“ Brand: Lush / Type: Body Soap „
I always receive a tonne of gorgeous fragranced gifts at Christmas, and this year was no exception. One of the gifts that I received was a Snow Fairy Gift Set from Lush. One of the items contained within the Snow Fairy Gift Set was this Angel's Delight Soap.
Normally when you buy Angel's Delight Soap from Lush you will get a slice of soap cut off the huge block of soap that they have in-store, so every bar of soap will be different and unique, with different colours and patterns within the soap. However the bar of Angel's Delight Soap within my gift set is moulded in the shape of a star, it's a gorgeous translucent bright pink colour soap, and it's flecked through with iridescent gold glitter. It's quite a small bar of soap, at just 60g.
My Angel's Delight Soap has a really sweet scent; it's a very fruity scent - sweet oranges and tangerines maybe? The fragrance doesn't really seem to linger on my skin at all, which is slightly disappointing. The gold glitter also doesn't stick to my skin, which isn't as disappointing as I don't want to head out to work every day covered in gold glitter! The soap doesn't lather up that well in the shower; however it does leave me feeling very clean and refreshed. The soap isn't moisturising in any way, it doesn't dry my skin out either though, and I do always follow a shower with body lotion anyway. Although the soap is quite small it does seem to be lasting really well, in fact it's hardly changed shape at all.
Angel's Delight Soap is a Christmas limited edition soap, and so is obviously only available in Lush stores in the run up to Christmas, and it's also contained within a number of their Christmas gift sets. I'm not actually sure that I'd buy this again for myself as I do normally prefer shower gels to soaps, and I also like the fragrance of my shower products to linger on my skin much more than this one does.
Angel Delight is a soap from Lush that comes out as part of their Christmas range every year. I got it in a gift set the year before last, and got it again this time. I have only just got round to using it as I had so much Lush products to get through!
The one I received first in my gift set was actually just light pink in colour and in the shape of a star, nothing like it appears in the image above. It is a bit sparkly though. The one I received in a gift set the Christmas just gone is a slab though and actually does look like it appears in the image. They both smell exactly the same though and so I'm pretty sure it doesn't matter which part of the giant slab of soap they cut up that you get, it all does the same and smells the same!
A lot of the Christmas range by Lush smells of candy and so I was kind of expecting this soap to smell of that too. However, I was quite surprised when I got round to using it and could smell fruity citrus scents. I love citrus scents though and so I instantly loved it. I didn't know what oils etc are included in this as it didn't say in the gift set, but I have been on the Lush website to get the exact ingredients and it states it includes tangerine oil, which is the main scent I can detect when using this. Therefore if you like citrus scents, and more specifically orange, then you will love this and it is very noticeable and strong.
The soap contains both gold and silver glitter, which you clearly see just from looking at the soap. it doesn't transfer onto your skin easily though and so you won't be covered in glitter after use. I don't think I would want the glitter to stick on my skin anyway, it is just nice to look at I guess whilst using it!
A little bit goes a long away and I still have a lot of mine left. I got a 100g sized bar which doesn't seem that big, but a little goes a long way. The scent really makes my skin smell fruity after use. I find that a lot of soaps and shower gels don't make my skin smell like their scents for very long after use, and I usually have to use other products for that such as bath bombs or bubble bars, or even a moisturiser that smells the same as the shower gel just to keep that lovely scent on my skin. However, this soap works very well on its own making it good value for money.
I would definitely consider buying this soap again next Christmas when Lush will be selling it again. I am not sure how much it costs by itself per 100g, as I got mine in a gift set. You can tell the shop assistant how much you want though or how much you are willing to spend on it, and they can cut up roughly the right amount for you.
I don't think the scent reminds me of Christmas that much, but the look of it and scents live up to its girly name Angel Delight.
As part of my shopping splurge in the sales after Christmas at Lush, I picked up quite a few different things. I like to try something new and although I don't use soap (always shower gel instead) very much, I decided to give Lush Angel's Delight Soap a try. Now, this is another Lush product which is only available at Christmastime so if you want some, you will probably need to stock up for the year if you use it a lot.
