“ Brand: Lush / Bar / Type: Massage Bar „
I got this bar as part of a gift bag I got from a friend but I saw that this is currently being sold for £3.43 on the Lush website and in their shops. I personally would not have bought this for myself as I saw one of the sales girls in the shop once and she was just covered in blue see through glitter which looked a bit OTT for me.
As it smells quite nice though I thought I'd give it a go. If I really hated it I could always give it to my little sister who won't mind these type things as she's still a teen.
The massage bar is a round, bug shell like shape and has the blue sparkly bits all over it. The main ingredients are cocoa and shea butter, neroli, vanilla and rose oil and the blue iridescent sparkles. The sparkles are quite large in my opinion as I'm quite used to the fine glitter which I prefer to wear on a night out.
The scent of this product is quite pleasant and it's quite easy to melt in and rub all over your skin. One thing I would say is that you need to apply this in a room with good lighting as it's so easy to apply a bit too much and that's really not the look I'm going for. I also find that the sparkles tend to go everywhere, which is a bit of a pain!
I wouldn't buy this for myself nor would I use it again. (I've decided to give it to my little sis) as it's so messy and overly glittery with chunky blue glitter. So, it's not really my thing though I do think the scent is nice and it makes my skin feel very soft.
I Bought this bar & also shimmy shimmy to take with me on holiday this year. It was the annual girly holiday to gran canaria & great place to try out all things shiny.
It was really easy to use, after having a shower when your skin is nice & warm just rub this bar on the bits you want to glow, and you end up with a blue iridescent sheen. Its first feature is as a moisturizing bar & as its made from cocoa & shea butter it certainly does that job well. Just thing your skin needs after a day in the sun! It also has a lovely smell & reading the blurb in my Lush mag it contains neroli, rose & vanilla oil.
One warning though, I got a bit over zealous with this on my last days of the hols & in the fake light of my hotel bathroom put on way too much, i looked like an extra from star trek when the light shone on me! I quick rub down with the hotel towel took some of the glitter off, but i still was a bit over the top. A few beers sorted out the embarrassment factor though!
price: 2.95 but worth every penny this bar lasted 2 months and that was me using it every weekend. First of all you heat the bar by cupping it in your palm then you just rub it on your arms, legs anywhere you want to glitter!! This bar has 3 benefits firstly it leaves you glittering all over, it also has a wonderfull smell and it moisturises aswell. I love using this bar when I am going on a night out or when I have a special occasion. You can use it lightly during the day for a slight shimmer and more at night when you really want to glitter on the dance floor.
It doesn't only make your skin glitter; it moisturises it with cocoa butter and shea butter and scents you with the reviving smell of clary sage; a herb with a reputation for helping you to see clearly /
