Limited edition bubble bar from Lush

A few weeks ago, my favourite store Lush held a forum party - these are fun occasions where limited edition products are made available to buy over the phone and you can take part in games and chat on the Internet forum. The parties are publicised on Lush's Facebook page and it's possible to buy the products on the website for a few days afterwards too. This was no ordinary party - it was a party to celebrate Lush Online's tenth anniversary at their current premises. Therefore, one of the limited edition products was produced to mark the occasion. The I Am 10 bubble bar was designed to resemble one of those badges you get on birthday cards for children. It was round and bright red with 'I Am 10' written on it in white: a simple design but an eye-catching one. It was priced at £3.10 and was suitable for vegans, best of all it was scented with the American Cream fragrance! I love this scent, which is a bit like strawberries and cream, and was gutted when the Flosty Gritter bubble bar was discontinued a while back, so I was really glad that this was being released. Clary sage, sweet vanilla and lavender make a fruity, sweet, warming scent that is cheery and comforting. I ordered two of these bubble bars and when I received them I thought they seemed reasonably large - they were circular and comparatively flat, however, rather than the more rounded bubble bars such as Sunnyside. I normally cut my bubble bars into two, but decided to cut these into four so I could experience more American Cream baths! I crumbled a quarter of a bubble bar into the running water, as this is the best way to create loads of bubbles. The water turned a lovely bright red colour and lovely white bubbles were formed. I didn't get as many bubbles as normal, but I imagine this is because I only used a quarter of the bar - I'm sure that if I'd used half I would have had just as many bubbles as usual. The delicious American Cream scent wafted round the entire bath and was surprisingly strong considering I'd used so little product. The smell lasted throughout my entire bath and was nice and relaxing. The water felt silky-soft too and I thoroughly enjoyed my bath. Afterwards, I noticed that I could still smell the American Cream scent on my skin, though not as strongly as in the bath. My skin hadn't experienced any irritation, but it wasn't moisturised and I did need to apply body butter afterwards. I imagine this is because the product contains no shea butter or other moisturising ingredients. Overall, I really liked this bubble bar. It turned the water a lovely colour and smelled delicious. I thought it was reasonable value for money, particularly as it's possible to get four baths from one bubble bar. I don't think I Am 10 is available online any more, but if you phone Lush they may have a few more in stock. Alternatively you may have some luck on eBay - watch out for some sellers charging crazy prices though!