Usually this product is sold in chunks although I got mine as part of a set which was on sale. My piece of soap comes in the shape of a star and is a lovely sugary pink colour. When sold in a chunk, there are other colours such as blue, yellow and purple running through the soap. I do think the larger chunks of soap are much prettier than the star shaped soap you get in the gift box.
Before even wetting the soap, you can smell how sweet it is. To me, the soap smells like a lovely chunk of sweets which is one of the reasons why I couldn't wait to try using it. The soap contains coconut oil, rapeseed oil as well as tangerine oil amongst a range of other ingredients which is why it smells so sweet and nice. This has a very girly scent to it though so I can't imagine too many men wanting to use it.
While using this in the shower, I was surprised at how well it lathers up. I wasn't expecting a soap to get anywhere near as much lather as a shower gel but this one did really well. The warm, sweet scent of tangerines fills my bathroom each time I use this. The soap is very soft on the skin and the scent also clings to my skin. However, if you use any other product after this one, the scent will be overpowered but if you don't, it will last on your skin all day.
I was also surprised to see that the soap doesn't go down very quickly at all. I've been using this for a good few weeks now and the soap is barely any smaller than it was when I got it. Because of that, I think it would be fantastic value for money should it be bought in a larger chunk. I definitely want some more of this next year when it comes back into stock.
Lush do the most adorable and perfectly thought out goodies for holidays. Whether its Easter, Valentines Day, Chrismas, they have thought of them all! This Angel's Delight bar was limited edition through last Christmas, I couldn't hold myself back - I had to purchase it.
Angel's Delight is a soap that is bright coral pink in colour, there are loads of colours inside such as purple and orange, with loads of little silver stars and glittery bits on top. Obviously each piece is different depending on the bit thats cut - they can't make it all identical.
The soap lathers up a little on the skin, but not enough to create a foam. Using a scrubbie (my name for the body scrubbing balls) will help the soap to lather up and It doesn't really decrease in size per use which I love as it lasts well. The soap moisturises my skin really well but I do still tend to use a moisturizer afterwards due to the fact I don't feel my skin is hydrated enough.
The scent is gorgeous! It smells quite sweet and orangey which I think associates with Christmas well. The orange is probably due to the tangerine and orange oils inside. I love how the scent stays on your skin after using it and skin feels really soft.
I prefer using this soap as an 'every day', partly due to the fact I have other Lush soaps which relax me and I prefer to keep them for special occasions. It is lovely in the morning or for a late night shower as it makes me feel really fresh.
The soap cost £2.25 for 100g, and I hope it comes back this Christmas but unfortunately for now, it isn't possible to buy it. I know it has been in the Lush shop for the past couple of years so hopefully they haven't replaced it just yet.
I bought this soap from the body cosmetic store Lush because it looked so enchanting. Lush have a unique way of providing their handmade soaps. They simply cut off random sized pieces from a much larger 'cake' of soap in the same way as slices of Edam are cut from a bigger ball of cheese! This one actually looks like a new age ornamental paper weight! It has a shocking pink base with multi-coloured play shapes of stars and triangles floating through it whilst the surface layer of the soap is a golden crescent moon who is smirking and twinkling.
This is designated as a limited edition soap by Lush although it surfaces every Christmas. I'm not really sure why it's a Christmas special. The only reason I can think of is that it's bright design means it can be presented as a great looking gift. The soap is available in terms of weight and you can get it ready wrapped in stores or order your desired weight online. Obviously, since the soap is just a chunk off the main block you can end up with a random pattern on your individual piece. You are certain of getting the shimmering blancmange pink bottom though.
The gold top surface of the soap is exceedingly pretty and the top most surface has a layer of gold dust on it. It's not as coarse as glitter - more like a powder. When water hits this it literally becomes something like liquid gold. Then throughout the ochre gold layer there is a finer gold dust. This internal gold dust reminds me of when you get a tinted or light reflecting moisturiser with those tiny glittering particles in it.
