“ Brand: Lush / Type: Bath Melt „
= = = = = = The Product = = = = = = I am reviewing a product called Marshmallow Moment which is a product from Lush. I recently treated myself to some Lush products after being very disappointed with most of the products I purchased from Bomb Cosmetics the other month. With a gorgeous sweet scent of dolly mixtures and candy floss, this product is popular with children of all ages. The gentle moisture-infusing ingredients are ideal for young, delicate or irritated skins. Apparently this product has the same scent as Lush's Snow Fairy shower gel and The Godmother soap, so if you like these product then you should like this one as well. Lush have used a powder made from the roots of the marshmallow herb, which was used in traditional medicine on cuts, abrasions and skin irritations, to help this melt into your bathwater. The Chamomile powder creates a calming infusion that's gentle on the skin and is relaxing, while marigold powder helps reduce redness and skin irritation. The product is round in shape and looks quite chunky. It's quite large at the bottom and gets slightly narrower towards to the top. It has a flat top and bottom to it. The product is a bright pink colour and smells divine, almost good enough to eat. It smells of sweet marshmallows and candy floss and I couldn't actually stop smelling the product it smelt so good. As I purchased the product from the Lush website it came sealed in a clear plastic wrapper with a label on the front stating what the product was. It also tells you a little about the product, how to use it and it also lists the ingredients as well. When you purchase this from a Lush store, it will probably be put into a paper bag. = = = = = = = = Price/Availability = = = = = = = = I purchased the product from the Lush website for £3.95 which is for a 100g of the product. You can also purchase this in Lush stores as well. I only purchased this form the website as I wanted to order a few other things from the website at the same time. = = = = = = = = = Using the Product = = = = = = = = = As this product is quite big you probably could cut it in half and use it for two baths; however they don't suggest doing this so I decided to use the product in one go. After running your bath they suggest floating the product on the top of the water for the ultimate, frothy, pink candy bathing experience. I dropped the product gently into the bath and it sunk to the bottom straight away and started fizzing away slowly and silently. Although they suggest floating the product on the top of the water in order to do this, you would need to hold it there and I didn't fancy bending over the bath for the next few minutes whilst it fizzed away. After about 4-5mins I went back and checked on the product. I could see that it was still fizzing slightly in the bottom of the bath. The water had now turned a light pink colour and the bathroom had a gorgeous scent of sweet candy floss. I reached into the bath and saw that there was only a little of the product left to finish melting so I carefully stepped into the bath. I relaxed in the bath for a good 10mins before washing myself. The water was soft against my skin and I could feel that the water contained butters. The water wasn't oily or greasy which is good. As I relaxed in the bath I took in the gorgeous scents from the product which I found nice and also relaxing. Although the bathroom was full with a sweet scent I didn't find it too sickly or overpowering, it was just right. The product had caused the water to go a little frothy which was nice as I was able to rub this over my skin. After relaxing a little longer in the bath after having a wash I pulled the plug out and patted my skin dry. After patting my skin dry I noticed that my skin felt slightly softer than it normally would if I hadn't of used this product. There wasn't a huge different to my skin but it did make it feel nice and smooth. My skin didn't smell sweet like the scent of the product but this didn't bother me anyway as I was going to apply moisturiser. The good thing about this product is that it was kind to my skin. I have sensitive skin and have a dry patch on the area behind my knee, but this product didn't irritate it at all. = = = = = = = = Overall Opinion = = = = = = = = I have to admit that I was really looking forwards to trying this product after the products I tried from Bomb Cosmetics were so disappointing. I did have high hopes of this product due to Lush being a popular and well-known brand. I also noticed that this product has lots of good reviews about it, so I was expecting it to be good. Although this product looks simple I love the bright pink colour of it which would appeal to a lot of people and also little girls. The bright pink colour is the first thing you notice about the product and then when I smelt the product I couldn't believe how good it actually smelt. The product has a gorgeous sweet scent that smells of candy and I found this scent absolutely divine. As soon as I opened the plastic wrapper that the product came in the sweet smell wafted out. The product does fizz away slowly in the bath unlike a bath bomb which tends to fizz away a lot quicker. Unlike the majority of the products from Bomb Cosmetics, this one filled the bathroom with a delicious candy scent. The scent may sound a little sickly to some but it actually wasn't overpowering and I didn't find it too sweet or sickly. I did find the bath relaxing and I found the water felt nice and soft against my skin. The froth which was created by the product felt nice against my skin and felt smooth and silky. I like that the scent of the product stayed smelling great all the time whilst I was in the bath. Although there wasn't a huge different to my skin it did make it feel soft and smooth. In terms of value I think the product is a little pricey but I would definitely purchase it again.
