Advantages: gorgeous colour, feel soft after bath

Disadvantages: perhaps having to get rid of the glitter from the bath afterwards

After working my way through some of the majority of my Lush purchases in around a week I felt I had best pick up a few more to try! One of the products I picked up on my second visit to Lush at the Trafford Centre was the Dragons Egg bath ballistic.

The dragons egg ballistic grabbed my attention as it seemed quite a large ballistic, white with bits of coloured confetti in it. Although I knew it was likely to create a rather messy bath it looked appealing and so I picked one up. It cost £2.95 and it is 200g.

Having just checked the lush website for ingredients I learned that the bath ballistic has lemon oil in which is known to tone and be quite uplifting and refreshing. It also has Bergamot oil which is a natural anti depressant and thought to give mental clarity. I didn't check any of this out in the shop but it sounds like a good combination to me!

I have literally just had a bath using this bath ballistic so as I type my hair is wet and in a towel but I wanted to get it all down before I forgot!

When I added the ballistic to the water it began to fizz immediately and I noticed bits of coloured confetti spreading into the bath. After a short while the ballistic began fizzing orange into the bath which I believe is meant to look like a dragon's fire! Soon the whole bath was a tangerine orange colour with bits floating around in it. The smell of the citrus was really noticeable and pleasant.

When I got in the bath I felt that the water felt quite soft and silky on my skin which is nice. When I use an expensive product I do expect it to give me soft skin, or something equally pleasant as I feel it helps justify the cost.

As you stay in the bath a while the coloured confetti loses its colour and turns into a kind of translucent gel type thing. As these all began to fade away I noticed lots of gold sparkles in the water. I hadn't noticed this until towards the end of the bath but there is also golden glitter in this ballistic too.

When I got out of the bath I have to say my skin did feel quite nice and soft and I have lots of little sparkles which just catch the light every so often so I think this might be a nice bath ballistic to use before a night out if you like a slightly sparkly touch.

I would definitely purchase this bath ballistic again as it offered a really nice bath with the added bonus of a bit of sparkle at the end! Beware though, the glitter really lingers in the bath once all the water has gone!