The pink layer of the soap has a fine sparkle in it too. This time it's a white/delicate pink glow. The pink layer also contains what appear to be rainbow coloured star sequins. In my bar of soap they look like they are shredded sequins or malleable plastic pieces. These poke out of the soap and can feel a little bit scratchy. It kind of reminds me of the princess and the pea fairytale when she had a million gorgeous soft mattresses but was still made uncomfortable by the hard pea lump. Yes, the sequin pieces are visually pretty but when you rub the soap on your skin you can feel them and they are quite scratchy. They might be said to have an exfoliating quality except for the fact that the edges are just a tad too sharp. Throughout the pink layer there are random bits of other coloured soap chunks. These can be transparent, blue, purple, yellow or dark pink.
I have to say that this might be the prettiest bar of soap I've ever actually seen and it looks like something a Disney Princess would want. It's so colourful and sparkly and it sits quite tall and proud at around 3 1/2 inches tall. It's a real girly looking soap though.
The soap smells the same no matter which part you sniff. What I get from it is a mild fruity cocktail. It's like kiwi and passion fruit. Lush call the fragrance a 'jellybean' scent and claim the overall fragrance is created by a mix of tangerine and sweet orange oils as well as a blackcurrent perfume. They say the soap might smell like a sweet shop and I'd agree with that. It's definitely like the fruity jelly pick and mix section! Generally the fragrance is pleasing and it has a lightness and carefree tone. It's an upbeat kind of scent that people of all ages will enjoy. Men could use this although it might be a little bit too girly looking for them!
I use the soap both as a hand soap and as a body soap. I have found that it does melt quite quickly though but I love to use it on my body as I like to see the sparkles in the mix go onto my skin! The soap is quite difficult to get to lather unless you use a sponge or shower applicator. When it foams it has a thick and creamy lather that feels great to smother over skin. It makes me feel clean really quickly. I find the soap's slightly oily texture means my skin is left feeling moisturised and soft when I dry myself.
The soap contains a few special ingredients to help make it one of Lush's glory soaps. These are the tangerine and orange oils for their gorgeous scents. The soap also contains gardenia extract which as well as having an 'exotic scent' awards the pink colour in the soap and also has anti-inflammatory effects. It also might be handy to know that Lush have stopped using Palm oil due to environmental concerns and have replaced this with a combination of rapeseed and coconut oil.
The soap costs £5 per 180g. I would not hesitate to buy this again and would absolutely love to receive this as a present! It's any girl's dream to look at and it's scent and properties are also desirable. A fun soap from Lush that's packed with glitter, colour and girly surprises.
This review is also on Ciao!
This is definately a very girly product even more so I think than any other Lush product. It takes the form of a pink glittery soap which looks magical.
You cn buy 100g of this soap for £2.35 this year and it is a very individual soap to own and a definate for any girl fond of a bit of sparkle as the glitter sequins are visible through the pink soap.
The smell of the soap is very fruity a mix of lots of fruits together a bit like jelly babies very sweet so if your not a fan of overly sweet things this one is probably one for you to avoid. The soap seems to clean your skin well it lathers up nicely and leaves my skin smelling nice. It is not really a moisturising soap so don't expect that from it, though I don't really find any soap leaves my skin feeling soft, thats what we have ballistic for! On the down side the glitter can get on your nerves when you are trying to clean yourself an dhave to keep pulling glitter of your skin. Also make sure you wash the bath straight after because the glitter is quite stubborn once it gets stuck to the bath its easier to clean if you do it immendiately I usually blact them with the shower to get the moved.
I think soaps are one of the products which really are worth the money because you can get more use out of them. I will give this 3 stars because whilst I like the smell the glitter does get testing and my skin does not feel great after use.
If you have a female in your family who like the more girly things in life, then first spot is the shop Lush. Awash with wonderfully bright coloured soaps and goodies, Lush has proved a saviour for gift ideas and treats on many occasion. The Angels Delight soap is certainly one of the most vibrant looking soaps to have ever hit their shelves.
A block of 100g will cost just over the two pound mark. The first thing you will notice is how glittery and kitsch this soap is. Visible golden glitter and golden stars are dotted all over the soap, bringing it to life. It reminds me of something from The Powerpuff Girls! While not necessarily a soap for the men, the pink and yellow colour scheme makes it ideal for bathrooms in the same colour. There are also big stars carved into the soap, which make it suitable for the wannabe celebrities amongst enough.