I LOVE Lush. The entire range is just gorgeous, and totally vegetarian! What could be better? I was offered one of these bath melts as a free gift when I visited my local Lush store. Later that evening, it was time for some serious relax-time! Cue glass of wine, magazine and soothing music! The scent of this little fella is just gorgeous, and it is so strong! I could still smell it for days after I used it! The water was dyed a wonderful shade of pink, but happily, my white bath was not! I have tried other brands of coloured bath melts in the past and have spent hours trying to get rid of the residue on the tub (and occasionally, on myself!) If I had to find a problem with this product, the scent is very, VERY sweet. It looks like a marshmallow, and smells like a marshmallow!! This might be a problem if you do not enjoy sugary things - or it could make you feel very hungry if you do!
Today I am reviewing the melting marshmallow moment from LUSH. So I bought this after christmas in LUSH and I was just perusing the bath bombs and then I saw all the bath melts on a shelf above. I hadn't tried any of the bath melts apart from the Mango one which I loved so I decided to buy this and test it out. LUSH is a company that makes all natural, handmade bath and body products. They have completely natural ingredients, no animal testing and eco friendly packaging. The products are availble online and in shops all over the UK, at a mid to high end price range. This product is part of their range of bath melts and costs £3.20. When I saw this product I actually thought it was a bubble bar as it does not have a melty texture like the you've been mangoed melt. The texture is chalky and that of a bubble bar. It is in a short cylindrical shape and is bubblegum pink with tiny sparkles. Using it ..... I ran a nice hot bath, unwrapped the melt and dropped it in the water when it had finished running. When it was in the water it started turning the water a milky pink that gradually got stronger into a bubblegum pink as it melted more. (The pink colour stayed there for my entire 40 minute bath.) The scent was nice, very sweet, very girly and it reminded me of pear drops !! The scent lingered in the bathroom too and it wasn't overpoweringly strong. When I got out of the bath my skin was so, so, so soft. It was amazing ! Literally my skin felt like silk !! You could smell a nice hint of the ssweetness on my body and it was just the right amount, not too much, not too little. I love this product so much and will definitely be buying it again. I can't stress how soft my skin was !!! It may be a little pricey for some of you but it's not something you use everyday, it is a little luxury so I think it is a nice thing to use in your bath every one in a while. Again, I highly recommend this product so get down to LUSH ladies, you know you want to !! If you want any more information on LUSH products go to www.lush.co.uk
Another product in the big pink Lush gift set that I received recently for my birthday was this Melting Marshmallow bath melt. I have used Lush products before but I was completely new to 'bath melts' and not entirely sure what their purpose was at first. The tag on the gift set had a brief description of the product on it but not much... so I went on the Lush website to read more about the Melting Marshmallow bath melt before using it. To use you crumble this bath melt into your bathwater and then get in, simple... at least that's what I thought. I tried to 'crumble' this but it was taking ages due to the size of the product and so I gave up and just placed the bath melt into the water and got in. It is not like bubble bars which crumble much more easily and quicker. Although i can't complain as I like how it slowly dissolved in the water whilst I was in. The sweet marshmallow smell hit me within seconds and kept getting stronger. The water was also turning pinker and pinker. It is a very girly bath melt! It took about 5 - 10 minutes to dissolve completely and as it didn't state anywhere that this created bubbles, I wasn't expecting any and so added a little of my own bubble bath when I first started running the bath. However, this bath melt doesn't just not create bubbles, it makes your existing ones disappear and so I wouldn't bother adding your own bubbles if you plan on using a bath melt. I don't usually use other products in my bath if I'm using a bath product from Lush, but as I love having bubbles so much I did on this occasion. Therefore if you love bubbles in your bath then I wouldn't recommend using this. I wasn't particularly bothered about the lack of bubbles myself though as after the bath melt completely dissolved it created a slight white foam on the water which felt lovely on my skin. I was quite surprised with the results as I wasn't expecting it to make my skin that soft, but it actually does, as well as making it smell gorgeous. It really does remind you of marshmallows, and if you are a fan of 'Snow Fairy' from Lush, then you will love this product too, as this has the same fragrance. My skin felt smooth and moisturised for hours after getting out the bath and the smell lingered around for a couple of hours. I loved this marshmallow bath melt for these reasons, as well as how pretty it made my bath look, despite the lack of bubbles. However, I probably won't be purchasing this, or any of their other bath melts often like I do with their bubble bars and bath bombs because I kind of get the same results from this as I do from Lush's bubble bars. The only difference being that obviously the bubble bars create bubbles! I believe they also make my skin feel smooth though and smelling nice, although the fragrance may not be as strong as that on the bath melt. This bath melt costs £3.60 for 100g from Lush which I do think is quite expensive as you only get one use out of it. I normally snap the bubble bars in half and still half is more than enough for one bath, but I am not entirely sure if half of a bath melt would do as good a job though. I probably won't buy this again by itself, but I wouldn't mind if I got one in a gift set again.
