Advantages: Smells lovely, lots of bubbles
Disadvantages: Muddy brown bath water
After not having a bath in my house for three years (don't worry we did have a shower!!) when we had a new bath room fitted my first port of call was Lush so I could try out some of their famous bath ballistics and bubble bars.
I must have looked a bit lost trying to decide which ones to buy as one of the lovely assistants came over and was asking me what smells I liked. Once I'd told her she made a few suggestions to me and let me try out a few of the ones I'd shortlisted.
Unusually for me I wasn't immediately drawn to all the pretty pink glittery ones. The one that caught my eye or should I say nose was quite dull in comparison.
I wanted Ma Bar, this was one of the bubble bars the assistant had let me play with by tipping water from one jar to another in order to get the bubble bar to work.
As I've said it's not the prettiest with it's chocolate brown and cream colours with a lump of brown sugar in the middle, Ma Bar isn't perhaps quite as aesthetically pleasing as some of the other bubble bars Lush sell but the scents that wafted out of the water more than made up for this.
The chocolate brown side is cocoa and the cream is honey toffee. Once the bubble bar hits the water you get a lovely aroma of chocolate bars. It makes you want to eat chocolate once you smell it.
It also turns the bath water a muddy brown colour, but once you're in and enjoying the smell you can get over this. I find that my skin feels really soft after using it as well.
How much of the bar you use is up to you, you can put a whole bar in the bath or half. Personally I cut mine into quarters and it still produces loads of bubbles and of course makes the bar last that little bit longer.
Ma Bar was orginally introduced by Lush as a limited edition for Mother's Day but it proved to be so popular they now sell it all year round (why can't they do this for Snow Fairy lol )
Ma Bar is available for £2.36 from Lush stores and their online shop. It is suitable for vegans.