In terms of smell, the overriding smell here is a punchy tangering scent. The tantaslising citrus hits you with a zingy freshness. When I tried it, I found it invigorating and sweet on the skin. The fruity punch will give you some get up and go before a night out and would also wake you up on a cold winter's morning.
On the downside, I didn't want to be covered in lots of glitter and this is the downside, as the glitter and stars do come off and get stuck to the skin or the bath, making it hard to clean. This is a minor quibble though and the overall look of the soap puts it streets ahead in terms of glamour. If you don't want to use it as a saop, a reasonable sized block of this would aldo work very well as a bathroom decoration. The rich marble effect would fool anyone into thinking you have the cash on some fancy ornament! A cheap, sexy and fun soap for fun people!
Angel's Delight was a limited edition soap released by Lush for the Christmas period last year. I got a piece of this soap inside a post-Christmas goodie bag, but hadn't got around to using it until quite recently.
The Angel's Delight originally on display in the shops was bright pink with a variety of colours, including purple and orange, running through it as well as a number of stars - the overall affect was rather kaleidoscopic. My own piece doesn't quite reach those high standards, but it is certainly very pretty, being pink with a purple streak and a couple of stars.
The soap smells delicious, exuding a generally delicious, sweet scent that reminds me a bit of oranges. This isn't surprising, seeing as it contains tangerine and orange essential oils. The smell lasts on my skin after using it, although depending which moisturiser I'm using the scent can be overpowered - it is a subtle scent and can easily be covered with perfume if you wish. I've found my bar is lasting a very long time: it produces a great lather but hardly seems to reduce in size, making it very economical! I've noticed other reviewers have had a problem with this soap lathering, but personally I always use a body puff which always vastly increases the lathering capabilities of any soap.
I really enjoy using this soap, and it really cheers me up in the morning when using it. In fact sometimes I just stop and smell it for no other reason other than to experience the lovely sweet scent again. I bet little girls would absolutely love this soap, and I'm already planning to buy it for my seven-year-old goddaughter if it comes back again at Christmas. My skin feels very soft after using it - I still need to use moisturiser, but the soap certainly doesn't dry my skin out. If you have normal or oily skin you might be able to get away without using moisturiser at all.
Last year this soap cost £2.25 for 100g, although every piece is a different size so you might pay slightly more. If it comes back this year - which I hope it does seeing as it's been around quite a few years - the price may increase slightly as most things in life seem to.
I do recommend this soap, and will certainly be repurchasing this Christmas! Although it is only around temporarily, it can be used all year round as the colour and scent don't particularly scream 'Christmas'.
I'm a big fan of all of Lush's soaps, therefore I'm always awaiting holidays such as Christmas when then bring out limited edition ranges. This is because I love trying out new things and I was instantly attracted to this soap when I picked it up last Christmas.
I think there are a couple of soaps which are limited edition at Christmas, but this was the one I went to first, solely on the fact that it was pink and pretty. The soap is a hot pink colour with specks of purple inside, as well as little studs and stars. My particular block didn't have as many stars as shown on the picture, so mine was a boring slab of Angel's Delight.
The scent of this is very girly and super fruity. It reminds me of sweets, however it is not a sickly smell. I find that it smells a lot like wine gums, but that may just be me. As a fan of sweet, fruity smells, I happily picked around a £3 block of this up, and it has lasted me a fair while.
Unfortunately, the smell seemed to disappear once applied on my skin, and it didn't linger unlike some other soaps do. The biggest problem I faced with this soap was that it just didn't lather well enough. Sometimes when I'm in a rush, I just want to use my hands when using soap, but there is not a chance of getting any lather when doing it this way, therefore a loofah is needed for the soap to be half decent. I wasn't impressed with this, and I do think it is just a bog standard soap. Just because it's pretty and smells nice doesn't cut it. It is overpriced, expensive and I am glad that it is only out at Christmas because it just doesn't live up to what I'd expect in a Lush soap.
