As many of you already know I am a massive fan of lush products and I endeavour to try every product they make, I think they are an outstanding company with fantastic ethics and morals and an inspiration to everyone, I hope one day to see other companies following suit with regards to using natural organic ingredients and an inspiring approach to going green and using the motto to re-use and recycle as much as possible as lush do.

The company began over 20 years ago when the team who are still together today made and produced products containing natural ingredients for the Body Shop and this was so successful they decided to launch their own mail order company called 'Cosmetics to Go' in the uk ,but Lush was officially launched in May 1995.

The Lush name actually came about later and was the result of a competition held in their very first news letter, Lush grew into a massive international company on reputation alone and is loved by millions, and it produces its handmade natural organic products from only a few factories around the world and employs people and not machines.

Lush is the ONLY company which uses 'REAL' Jasmine Absolute Perfume in it's products and this is a substance considered more expensive than gold!

Being such a huge fan of lush I like nothing better than being able to share some of my products and experiences with my family and friends which I often do, I love that lush produce natural products designed especially for children, or I should say products which are suitable for children because having tried them myself they are also wonderful little treats for everyone to enjoy, I do however love that I can share my beloved lush products with my beloved children.

My most recent purchase is the Ickle Baby Bot which was bought from the Leeds Lush store.

"A relaxing robot full of chamomile and lavender for successful sleepy-times"
(Lush Times newsletter)

This product is specifically aimed at children and babies because of it's sleep inducing properties of lavender, chamomile and sandalwood which are known to gently soothe and calm the mind, body and soul as well as soothing and calming any itchy bits, it is such a gentle product it can be used for babies and young children alike for a novelty bath time treat which has a secret weapon... it 's combined aroma of essential oils and it's soothing effectiveness results in induced tiredness to encourage relaxed natural sleep.

Chamomile is one of the most gentle of essential oils which makes it an ideal addition for products designed for use on children and those with extra sensitive skin, it has fantastic anti-bacterial properties that is known and trusted to soothe irritated skin, chamomile has been used for years by aroma- therapists for it's ability to soothe and calm bruises, allergies, and to help ease stress and aid relaxation.

This Ickle Bot measures about 4 inches in height and is an inch thick, it is light baby blue in colour and solid, chalky, but easily crumbled and broken, it has a lovely light scent of Lavender.

I split this bot in half to get two uses from it, it broke in half very easily and once dropped in the bath it fizzed away and dissolved quite quickly leaving a nice deep turquoise froth on the surface until the water was swished and colour dispersed, the water turned an appealing baby blue colour and smelt amazingly calming of gentle lavender, I thought the scent was quite subtle compared to other ballistics but this one's designed for children so I expected it to be a lot milder.

The slight subtle scent filled the house and lingered for a few hours, the scents in the bath lasted the whole length of the bath (around 30-45 mins), the water felt silky soft, and soothing, no greasy surface residue or bits, the ballistic completely dissolved.

The skin felt soft and moisturised after the bath and did soothe and tone down a red patch of eczema I have on my knee which is usually really itchy during the night, after this bath I had no urges to itch it, the lavender scent lingered on my body all night and I could still smell it lightly the following morning.

There was no powdery residue in the bottom of the bath or around the bath tub after use.

*** MY THOUGHTS***

I think this is a lovely relaxing product which is a great treat for children and has multi purpose uses as it does actually induce a feeling of sleepiness and calmness, perfect for getting children ready for bed time in a fun way which is beneficial to them and definitely effective.

It can be enjoyed I think by anyone and everyone so is not just restricted for use as only a children's product, I think this product would help anyone who is having bouts of insomnia or feeling a little under the weather, has irritated eczema prone or dry skin because it is very soothing so I would definitely recommend for that.

The price of £1.85 I think is good value for money even though this product is a lot smaller than most other products, I tend to get two baths from this ballistic by snapping the robot clean in half when using it for myself but in the past I have got four baths from this bar when used just for the children as a smaller amount is just as effective when used in a smaller bath which children generally tend to have.

I think this ballistic is a fun concept which allows us 'grown up's' to share our lush experiences with our children knowing that they will be safe and that they are just as beneficial for them as they are for us, my children definitely appreciate how important my lush bath time experiences are now they have their own.

It would be nice to see a mummy or daddy full sized bot.

I have rated this Ickle Baby Bot Lush Ballistic 5 out of 5
