I'm a huge fan of the shop Lush and have enjoyed trying all of their new Christmas products this year. Among the old favourites brought back for the festive season, a number of new products came out. One of these was the Candy Mountain bubble bar.

In previous years a Candy Cane bubble bar has been a staple of the Christmas season. Now, however, Candy Cane is a soap and so the Candy Cane bubble bar has been given a bit of a makeover. It is still pink and white, but is in a different shape - a tapered lump rather than a round-cornered rectangle - however it still has the same delicious sweet candy smell, which is the same as the Creamy Candy bubble bar.

Candy Mountain was inspired by the mounds of candy available in New York sweetshops at Christmas time. It contains vanilla absolute and perfume which create the sweet, creamy, vanilla based scent. The bubble bar is suitable for vegans.

I know from experience that only half a bubble bar is needed in any bath, so I chopped it in half using a knife and put the other half away. To produce the most bubbles, it's best to crumble the bar under the running water, so this is what I did. I found that absolutely loads of bubbles were produced. Also, the water turned a lovely light pink and the delicious sweet scent pervaded the whole bathroom.

I really enjoyed my bath: the pink water felt silky-soft, the bubbles lasted ages and the scent was strong. When I got out of the bath, I didn't need to use much moisturiser and the scent lasted on my skin for ages.

At £2.35 this bubble bar is one of the cheapest available and is really good value for money. I recommend picking one up in the sales, but if you're too late, I recommend the Creamy Candy bubble bar which is available all year round and has the same delicious sweet scent.