Overall, I wouldn't bother trying it, as Lush do offer so much more variety in soaps which lather fantastic. This is the only soap I have been extremely disappointed with, and just can not grow to love it. Thanks for reading.
This is one of Lush's limited edition Christmas products. I got a huge chunk of it in my grab bag from their 'Free stuff aplenty when you spend £20' promotion and I was automatically 'delighted' (excuse the bad pun) with the colour and scent.
It's an interesting translucent pink colour that screams girlyness. Other people seem to have gotten pieces with blues and purples in it too but mine was completely pink. Mine also lacked the gold stars but I find these irritating to pick out of the bath anyways so no loss there!
The scent is hard to describe but I've settled on calling it a 'jelly baby' smell. Quite sweet and candy-like. I love the scent although I know people who find it a bit sickly.
So after loving the appearance and scent I was excited to try it out. Unfortunately this is where my love-affair ended with this product. I found it hard to get a lather and my skin didn't feel especially clean or soft or anything really after using it. The scent didn't linger on my skin afterwards either which was disappointing as Lush soaps usually leave a lovely subtle after-scent.
This product was just alright to be honest and I will no doubt use up the large chunk I got (after giving a few pieces to friends to try) but I'm glad I got it free and didn't purchase it as I would have been more disappointed. i had high hopes for this soap but all in all the best I say about it is that it's just 'nice'.
Angel's Delight is one of the special products that Lush bring out every Christmas and it is always featured in several gift sets as well as sold alone in pieces cut off a giant slab. As each piece is taken from a larger block, the colours and shapes will vary but it is usually mostly pink with pieces of purple and blue, and it has gold stars thrown into the mix too which makes it more fun, though they can be a bit annoying if one comes to the surface whilst you're using it and pokes you with a point! When you buy a piece on its own you will get it wrapped up in greaseproof paper printed with the Lush logo but if you get it in a set it will be unwrapped. In the past this soap has been made in star and moon shapes as well.
I got my piece at Christmas 2008, wrapped up with a label on but the label faded pretty quickly. It is mostly pink with a stripe of blue, dark purple and lighter purple on on edge, and had quite a few gold stars on it.
The scent of Angel's Delight reminds me most of jelly beans, but it is fruity and not at all fake with tangerine and orange essential oils, a really girly, child-friendly fragrance. I find it hangs around on my skin longer than most of the other Lush product scents, and it's really great for making the whole room scented as well. When I first put it in my bathroom the place smelled like Angel's Delight for a couple of weeks.
I don't think it's a particularly Christmassy product, with the gold stars it might be but I think glitter is a year-round thing, and the smell is actually quite summery in my opinion, I like to use it when I want to be cheered up and reminded of lovely sweet things.
I find that this soap lathers up very quickly and wears down slowly, which is why the same piece has lasted me for several months now (just as well it's only out at Christmas!). I don't use it all the time as it is neither moisturising or exfoliating, it just cleans and can be slightly drying, but with the gorgeous scent it makes up for this in my opinion, and sometimes I just want a soap to be a soap! A lot of people use bath puffs or scrubby gloves since Lush stopped using palm oil in their soaps to help them lather, I think if you used one with this you'd find yourself with far too much lather, but your mileage may vary.
I really enjoy this soap and will be getting more I hope next Christmas. I think it is very good value for money although the price goes up slightly every year, especially compared with other Lush soaps which can be used up more quickly as more is needed to make them lather. I would recommend it to anyone who likes the smell of sweeties and being clean!
Update: I'm now completely out of Angel's Delight, and I will definitely be investing in some more, fingers crossed it is back in Christmas 2010!
When I received a gorgeous snow fairy gift box for Christmas from a friend at Uni...I was beside myself with joy - no one had ever bought me a Lush gift box before, and they're SO pretty!
I've chosen to review each product in the box separately because they're all really different so I think they'll be more use that way! The uniting thread between them is that they are all UBER girlie and chock full of glitter and smell like candy!
The soap comes in a beautiful, slightly irregular star shape, with a huge smattering of glitter across the top. While it was very very pretty, it was the item in the box I was least excited about - I use shower gels rather than soaps as I tend to find soaps leave my skin tight and feeling a bit rough. But it smelt so good (think how old-school sweet shops that sell sweets in jars smell) that I just had to try it out first.