I bought this bath melt last week and I can honestly say i'm in love! It's definetly going to be a regular in my Lush basket from now on despite the somewhat steep price tag, but the positives do outweigh this in my personal opinion. Per 100 gram bath melt will set you back £3.60, which sounds generous but in reality the bath melt isn't very big at all nor does it last long (unless you cut it into small chunks which I may try with my next one). I'd say it's around the same size of the palm of my hand. Shape wise it is sort of like a cube but rounded, it reminds me a bit of puddings that come in pots lol, it does look a bit like a cupcake but not quite. It's a cute baby pink in colour so probably not the best bath melt in Lush's range for men. You can definetly tell it is handmade as it is not very 'neat' if you know what I mean. Mine was not as big as it looked in the Lush picture and it wasn't the same shape (similar, but definetley not the same), which was a bit of a let down considering it's not excactly cheap for the amount of product you get. The bath melt comes with minimal packaging - simply a yellow paper Lush bag which can be recycled which is great. The bath melt is really easy to use, I simply put it into my full bath and immedietly it starting melting, with colour and liquid seeping from it into the surrounding water. The water started bubbling around 30 seconds after I put it into the water which were quite strong, large bubbles which was oddly entertaining to watch! The bath melt took quite a while to completely melt which was good because I felt I was getting my money's worth. By time the bath melt is around a quarter melted the water is baby pink in colour and really soft and it has that 'milky' feeling to it with a thick, creamy foam which is really nice to rub into your skin as it's so moisturising and smells great. The smell is extremely feminine so this definetly aimed at women rather then men. The smell is sweet and it definetly reminds me of cupcakes but it also has a fruity, sweet smell which was really pleasent and it fills the bathroom with the smell. If I had to compare the smell to any other Lush product it would definetly be Snow Fairy, but because of the musky undertone it's not quite as overpoweringly sweet, so I actually prefer this to snow fairy. While I was bathing in this the smell really relaxed me and made my skin feel smooth and soft. I was in the bath for much longer than usual savouring the smell! I have very dry skin which is quite sensetive so I was a little worried at first that this may irritate my skin as it is quite strong smelling but it didn't irriate my skin at all and made it feel much fresher, smoother and softer. It contains Cocoa butter which I am guessing is the reason why it is so moisturising. This is a really fun and pleasant bath melt to use and it really makes me feel better about myself because of the smell and the effect it has on my skin. It also leaves my bath and bathroom smelling lovely for a couple of hours afterwards which is also a bonus. It doesn't really linger on my skin though like I thought it would - when I am dressed I can't smell it on my skin at all. Overall I really like this product and would reccomend it.
