Advantages: smells lovely, great results
Disadvantages: maybe a bit expenisive but in my opinion worth it
I recently took a little trip into Belfast, which is my most convenient Lush sore and decided while catching a big lovely whiff of Lushness when passing by the shop to go in and have a little look in store.
I was having a little look around and came across the Buffy The Backside Slayer body butter bar, and thought it smelt lovely, having finished using my King Of Skin body butter bar and having great results with it, I thought that I would give this product a try, just for a change.
What is it?
Lush Buffy Body Butter is of course a body butter that can be used on the skin before showering, to use it you simply rub it onto your skin and then rub any excess butter in, this is really easy to rub into your skin as it as it melts into it quite easily as you are using it.
When applying this bar, you can feel the rough bits of ground rice and almonds which are really great to treat dry skin and exfoliate and the cocoa butter and shea butter have a good moisturising effect on the skin.
This product is targeted for you rear and thigh areas, which is where cellulite mostly creeps up and develops, which can be a real pain when you are looking to get into your short skirts and dresses, I wouldn't say I have a lot of cellulite, but have a little on my thighs and would like to combat it earlier in life before it begins to become a problem, after about 3 months of using this I have noticed my thighs are much more , I have also started using this on my hands where I seem to get a lot of dry skin and have been getting really good results.
The Buffy Body Butter smells amazing, like most of the Lush products I have tried. It's smell is quite nice, there is a nutty and very slightly chocolatey smell that comes from it, it smells very clean though in my opinion I prefer the Kind Of Skin body butters scent.
When washing it off I have found it is good to smooth the residue left from this bar into your skin, and when I am finished I simply dried off with a towel and my skin was left lovely and soft and moisturised. This body butter had just as good of an effect on my hands (as a moisturiser) as it did on my thighs, so it was a really good all round product.
You can only buy Buffy in Lush stores and it costs £5.50 per 90g, I used my Buffy once a week in the shower for 4 months so far, and still have just under half of it left, so I think that this is actually a good deal, even though it doesn't look like you are getting much when you are handed the bar in the shop.
An added extra plus about using this product is that Lush only use naturally sourced ingredients in their products and they are manufactured, packed and stored in an ethically friendly way, so you know there aren't any harmful extra chemicals in this body butter and also that it hasn't been tested on animals and is environmentally friendly.