I applied it straight to skin under the shower, and it really did produce a very strong smelling beautiful lather. Apparently it's full of citrus fruits but that's not quite how it strikes me - as I said I think it's more reminiscent of candy. The soap is actually surprisingly moisturising - and while it doesn't leave your skin quite as soft as some gels might, it's much better than a lot of soaps - and you certainly feel SUPER clean. The glitter doesn't really stay on your skin, which I guess you could see as a positive or a negative - depending on how much you like glitter!
By far the best thing about this soap was the way it left my skin feeling, and even better - smelling! I felt like I didn't need to wear any perfume and all day long I was receiving compliments about the way I smelt.
Can't really think of any downsides for this product - it's a little pricey...but no more than other Lush products, and it's well worth it - a small bar lasts ages and acts as a fragrance too...brilliant. As a die-hard gel fan I have to say that if they sold this limited edition product all year I'd be tempted to convert!
Angel's Delight is one of Lush' Christmas Limited Edition offerings.
This is quite a festive, cheery, magical looking glycerine soap - it's a nice shade of pink which I find quite hard to describe so won't try to (the picture shown is quite accurate, anyway).
Throughout,it's studded with bits of other coloured soap shapes which give it a sort of ''thrown together'' look that I quite like - it makes it look quite fun!
It has little gold and silver stars on as well (though my chunk didn't have any).
I've heard that this smells like jellybeans and, though I don't disagree,I wouldn't say that's what it smells like overall to me.
To me,it smells like sweet oranges - like some sort of orange juice drink - Sunny D or some such thing.
It's a really fruity, feminine orangey scent and, although it is sweet,it's not as sweet as I expected when I heard it was meant to smell like jellybeans.
You use it as you would any other Lush soap - this is one of the few Lush soaps that dosn't give a good lather (apparently because they no longer use Palm Oil) but you can still feel it cleaning you and it still leaves it's mark.
When you leave the bath or shower after using this, your skin will be squeaky clean without feeling tight or dry and you'll smell faintly of sweet orange all day - a really subtle sort of scent which will catch you off guard every now and then.
Lush's Angels Delight is one of Lush's seasonal products and has just come back out in the shops ready for christmas time.
As we know Lush's products are naked as where possible and this is no exception. When you go in the huge circular soaps are stacked up with a few pre wrapped in paper ready to take to the till. If you want a smaller piece ask one of the staff they are really nice at Lush I feel and approachable. You can have a label printed out that details the item should you wish to give the product as a gift.
The huge uncut pieces in the shop are fantastic, a clearish jelly pink colour with flashes of occasional bluey purple thrown in for good measure. Visible are twinkling stars strewn throughout the product and also a few on the surface, you are bound to get a piece with all this in but occasionally you may get a piece that is just pink with no purple.
As said before likened to certain jelly baby flavours, it's just a girly girl scent and smells of....pink!! Very saccharine and fruity and not to everyone's taste.
Use in shower or bath as a normal soap. I find the product lathers ok, not exceptionally well but this is not like a 'normal' soap. Use with a sponge or wash mitt to make the product last longer.
This soap is not at all creamy or moisturising and is purely a cleaning soap. I have sensitive skin and it has not caused me any problems.
Well that is apart from the stars in the product. They spike you and feel very rough and not at all pleasant, I have to pick them out else I'll get spiked and end up sitting on them and it is most unpleasant!! Very scratchy and horrible so best to get rid of them when they start appearing, lucky there is not many and don't forget you can get a piece cut off with as few stars as possible as the staff will behappy to help you.
As I say it cleans well and is very fragrant, with a longish lasting scent to the skin.
It needs to be kept in a dryish place and preferably drained off after use, do not leave it in a little water puddle else it may go a tad sloppy.
Well it costs £2.50 for 100g and is reasonably long lasting providing good value for money. It is not for everyone but I personally love it!!
4/10 cos of the evil pointy stars.
