Advantages: Dissolves slowly, smells great, leaves skin feeling soft
Disadvantages: Pricey and not enough glitter
Lush is only a shop that I venture in to if I really want to treat myself as I don't like paying through the nose for bath products i'd rather pick up a cheap bottle of radox in order for me to relax in the bath but a few months ago I decided to go into Lush with a strong will that I would only purchase a few goodies. It is hard to resist the sparkly, glittering, shiny wrapping and I end up wanting to buy everything as everything smells so good! After being in the store for a few moments I was approached by a member of staff who asked if she could assisst me, usually i'd decline but when it comes to Lush the staff usually know what they are talking about. I informed the staff member that I was in search of a bath bomb or bubble bath which looked pretty, smelled gorgeous and wouldn't dissolve immediately straight away she pointed towards the Dragon egg bath ballistic.
From the outside the bath bomb looks quite simple. It is spherical in shape and the colour can be described as a flesh coloured/off-white/pink/peachy colour with purple/red/peach spots. On first sight I wasn't convinced that this would be the bath bomb for me as it didn't look overly attractive or girly which is what I was originally looking for, however, the staff member reassured me that I would not be disappointed with it once it was in my bath.
I couldn't wait to try the bath bomb out so I used it the very same night that I purchased it. I only dropped the bath bomb into the water when I was actually in the bath and immediately it began fizzing and dissolving. The dissolving process was slow as I was promised by the shop assisstant and there was a fizzing sound coming from the bath bomb but it wasn't distracting and I could still relax in the bath.
The water turned orange and red within minutes which was pleasant, also the smell was very strong. It was very fruity and predominantly citrus smelling which was too very pleasant and soothing. The bubbles that came from the eroding bomb were very smooth and silky and it created a silky foam on the surface of the water which left my skin feeling very soft.
The only downside to this bath bomb was the glitter, there wasn't enough glitter and the glitter that did come from the bomb stuck to the bottom and sides of the bath which was slightly inconvenient and I had to scrub the bath clean afterwards!
Overall, I would recommend this bath bomb for the soothing effects and the softness that my skin felt afterwards. It was £2.99 for 200g which is reasonable for Lush!
