after use too. The bottle does promise 'triple moisturising action' and I would concur that I received good moisturisation from this product.
This is a great addition to my Imperial Leather shower collection, and a cream I shall include in my regular rotation of favourites to purchase. It smelled great, felt great and made my skin feel good. An excellent product!
