Advantages: Cheap, smells really nice, fizzes for a while in the bath, and very moisturising
Disadvantages: Scent did not last as long as I would have liked
Butterball Bath Ballistic
I LOVE lush it is one of my favorite stores EVER! (hence the capital letters). I bought this when the store in the arndale had just opened and I needed to spend £20 and I saw this and I remembered all of the great reviews on it, so I bought it.
*About the bath bomb*
Firstly I don't know why they call them ballistics, so I will call them bath bombs instead. I had seen this before but I had not really been bothered with it as it is just a creamy white colour and it did not look that interesting, when compared to the other brightly coloured glitter filled bath bombs next to it.
But I had to spend £20 and I thought why not and also it said that it was very moisturising as it had cocoa butter in or something like that. They come in 95g balls which may seem like a lot for a bath bomb but it is just right.
*Ingredients*
Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid, Cocoa Butter, Synthetic Musk, Ylang Ylang Oil, Perfume.
The only ingredients that are not natural are the perfume, synthetic musk and the sodium bicarbonate, but the others are natural. And to be honest I think it would be very difficult to make something that it made from completely natural ingredients - and it make it had a long expiration date too!
*Using the bath bomb*
I used this the night before I went on my cruise and it was really nice. I don't usually use bath bombs but I would so buy this one again! It made the water change to a kind of milky/creamy colour and it also gave off a lovely scent that to me is similar to the horlicks malt drink.
I think it would be really good if you have trouble sleeping or just to use it before bed, but it didn't help me sleep as I was too excited about the holiday and getting ready to go!
The only thing that I didn't like too much about it was that it left all small bits of what looked like lavender pieces (the purple/dark coloured flower bits) all over the bath, but it was easy to wash away, so it is not really a negative.
Conclusions
Good points
*Scent stayed in my bathroom for a while - but not as long as I wanted as it is really nice!
*Malt/horlicks kind of scent which is really nice
*left my skin super moisturised, soft and smooth
*The scent stayed on my skin for a while - but again for as long as I wanted
*Mostly natural ingredients
*Also has a sweet/floral scent to it as well
*Only £2.25 each!
Bad points
*Scent did not last as long as I would have liked
*Left bits in the bath - but easy to wash away
Thank you for reading my review
Summary: A great bath bomb - well worth a try! :)
