Lush Honey Bee Ballistic
Advantages: Smells gorgeous, softens skin and makes it feel much brighter and pretty cheap.
After a very long and busy day at work, I decided I would treat myself to a Lush bath, as there is nothing that makes me feel more relaxed, and I decided to try something abit different, and saw the Honey Bee bath bomb, which looked really nice, and got my pen name in, so defiantly had to try it! I had a suspicion I would be disappointed by Lush!
The Honey Bee bath bomb is a round ball, which is about the size of a cupped hand, and the bomb is a bright yellow colour, with a light brown stripes across it. The bath bomb is very attractive, as the colours are bright and vivid, and looks very summery, looks perfect for a summer bath! Lush have stated that the Honey Bee is a "soothing, cleansing soak" and it provides a "deep cleanse and soften your skin". Also there are several ingredients, most of which are natural and the bath bombs are not tested on animals, which is a big advantage for me, as I don't want products to be tested on animals.
To use the bath bomb, I begin to run my bath, and then place the bath bomb under the hot water tap, and it begins to dissolve. The bath bomb should be dissolved by the time your bath is full. I put my bath bomb in the bath after I've run abit of the bath, as it gives a much stronger colour to water and keeps any smells for longer, for a weaker colour you cant put the bath bomb in straight away. The colour of the bath was really pretty once it had dissolved, the bath water was a really bright, and I'm abit of a sucker for coloured water, but was nice, but not really essential!
Honey Bee had a rather strong smell when it was in bath bomb state, it was sweet and smelled really like honey, which I adored, as I love sweet smells, and it wasn't too OTT perfumed, which always give off a fake smell, but the Honey Bee smelt really natural. For those who aren't a fan of strong smells, the Honey Bee does fade out quite a lot when it's dissolved in the bath, it does smell of honey, but it is much more toned down.
After the bath, I noticed that my skin felt really soft, which was caused by the honey and the Moroccan Rhasssoul mud, which is an ingredient which helps improve skin's softness. The softness caused by the Honey Bee bath bomb lasted most of the day, which is a big positive as my skin felt soft and pampered all day, almost like I came from a spa treatment! My skin also felt cleansed, which mean my skin was fresh and felt bright, the best advantage in my opinion.. The effects on my skin lasted all day aswell.
I would recommend the Honey Bee to anyone, as it is a relaxing and natural experience, it calms and helps skin, as it softens skin and helps cleanse, buff and brighten skin. And even if your skin is perfect it's just fun to have a relaxing and gorgeous smelling bath!
Honey Bee is only available at Lush stores and online (www.lush.co.uk) and costs £2.95 per 200g, which is one bath bomb.
Summary: A sweet treat that doesn't rot your teeth!