I brought this bath melt alongside the noubar (which I have already reviewed) and this I ordered online and it came in a cardboard box packed with eco friendly packaging, there was no wrapper or anything else this product came in. Lush is a company that handmake products such as bath bombs, soaps, bath ballistics, bath melts, soaps ect and they are all against animal testing and evironmentally friendly. It is a truly lushoius shop/ online site where the products are at quite a premium price. So when this arrived as soon as I opened the box the smell of this ballistic instantly rose up and filled the room with this gorgeous sweet candy smell that instantly reminded me of my childhood sweet shops I use to visit, It also reminded me off a bubble gum I use to have when I was young called "bubaloo" the smell was enticing. Before I thought about using this in the bath I did use it in my clothes draw as it made my clothes smell lovely and sweet and for about a week it sat in my bathroom and the smell was amazing, I could even smell it whenever I walked past the bathroom. This is 100g and priced at an expensive £3.60 it is like a roundish chalky like texture and is a solid. It is a gorgeous girly pink colour so very eye catching. On lush website it describes this product as the following: This Slow melting musky marshmallow marvel. MMM melts into a pink, fluffy waterbed of marshmallow and moisturizing cocoa butter. Each Melting Marshmallow Moment is made with marshmallow herb, which produces a sweet, skin-soothing mucilage that was used to make sugar candies for hundreds of years, and marigold, which is equally calming for your skin. Now this isnt reccomended but because this smelt so nice my husband and my son decided to lick it to see what it tasted like lol needless to say it didnt taste as good as it smelt lol. So I had an evening planned to indulge in this bath melt and I ran my bath nearly to the top and I popped this bath melt into it when it was nearly ran. It started to melt very slowly and as it did it turned the water a milky pink colour which was quite nice. I did have to crumble some of with my hands as it was taking ages to dissolve lol when i touched it it felt funny like a crumbly chalk but softer (if you know what i mean lol) I was a bit dissapointed with the scent as it was so strong when it wasnt used I thought that would also remain whilst in the bath but no I could only just smell it on the bathroom. Ok this bit is just utter madness as I laid back and relaxed in the water my skin felt amazingly soft like it had never felt and as a busy mum of 3 I generally dont get time to relax in the bath and take some lazy routes on bath and beauty care regimes. So I just casually picked up my razor and started shaving my legs lol well I tell you something the razor just glided over my skin like it was silk! now some of us will know (women) that if you try and shave any area without soap/ shaving cream/gel that the razor will make a scratchy noise and you wont really be able to shave. well this didnt do any of that it was amazing, It worked wonders in all areas women shave, I couldnt believe it, its BETTER than using any shaving foam. So maybe not quite what everyone will want to do in this luxurious bath but definatly worth a go. The pinky milky colour stayed in my bath for the full half hour I was in there and it made my skin so soft I cant praise it enough, clearly very good natural ingredients. Sadly though the smell didnt evolve throughout my bath experience really. When I got out the bath I could smell a slight hint of the candy smell on me but nothing that would really be noticeable. My skin felt and looked amazing and my legs were literally shining, certainly a new experience for me. This marshmallow left no residue in my bath at all which was great and strangely the scent still king of lingered in my bathroom but disspeared off my skin about half an hour later. Even my husband commented on how soft and nice looking my skin was after my bath. As a treat I would definatly buy this again and again and I will be purchasing one again soon, Although as I used this bath melt whole as you wouldnt really be able to break it up I think it is a very expensive bath but certainly worth the money. I cant reccomend this enough to other people, you have to buy it to believe just how good it is and how enjoyable the bath experience is. So of course I will be giving this 5 stars as it is truly amazing. If you would like anymore information on this product or other lush products available please go to: www.lush.co.uk or visit a store near you.
If you have read my previous review on Lush product you will know I have a 'allergy' to the lush shop the smell of it is too overwhelming for for me it gives me a headache and the sneezys just walking past the shop I can't even venture in there, anyway someone gave me one of there other products as a gift and l loved it. So now I buy them online I get a treat and I don't have to venture in the store. They cost £3.50 for 100g which at a push lasts to baths. To look at the product its like a big pink marshmallow, though its not soft. It contains Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid, Cocoa Butter, Laureth 4, Almond Oil, Water, Chamomile Powder, Marshmallow Powder, Marigold Powder, Synthetic Musk, Benzyl Benzoate, Perfume, Colour 18050 so if your allergic to any of these ingreidiants best to avoid it. It smells a mixture of mashmallows and coconut I used half in my bath at the price of these things I like to make them last a little longer. I flake half into the bath which makes the water a light pink milkshake colour and gives of the sweet marshmallow smell as it hits the water it fills the whole room and flat with fragrance. I like sweet smelling things but I know some don't so it may not be right for you if thats the case. Don't expect lots of bubbles its not like that but it does make the water nice and soft and leaves my skin feeling moisturised this is down to the chamomile powder which is known for its soothing qualitys. A lovely bath fizzer which smells great and leaves your skin feeling smooth.
