I tend to try out different shower gels and creams depending what is on offer and never really stick to the same one. I came across this imperial leather shower cream whilst out shopping on offer for £1 instead of it's usual £1.87 and thought I'd give it a go!
WHAT'S IT LIKE?
It comes in a clear plastic bottle with a white lid. It has nice fancy writing and the option I want for 'softly softly ' in lilac. The packing is all very pretty and feminine. You can see the white shower cream through the clear plastic bottle and it looks very creamy and thick.
When opening it you only have to squeeze a little out as it's quite thick and goes a long way. It is very creamy and feels luxurious. When I first started using the cream I noticed that it lathers up very well and you get a lot of bubbles from it. The smell is very strong without being overpowering and too much. It is a lovely feminine smell but not too sweet. The smell also seems to last for a few hours after having a shower so you continue to stay clean and fresh. After showering my skin also feels extremely soft and moisturizer, I think this is because of the vitamin E in it.
Love this shower cream and would definitely get it again, it has everything I look for in a shower gel or cream product.
When its on offer its definitely a bargain! £1 for 250ml and it lasts quite while too as you don't need to use too much.
5/5 for me!
Thank you for reading I hope it's been useful

I am not particularly loyal to any brand of shower gel and with finances a little stretched I tend to go for whatever is on offer. Having run out of my previous shower gel I headed to Superdrug for a replacement and found that some of the gels in the Imperial Leather range were on offer at just 89p for a 250ml bottle! Considering these normally retail at around £1.89 that represented a pretty good saving so I picked up a bottle.
The one that I decided to go for was the 'Softly Softly nourishing shower cream'. I must admit that whist moisturising my face and hands is a regular part of my beauty regime I am a bit lax when it comes to moisturising my body. For this reason I often go for shower products that have moisturising qualities in the hope that this will go some way to making up for the fact that I neglect the skin on the rest of my body.
The shower cream comes in a clear plastic bottle, which I always find handy as I can see how much product remains. The bottle is quite slim and has a lovely curved design, which also makes the bottle easy to grip when in the shower. The front label has the Imperial Leather logo and pictures of some floating petals. The cream claims to be 'family kind' so it is mild enough to be suitable for use by all the family. It is enriched with jojoba milk and vitamin E both of which are good for moisturising the skin.
The writing and pictures at the front are coloured purple and lilac, which makes it look nice and gentle. This stands out nicely against the white colour of the cream. The bottle has a flip lid at the top through which the product is dispensed. It should be noted that there is no handle on this bottle so it can't be hung in the shower. The bottle is however fully recyclable.
There is further product information about the cream on the back of the bottle. I was pleased to note that this product is 100% soap free and doesn't unbalance the skins natural pH. To use I just squeeze some of the cream onto my hands and massage over wet skin. I find that the consistency was not too runny but also not too thick. I did find however find it a little gloopy. I found that if I didn't squeeze the bottle for long enough as the product is a little gloopy it just goes back into the bottle! This did make it a little awkward to use and in the mornings when I am sometimes in a rush I did find this a little frustrating.
As I massaged this over my skin I found that it formed a lather with quite a few bubbles but not as many as I expected which was a little disappointing. This is probably due to that fact that it is soap free. The cream has a lovely sweet, milky fragrance, which is not too feminine so should appeal to all the family. The scent is quite relaxing and makes the cream a joy to use. I have found some of the shower creams and gels I have used in the past to be a little difficult to wash off as they would leave my skin feeling quite slippery and would leave me unsure of whether I had removed it all. I am pleased to note that this is not a problem in the case of this cream and it is easily washed off.
Once rinsed off my skin feels clean, quite soft and definitely more moisturised than if I used a normal shower gel/cream. I was also pleased at how long the scent of this cream lasted. I had a shower yesterday morning and was surprised that some of this scent still lingered on my skin some 10 hours later when I got home from work. This was something I was quite impressed by! As the scent is quite gentle I have found that it hasn't really interfered with the smell of my deodorant or perfume.
Overall then I am really quite pleased with this product and would purchase again even at full price.
I like to try out a different range of shower gels and creams, and the most recent one in our household was the Imperial Leather Softly Softly Shower Cream. After using it now for about a week, I have been pleasantly surprised with this.
Firstly, this shower cream is packed full of jojoba milk and vitamin E which helps to nourish the skin leaving it nice and moisturised. Furthermore, as vitamin E is included within this shower cream, it means it is perfect for people who suffer from sensitive skin, as this is a very kind to skin product. I find this shower cream most effective for using on skin with dry patches, as it will not irritate it and instead help to moisturise it.
As you can see from the packaging above, it comes in standard shower gel bottle with a flip top lid, as well as all of the product information on the front. It is available in a 250ml bottle or a 500ml, and the 500ml bottle retails at £1.96 which I think is a fair price for how much shower cream that would be in there.
When getting the shower cream out of the bottle, you only need to squeeze really lightly, and this is because if you apply much pressure, it will come shooting out and cause you to lose a lot of it, as the consistency of the cream is actually quite thin. The smell of this is delicious, it is very light and fresh and has an overall good feel about it. It is the type of scent that would make your body feel as if it has been cleaned well. There is no strong, fruity scents to this shower gel, and I think that is what makes it so lovely.
Once applied on to the skin, regardless of whether using a loofah or just your hands, the cream lathers up particularly well and really cleans into your skin. Once you have applied it, it washes off easily and fairly quickly, making it a fabulous product for using if you are in a hurry.
However, since this contains jojoba milk and vitamin E, and claims to make your skin softer, I was most looking forward to seeing the results after my skin was dry, to see if it was any more moisturised. Surprisingly, my skin did feel considerably softer and much more clean which is excellent. The only bad result was that the scent did not linger around too much after my shower.
Overall, I would really recommend you to try out this shower cream, particularly if you suffer from dry skin, because it does have good results and left my skin feel lovely and soft. For a reasonable price, it does the job and I would be happy to re-use this again and again. Thanks for reading.
My Nan bought a couple of Imperial Leather shower gels as they are currently on offer in Sainsburys. This one was 75p instead of the usual £1.50. It is a 250ml bottle so I think that it is good value for money.
The bottle is see-through and the lid is white with a strong flip section so that you can get the shower cream out. The Imperial Leather logo is at the top of the bottle on the front and is red so it stands out. The rest of the writing is brown and purple and there are purple and white hearts on the front.
The shower cream is meant to be nourishing as it contains jojoba milk and vitamin E. Jojoba milk has been used for centuries as a natural moisturiser and Vitamin E is essential for healthy skin. It is mild enough for the whole family to use, 100% soap free and has a skin friend PH. The shower cream has been dermatologically tested. Imperial Leather's family kind range of products are made from recyclable packaging to help you do your bit for the environment.
The shower cream smells really nice when you open the lid. I can't really describe the scent but it is quite sweet. When I poured the cream onto my body puff, it looked revolting. It comes out of the bottle in a congealed mess that looks more like bubble bath than a shower cream. I found that because of this, I struggled to get a small amount out of the bottle. This did put me off a bit. I couldn't smell the cream that much once I had poured it onto my body puff. I was surprised with how much it lathered though. You get loads of bubbles from quite a small amount. The bubbles were easy to wash off but I found the smell didn't stay on my skin for very long at all. I also don't think my skin felt much softer either.
For 75p it is worth trying this product but I wouldn't pay full price for it.
