I hadn't dabbled much with the brand Korres before Christmas but I received a few of their products as gifts so I was more than willing to give them a try. The first one that I tried was the Mango Shower Gel.
What does the product do?
The product promises to revitalise and cleanse the skin to leave you feeling fresh and clean. It claims that it will wash away impurities while nourishing the skin with natural ingredients such as mango extract and wheat proteins. It also promises to moisturise the skin and allows the skin to hold onto the moisture so that it leaves your body feeling soft and clean.
How do you use the product?
You use the product in the same way as you would use your usual shower gel. You are to apply it to damp skin while in the shower or bath and then rinse it away. You can also apply it to a sponge or shower puff to make the product go further and to achieve more of a foaming action.
Packaging and Price
The shower gel comes contained within a brown plastic bottle which is partially see through. It has a sticker label wrapped around it which tells you a little bit more about the product and it has a white flip top lid which is easy to open and close, even if your hands are wet and soapy. The product will cost you around £5 for 250ml of the shower gel. It can be bought from large department stores such as Debenhams and also a range of online websites.
Application and Performance
The shower gel has an aroma which is really delicious. It is really fruity and summery and smells strongly of sweet mangoes. It doesn't smell artificial and it really is a nice smell. If you don't like the aroma of mangoes then you won't like this but other than that, I don't think it would be enough to put anyone off. It has a nice consistency and when you apply it to a sponge, it makes a rich and silky lather. It feels completely comfortable on the skin and as it is full of natural goodness and free from hidden nasties then you feel like you are giving your skin a treat too.
It hasn't caused my skin any discomfort or irritations. It feels moisturising on the skin which is not that common with a shower gel. It gets your feeling really fresh and clean, and it does feel like it's doing a good job of removing the impurities from the skin. When I get out of the shower my skin feels nice and fresh. It doesn't feel tight or dry in any way and although I still need to apply a moisturiser after my bath, it does leave my skin feeling quite soft for a shower gel. Unfortunately the lovely mango scent doesn't linger on the skin after use for very long at all.
All in all, this is a lovely shower gel which contains natural ingredients and smells fresh and fruity. It leaves the skin feel cleansed and soft, and is quite moisturising too. I would happily recommend this to others who like using natural products and although it's expensive for a product of this type, a little goes a long way so you won't need to repurchase another bottle for a long time.