With my leftover birthday money - and by that I mean the few pounds that I didnt spend on clubbing and new clothes I decided to treat myself so as many Lush products as I could carry. So I decided to try products from across their whole range and this was one of those products. Now I had tried one bath melt in the past (Youve Been Mangoed) and I wasnt really very impressed by it so I hoped this one would be much better and thankfully I wasnt disappointed. Everything about this bath melt attracted me to it and it is definately a very girly product being bright pink and it looks exactly like a big, fluffy marshmallow so I thought this would be a wonderful addition to a relaxing bath. So this is the first product from my latest stash that I decided to try out. So later that night I ran myself a bath and I popped the whole of this bath melt into the water - now usually I try and get at least to baths out of one product but this one smelt so nice and looked so pretty that I decided to be selfish and use the whole thing for myself! And Im very glad I did because the results were amazing. As soon as you pop this into the water it starts to sort of melt and leaves a kind of white foam on the top of your bath which actually looks really luxurious and you can just tell from that, that this is going to be really good for your skin. This bath melt really does smell amazing. It smells a lot like one of those pink & white nougat bars but mixed with cocoa butter which as we all know is brilliant for your skin. The best thing is that the smell not only fills your whole bathroom with this gorgeous sweet scent but it lingers on your skin for ages afterwards. This is a very sweet scent so if thats not your cuppa tea then maybe stay away from this bath melt. This really does do wonders for your skin. As soon as you lie down in the bath you can feel how soft the water is and it instantly makes your skin feel softer and smoother. This does give your bath that added feel of luxury and it is an easy way to give your skin an instantly softer feel and I didnt even have to moisturise afterwards which is great I reckon. This definately makes for a really relaxing bath, I could have stayed in there all night and not only that but your skin feels fabulous afterwards. Who says that luxury has to cost the earth? This bath melt will set you back around £3.50 and it can be bought online on the Lush website or from any Lush store. Now that may sound a little expensive but this is a great product so I definately think its worth the money. Thanks For Reading x0 Salz 0x
What is Lush? Lush was formerly known as 'Cosmetics to Go' and quite appropriately changed it's named which I think suite it best because the only way to describe their products is they smell and look 'lush'. All the products are vegetarian and a lot are vegan. Nothing is tested on animals and they make sure every ingredient is sourced from companies that also do not test on animals. They support many charities and often do limited edition items to gain money for charities or campaigns. They make a lot of 'naked' products, which come with no packaging. Their bags, wrapping and even the stuff that comes in the boxes to protect gift sets are all made from recycled items and can be put in a composter or recycled. They are very much an ethically aware company. What is a bath melt? A melt is dropped into the bath while the water is running. It comes in a naked block form or wrapped in a muslin cloth. It immediately begins to flow around your bath and gradually melt to fill your bath full of fragrance and essential oils and ingredients which make your skin silky soft, moisturised and making your mood that oh so much better. They are more moisturising than ballistics and bubble bars as they are more compact. They can only be used once. How must does it cost? Mmm Marshmallow Melting Moment weighs 100g and costs £3.50. It resembles a solid pink marshmallow, hence the name! I store this product in my draw with my clothing, it keeps it from drying out and guarantees all my clothes will smell delightful! What makes Mmm Marshmallow Melting Moment special? This unusual shaped melt is so gorgeously girly with its pink colour. It has one of Lush's best selling scents, which is a combination of Snow Fairy shower gel and Candy Fluff. It smells like candy and marshmallows with a subtle musk undertone. It melts ever so slowly and turns the water a gorgeous pink colour. It contains Cocoa Butter which is one of natures best moisturisers which is guaranteed to give you silky soft skin. It also contains Marshmallow herb (not the sweet) which produces a sweet skin-soothing mucilage. It also contains Marigold which is said to calm your skin. This is perfect for sweet tooths and less calories too! My opinion This has always been a popular product in my Lush shopping basket. I love its girly colour and its sweet as candy scent. I feel fun and giggly bathing in a pink bath like I'm some diva! My skin always feel like silk after this product and the smell lasts for ages on your skin and even scents the whole bathroom as it melts. Its suitable for vegans too. Although it may seem expensive it is one little luxury I couldn't be without. No complaints here!
