Lush Business Time Massage Bar
Advantages: One Of The Cheaper Bars, Smell, Soft Skin, Feel Relaxed
Lush Cosmetics offer a wide range of massage bars - I think there is around ten in total. I really wasn't sure what to expect from them and I just didn't think they would be that impressive but I thought I would give it a shot after hearing so many good things about them. I visited a Lush store to find that many of them were £5 or higher and I thought this was quite expensive because the majority of the massage bars are about the size of the palm of your hand, apart from a couple of really small ones. I picked up Business Time. *Please note that it no longer looks like the image displayed in the picture above. It is now in the shape of a detective man with a cloak and hat on, just incase you are unable to find it*.
I was instantly drawn to this one because of its price - at the time (Nov.09) I picked it up for around £3.80 but the price has increased now to £4.10. The lady in the store said that I could get quite a number of uses out of it so I brought it this one as I was happy with the price and the smell.
I picked up this bar to put into one of the bags before going to pay and the first thing I noticed was how slippery it was, as it nearly dropped out of my hands. This bar is seriously loaded up with shea and cocoa butter to help skin become more soft...a little too much perhaps. Nevertheless, I really loved the smell of it which is shea and cocoa butter, almond and coconut oil as well as rose, fennel and lavender which you can not smell as much.
All you have to do to use this bar is rub it all over your body to massage it into your skin. Your skin will then soak in all of the oils and butter within it. It's best to use the massage bar once your skin is mildly damp after a shower or bath. So, when I use my bar I do it straight after I've had a bath. At first I wasn't particularly impressed but once you have rubbed it a couple of times you can see the oil and where abouts you have massaged. It was really relaxing and felt amazing on my skin. It really helped me to chill out. The only downfall was that the butters did make it very slippery so I dropped it a couple of times! I have repurchased this bar and I'd say that if you are massaging your whole body, you could probably get about 4 to 5 uses out of this which is really could so all in all you are only paying £1 for each usage.
The results after use were incredible. Unfortunately, the only thing I disliked about it was that it was just so sticky on my skin, therefore do not use loads of the massage bar or your skin will stick on to clothes and it's not particularly nice. It also felt oily for quite a few hours and I didn't enjoy this. However, on to the positive things...my skin felt amazing! It was so soft to touch once it had soaked in all of the rich butter goodness. As well as this, the scent just lingered on my skin all night and it was amazing. Something about the shea butter smell is so delicious and other people did notice my smell also. The best time to use the massage bar is just before bed because it really helps you feel relaxed and chilled out. I applied mine and got into bed with a cup of tea, trust me it's so worth it! Your body just seems to drop and it's the perfect thing to use after a stressful day.
Overall, apart from the slippiness, this is an amazing massage bar from Lush. I haven't tried all of the others, however I've tried a couple and this has proven to be the most effective for me purely because of how great it left my skin feeling! Thank you for reading.
