Lush Magic Wand Bubble Bar
Advantages: Smells of Snow Fairy, can be used several times
Disadvantages: Only available around Christmas,
I'm a huge fan of Lush's Snow Fairy shower gel, and knowing this my best friend always buys me a bottle of it for Christmas. This year as well as buying me the shower gel, this year she also bought me the Magic Wand bubble bar.
If anyone isn't familiar with the bubble bars from Lush, they are like bubble bath but in a solid form. You crumble them into the bath as it is filling and you get lots of lovely bubbles.
The Magic Wand bubble bar is a pink star on stick which looks a bit like a lollipop, there is a piece of pink string/ribbon with a small bell attached to it which is stuck inside the bar. It smells just like the shower gel, which is very sweet and just like candy floss.
My bubble came in a small paper bag which is how I have got bubble bars from Lush when I have bought them myself. There is a sticky label on the bag with instructions for use typed on it. It tells you to swish the wand around the bath again and again for lots of candy scented bubbles.
When I used it instead of swishing it around in the bath water, I decided I would snap off some of the pointy bits of the star. This way I could control exactly how much of it I could use.
Once I'd started running the water for my bath I crumbled the bits I'd snapped off under the tap. As the bar dissolved the water turned a very pretty shade of pink and lots of bubbles started appearing. The scent of Snow Fairy started to waft up from the water as well. Although not all of it seemed to dissolve completely.
I stayed in the bath for quite a long time as I'd taken my Kindle in with me (sssshhh don't tell my other half - he advised against this!!) and got quite absorbed in the book I was reading. While I was in the bath I found that most of the bubbles were still there, where as sometimes with liquid bubble baths they start to go flat and disappear after a while.
When I'd finished and dried myself off my skin felt quite soft and the scent of Snow Fairy lingered on me which is no bad thing in my opinion.
As this is part of the Lush Christmas range it isn't available at the minute so I can't find out how much it cost, but most bubble bars range between £2.50 and £4ish, as this is quite a large bar I'd guess it would be one of the more expensive ones.
If this is brought out again next Christmas I would definitely buy it for myself, and probably grab a few extras as stocking fillers.
Summary: Snow Fairy scented bubble bar