Wow, wow, wow, I am sure you know by now that I adore anything and everything from Lush, so here I am reviewing yet another Lush product which I recieved in my christmas candy box last year!
What is it?
This is one of the soaps from lush, it is one of the solid ones, unlike the ones that have the jelly like consisietency, although it does like a jelly one.
Where can you buy it?
As it is a Lush product it is purchasable from Lush! You can buy it instore or online, you can purchase it as a single item or it is avaliable in some of the box sets!
This is a limited edition christmas one and this means that you can only purchase it at christmas time of the year, which I hate as I love it so much and I would use it all year round!
How much it is?
It costs around £2.35 per 'bar', but the price can sometimes vary as in Lush they sell their products at a price according to the weight. *This is one most products and not all of them, such as Lip Balms and box sets and some other items will be sold at a fixed price.
What is the packaging like?
It is a Lush product, so thats right, you've guessed it, no packaging!
They sometimes, however, give you a little yellow papere bag which you can pop it in or a clear, small plastic tub. There are tins in there that you can buy to put your soaps in and each time you go in the store you just take this along with you!
If youbuy it in the candy christmas box set then it will come packaged loosely in 'fake popcorn' in a brown carboard box which is present beautifully in wrapping paper, ribbon and a little bell!
What does it look like?
It is a hardish soap that is in a paleish bright pink with stars and glitter piece in it! It is around the size of a normal camera, or sometimes a bit bigger.
However it changes each year so we are always in for a surprise!
I love this! From the moment I picked it up I could smell the lovely fruity, yet sweet smell!
This is more of a bath product then a shower product in my eyes, so before I get in the bath I just drop it, it stays solid and doesn't dissolve so this is perfectly ok. This makes the bath go glittery and sparkly which is very pretty and sparkly which is why I love yto use it on christmas eve. It also makes the bath water softer on your skin and more moisturising, especially as I am prone to dry skin and exzema.
To use you can either rub it on your body or lather up in an exfoliater or sponge, either way it releases this lovely smell, that to me is a mixture betwen pineapple, straberries and candy floss, which smells really good!
It is meant to smell like jelly babies and although it does a bit, I like it as it doesn't smell as sweet as them and is based more upon the fruitier smell of jelly babies!
Once you have worked up a creamy lather on your skin you can really feel it working and as it has glittery pieces in it it leaves your skin with a beautifully sparkly finish. I thought that this would provoke or irratate my exzema, but it done none of the sort which I was very pleased about!
I always rinse off with the shower, which tends to get rid of the glitter on the skin, but upon getting out of the shower yoy can still smell it on your skin. I normally put the bar of soap in a little dish or bowl on the side or the bath or on the cabinet as it can get stuck to the bath if you put it on there alon and leave a pink, reactangular mark on the bath, if you forget, don't worry as it will rub off with a bit of scrubbing!
I normally always moisturise after baths or showers, even after using Lush products, even though in most cases you don't need to, but for some unknown reason I forgot and as you'd expect with lush products my skin stayed soothed and soft!
The smell stayed on me, which was the part I LOVED about this until the next day when I bathed/ showered again!
It lasts me around 3 months depending on how often I use it which I think is very good value as it is only just over £2, which is less than £1 a month!
Overall I'd highly reccomend this and giving it the highly deserved 5 stars! I will definitley return and buy another one! I love the softness of my skin after use and the lovely smell, I also love the fact that it doesn't provoke or irritate my exzema!
I will probably even be buying it for some people asa christmas present, as it is one of the limited edition christmas ones and makes a really nice gift along with a bath bomb or something from LUSH, of course!
The only down side I can think of is that you can unfortunatley only buy it around christmas time and I may just buy a few this year to last me the whole year. Like all Lush products though they do have a use by date, but this is normally a year, or just over or under so I should be ok!
I'd dry it if you are prone to dry and flaky skin or just want a real treat! Worth every penny!
Out fruity, sparkly special hand and body soap tones and twinkles your skin to make you feel like an angel, even if you haven't been behaving like one / Its fruity scent has been likened to Jelly Babies / Each yearit looks slightly different but smells just as gorgeous / get yur slice off this year's batch /