I purchased a Mmm Melting Marshmallow Moment last time I was in Lush, deciding to keep it for an occasion where I felt I deserved a little pampering... Lush's bath melts are expensive, and at £3.50 this one is no exception, but they're worth it for the occasional treat. The Melting Marshmallow Moment is identical in appearance to the Floating Island bath melt, although this one is pink. It contains marshmallow herb, marigold and cocoa butter to make your skin feel soft. The smell is delicious - just like marshmallow (doh!), and very sweet and girly. When I came to use the bath melt, one Sunday night when I knew I had a full day of lectures in the morning (sigh), I dropped it into the run bath and got in. The melt floated around for a bit, melting slowly (it did take a while), turning the bath a lovely shade of pink. The smell was weaker than in the solid bath melt, but was still discernible, and there were even a few bubbles. I had a lovely relaxing bath. When I got out, my skin did feel softer but I still had to apply moisturiser - this melt wasn't as moisturising as, say, the Butterball ballistic. However, the smell lingered on my skin for a good few hours, which was very pleasant! Would I buy this bath melt again? Definitely, it's lovely and luxurious, though I would like to try some more Lush bath melts too. However, because of the price it will have to be an occasional treat.
Having been unwell lately, I felt like I deserved a little pampering - and a few nice Lush-scented baths seemed like they'd fit the bill. I can't get to a Lush store easily so I ordered myself a package of bubble bars & bath melts online. The first one I was keen to try was the Melting Marshmallow Moment. Lush bath melts are unfamiliar products to me. By that I mean that I haven't used them before - I use Lush creams a lot, but I found that the Bath Ballistics irritated my skin (some old scar tissue that gets irritated easily, so I avoid sodium bicarbonate & essential oil bath products), so haven't tried the bath melts before now. However, I was hoping that the cocoa butter in the Melting Marshmallow bath melt would offset any possible irritant effects. Following the advice of other Dooyoo-ers, I cut the melt into four pieces and added two to my bath before hopping in. The melt is easy to cut - it crumbled slightly at the edges, but not too much. The pieces fizzed & dissolved easily, turning the water a murky pink & leaving a thin film of bubbles on top. The smell was gorgeous! Like marshmallows but stronger & sweeter. In the end I put the other two pieces in as well - I wanted to have as much of that smell as I possibly could, and half the melt just wasn't enough. After getting out of the bath, I was impressed at how long the scent lingered on my skin. It left just a light, gentle fragrance - I could smell it if I put my nose close & sniffed, but I didn't feel like I was wandering around in a cloud of scent. My skin didn't feel especially smooth & moisturised, but my scars weren't irritated. After I'd dried off, my back felt slightly itchy & greasy, though, so perhaps it didn't agree with my skin as well as I'd hoped it would. As a bit of a treat, this was lovely. The cost (£3.90) is more than I would want to spend regularly, although it's not outrageous. Lush have a "we believe" statement published on their website, and one element of this is "we have the right to make a profit". I admire this - I do believe that products should be priced reasonably & fairly, and that underpricing or severe cost cutting isn't in the best interests of the company or even the customers in the long run. I don't think the product is overpriced, just more expensive than I like to spend regularly. Others have mentioned cutting the melt into two, three, or even four pieces to make it go further - for me, this made the scent too dilute for the bath to be a real treat. So I'm happier with paying the full price as a once-off, occasional luxury, and using the whole thing at once. I don't take baths often, and I hate having half-products lying around. Overall, I really like the Melting Marshmallow bath melt. And even if it is a little pricey, it's cheaper than a day at a spa and completely calorie-free - so as far as treats go, it's great value.
