Lush Icon Soap Bath / Shower

Product Type: Lush Bath / Shower

Description:Manufacturer: Lush / Type: Soap / Icon is one of those deep, dark fragrances which is made with the most deliciously heavy essential oils with a light airy note of orange blossom dancing lightly on top. Imagine it scenting a Venetian palazzo upholstered in ... more

Lush Icon Soap ... purple crushed velvet with dark portraits framed in gold leaf, the pungently scented darkness only broken by flickering candles. Theres something Byronesque about Icon; you could imagine it worn by dissolute young men staying up late to write poetry, and by their languid mistresses. Icons fragrance warms on the skin, many deep, heavy layers build up to make the whole scent, with light, high notes barely touching the skin. Then we put it in a deep purple soap! It shouldn't be allowed.

... this was totally overboard and decided at first to leave it but a few weeks later I noticed the soap was on offer at a mere £5 per 100g bar so I made my move and I am ever so glad I did. This soap has the most beautiful rich and pure scent, it is somewhat floral but it has a sort of citrusy undertone and it actually smells like a perfume rather than a soap. The scent transfers perfectly to the skin and lasts well too. The soap is a hard block soap that does not go soft and lasts for ages, in fact it never seems to go d...more

Lush Icon Soap: Lush has made me an Icon! (292 words)

The only time I ever buy solid soaps is when Lush brings out something I just cannot resist buying, other than that I prefer the more hygienic liquid soaps from pump dispensers. Lush Icon soap was a block soap that I was definitely tempted by because it had the most beautiful pure scent but when I saw that a 100g bar was going to cost me £11 the temptation eased somewhat. Lush products are never cheap but I thought this was totally overboard and decided at first to leave it but a few weeks later I noticed the soap was on offer at a mere £5 per 100g bar so I made my move and I am ever so glad I did. Spicey and sparkly (282 words)

Let me just say that I didn't actually buy this soap I went in and asked for a sample, because the price for this is £11.50 for a mere 100g!!!!!!! It smells of oranges, bergamot and sandalwood, very spicy and intense. It is deep dark purple in colour and it has a golden sparkly sheen which when you use it rubs off on your skin. I personally used it before an evening out because it gave me a nice glow and the smell really enhanced the perfume I was wearing - Hypnotic Poison. It is quite firm in texture but it did break very easily, however I only had a tiny wafer thin piece so a larger bar may hold together a bit better. There was not much lather ...  Read the complete review

Lush Icon Soap: The Soap of Old Movies (493 words)

This is the most expensive soap/bath product I have ever bought ! Retailing at £11.50 for 100g from Lush its just ridiculously expensive. I personally paid around £7 for it as I bougt it on Ebay and that is alot to pay for a bar of soap, there is no way would have EVER bought it from Lush for its full price. And the only reason I paid £7 was curiosity - what could be so marvellous about a soap that its worth £11.50 ? This soap is called Icon and it is a very deep purple colour, it is from the Retro Lush range, which also adds to its price, because Retro Lush can be bought only from the Lush website, where you are charged nearly £4 in postage even if you buy ...  Read the complete review
