I first started using the product 8 years ago when I was pregnant with my first child. I was getting terrible itching from "the bump" and when I mentioned it to the mid-wife she asked which shower-gel I used. At the time I was using some fruit-flavoured stuff, which although smelt lovely was drying my skin out. She recommended Johnsons pH5.5 as it is the closest product to the skins' needs. The itching stopped immediately and I haven't used an alternative product since - I daren't!
The shower gel comes in white, pinky, blue plastic bottle - be careful because a number of the Johnsons products come in similar bottles - I once picked the bubble bath stuff by accident. Its usually priced between £2.09 and £3.00 depending where you buy it from, although look out because supermarkets and Boots occasionally run promotions on it - the other week in Sainsburys it was half price.
It really does leave your skin feeling soft and mosturised and I would highly recommend it.
I always buy Johnson?s product for three year old daughter. I was purchasing some other Johnson product when I came across Johnsons Ph 5.5 Shower Gel. PRODUCT The Johnsons Ph 5.5 Shower gel is excellent for all skin types. Being Ph 5.5 it?s recommended for people with sensitive skin and the ingredients used which make it suitable for children mean that you are less likely to have an allergic reaction or come out in a rash. It comes in two sizes 250ml or the bigger bottle 400ml SMELL As soon as you use it you get this fresh smell, an aroma type smell on your body. It?s nothing overpowering, just freshness that you need in the morning. Again, if you do not like the over powering shower gels that have a smell that can know you out then this will be perfect for you. However, that doesn?t mean that it?s got no smell, just not one that will make you stand out from a crowd. USAGE Easy to use, simply put a bit on your hand and rub onto your hand until you create a lather. The only think is that I did find that you had to use a bit more than normal shower gels to create the lather. RESULTS It certainly works well on your skin. The moisturising vapours in the shower gel leave your skin feeling smooth and fresh. Your skin definitely looks healthier after you have used this product, and use if for a while there will be a noticeable difference. If you suffer from dry skin, or any other skin related problems. Johnsons Ph 5.5 Shower gel will soon help clear them away or improve them. AVAILABILITY You can buy Johnsons Ph 5.5 shower gel from Boots, chemists and supermarkets. PRICE The cost vaires according to size of the bottle. 250ml bottle costs £1.95 400ml bottle costs £3.95 In comparison to other shower gels like Radox this product may be a touch more expensive, but as they say you pay for what you get and with Johnsons you certainly pay for qual
ity. SUITABILITY It?s suitable for washing small children and even babies. Because the formula won?t cause reaction to their skin or hurt their eyes, bath times should be much easier. Of course, it?s suitable for adults as they too can benefit from the well balanced formula of the product. CONCLUSION With so many products on the market sometimes buying a shower gel is not longer as straightforward as it may have been. However, Johnsons is a quality brand name and this is a very good product that won?t let you down. If you want a no nonsense shower in the morning with a reliable shower gel, this is the one.
Johnson’s pH 5.5 Moisturising Body Wash comes in two sizes, 250ml at a cost of £2.50 and 400ml which costs £3.99 in Boots. The bottles are white in colour and have a flip top lid, which enables easy use in the shower. The body wash itself, which is clinically tested and one hundred percent soap free is pink and has a very light fragrance and contains the usual long list of unpronounceable chemical sounding ingredients, but don’t let that put you off this excellent product. I have been using this on and off now for more than a month, and have found that to achieve the best results from the product, I recommend that it is used in conjunction with a wet body puff. Using this method produces a rich, moisturising lather which I have found leaves my skin feeling smooth, clean, fresh and gently perfumed which lasts for most of the day. Just one drop of this rich body wash is all that is required to achieve these results which makes this product extremely economical to use. The 250ml bottle claims that it is good for more than fifty showers, but I think that I might be a little more extravagant than the recommendation Johnson's make on the bottle. However, I am not unhappy as a 250ml bottle has lasted me just under a month, and I know that my husband has also used it on the odd occasion! If you don’t have the recommended body puff, on the back of the bottle, Johnson & Johnson invite you to write to them requesting a free one. Their address is: Free Puff Offer J&J Limited Maidenhead Berkshire SL6 3UG Alternatively, the Body Wash starter packs usually contain one.
I use it almost everyday when showering. You use it on the "puff" that comes with it in a box. A nice smell (as you would expect from Johnson's) and very foamy. I am not sure how mositurising it relaly is as I still get dry skin on my legs, and need to sue moisturiser. But I guess there is only so much "moistursier" a washing product can have! I have tried some others like Ulay, and it is probably about the same foam and skin wise - but use Johnson's as assume it will be milder than the others as that is what Johnson's does (I hope!)
Being a delicate sort, I use Johnsons Ph 5.5 bath gel. I bought this by mistake a while back, instead of the equivalent shower gel. Turns out it was a happy mistake. I find that it works beautifully for a shower or bath - two products for the price of one. It seems to be very economical, and can be worked up into a good lather in the shower, or have you covered in suds in the bath. It is lightly scented, so it doesn't interfere with any other perfume you might be wearing. I also find that it adds moisture to you skin - now I am starting to sound like the ad! But I really to find that it lives up to the expectations. So a good purchase which makes a foamy bath which won't irritate your skin, and also doubles as a shower gel.
Wandering round my supermarket looking as I do at the offers they have on, I had a look for shower gel as I had ran out. I spotted Johnson's PH 5.5 body moisturiser buy one get one free, I looked at the price and thought it was very expensive at £4.00 but then I thought oh well it only works out at £2.00 each with the offer. I must say how impressed I am with it, it has a mild smell which I like and a little goes a long way on a loofer. I shower everyday and normally have to moisturise after. Being lazy I think this is a great product as I can just wash, rinse and go and know that my skin is soft and smoothe til my next scrubbing session. The other point that is good about this product is the top is easy to open with wet hands which I don't know if it drives anyone else mad but it certainly does me with other shower gels. The only drawback with this moisture wash I feel is the price (I feel it is quite expensive) and it could do with having a hook to hang it from your shower.
I use this every day when i have a shower. It leaves my skin feeling soft and gentle. I also use it on my baby son's skin as it is gentle enough to use on his skin. I put it on the puff that came with the Moisturising Body wash. Then you lather it all up, then put it all over your body. Then you rinse it off and it leaves your skin feeling soft and fresh. It is also good for sensitive skin which i have. I can't use many soaps or shower gels as they leave a rash on my skin when you rinse it off. It can also irritate my head aswell, depending on what i use. I have tried others that are cheaper, but always come back to this. It costs me £2.99 for a good size bottle. But it lasts awhile, so if you don't use it try it and give it ago.
Eeew, nothing worse than that weird feeling you get after a shower when your skin gets dry and irritated. If your skin is like that you've probably seen the ads telling you to get PH 5.5 to match the acidity of your skin. Johnson's PH 5.5 shower gel is based on this and I've used it quite a few times, but I found it made my skin worse - more dry and itchy. It smells really lovely but even as I used it, the gel seemed really coarse and as if it was stripping my skin away. Maybe it's just how it reacted on my skin,so if anyone found it better leave a comment if you like. =) Overall it's got a lovely smell and you get a nice sudsy lather so I recommend giving it a try and see if it suits your skin.