After hearing a lot about Lush and their products on here, I decided to give them a go. My first order had 6 products in it, but it was very hard not to order them all! I have already tried The Joy of Jelly (which I have reviewed already) and this was the next one that I gave a go. My little one was whisked up to his grandparents for the weekend, my partner had gone out and with a quiet house, I thought it was a perfect time to give the Melting Marshmallow bath melt a go. ~What is Lush?~ Lush are not only a high-street retailer, but also an online retailer that are well known for their handmade cosmetics, using natural ingredients, and are also known for their lack of packaging to help the environment! So I would say that their products are very environmentally friendly! ~What do Lush say about their Melting Marshmallow Bath Melt?~ This has been copied directly from the Lush website: "Slow melting musky marshmallow marvel. Take your time, savour each moment and have as many marshmallows as you like." Now you can see why I ordered it!! It sounds lovely ... ~How to use~ From what I've read, the best way to add this product into the bath is to run it under the hot water tap, which melts it and then swirls around your bath. I know I probably shouldn't have, but I cut the bath melt in half as it is quite expensive, and I thought I should get at least 2 baths out of it! So, I ran it under the hot water tap, and it started melting straight away into the water. I found that towards the end of the bath melt, I had to crumble it with my fingers as well as holding it under the hot water tap. When it had all been added into the bath, I saw little lumps of the melt sitting on top of the water, but they melted within a few seconds. ~The smell~ From the moment I took the cling film off the bath melt, I could smell this really sweet candy smell (hence ... marshmallow!). At first I thought that maybe this product was a bit too overpowering for me, but I think its more because I have never come across a bath product before that smells delicious like this one does. After finishing my bath, I could smell the marshmallow on my skin and was very excited that I smelt so lovely (yet again, I got my partner to smell me! This makes sense if you have read my Joy of Jelly review...). When I got up in the morning, my bathroom still smelt of this bath melt, but I could no longer smell it on my skin. This might be because the fragrance has disappeared, or it might be because my nose has got used to the smell so no longer picks up the aroma (come on, it happens with perfume so why not bath products?) ~The important bit ..... my relaxing bath~ I was really excited after my bath had run and because I wanted to relax as much as possible, I went downstairs, made a cup of tea, grabbed my book and set off into the bathroom for some 'me' time! After walking away from the bathroom and coming back into the room, the smell once again hit me! So in I got. Every time I moved the wonderful aroma of candy started wafting again. I enjoed the bath so much because of its wonderful scent that I stayed in there for an hour and a half and had to keep topping up with hot water so I wouldn't get cold! I was a bit disappointed after about 20 minutes of being in the bath because all the bubbles had dissolved, but as long as the aroma was there, then I didn't mind. ~Will I use this again~ Definately! Not only am I planning to get some more for myself, I also plan to buy my mum some lush products for her birthday and think this would be an ideal one to add into a gift basket. Thinking about it .... I think I should get this for all my friends and familys birthday, well, the women anyway! ~Price~ This cost me £3.50 for 100grams. My first thought was that it was very expensive for use in just one bath, but if you cut the product in 2, then it doesn't seem as expensive. I have told the other half though to stay away from my Lush things (yes, he was eyeing them up one day!) as it is for a treat rather than an everyday bath product.
Another review from the Think Pink hatbox from Lush, I've nearly finished everything in there now (boohoo) and there are definately a lot of products that I'll be trying again and the Melting Marshmallow Moment Bath Melt is definately one of them! What Lush Say: "Slow melting musky marshmallow marvel. Take your time, savour each moment and have as many marshmallows as you like." Price: £3.50 for 100g is expensive! I will admit to being abit tight though and cutting this is half as it's pretty big. I'd never used one before so didn't know what the effects would be like so i figured if I just but half in and it was enough then great, I'd get 2 baths out of it but if it wasn't enough I could just chuck the whole lot in. I was glad to discover that half was enough so this is £1.75 per bath, not bad for ultimate indulgence! How it works: This is a mix between Lush's Bubble Bars and Ballistics from what I can see, I plonked it in the bath and it fizzed abit but not too much and a white foam appeared as the gorgeous scent spread and the room and bath filled with what can only be described as pink, both visually and smell- wise! The Look: This looks like... well... a marshmallow! Like many Lush products, it looks good enough to eat, it's mainly baby pink, but slighty darker, a really girly shade. There's also a few bits of white, not many though and the Bath Melt has quite a rough texture, rather like that of a ballistic, especially the top of this is almost rustic. It isn't one of those products of Lush's that you could just leave to fragrance a room as it isn't as pretty as some other things I've had from Lush. The Smell: Like I said before, the only way I could describe this smell is pink, it reminds me of a sweet shop and all things girly. It's quite like Lush's other products (Yummy Yummy Yummy and Rock Star Soap) and as with Lush's other products the smell does stick around, however it's more subtle which is nice and some products are too much and just leave you with a headache. After the bath: I certainly felt very relaxed and very pampered, my skin felt nice and soft and I left the bath looking forward to my next MMM Melting Marshmallow Moment! However, I did notice some of the Bath Melt left in the bottom of the bath which I had to swish away with water, not a huge issue just a little annoying. Overall: I really like this product especially how it smells, it's the ultimate girly treat and I certainly felt as if I'd soaked all my worries away. It is expensive though, but you can cut it in half and it's not as pretty as Lush's other products. I would like to use again but only if I really feel like giving myself a treat. Mmmelting Marshmallow Moment is one of Lush' Luxury Bath Melts. There are six in the range (not including ones made for special occasions) and this is probably the girliest and is definitely the one with the name that makes the most sense - it looks like a giant, pink marshmallow! They are a lovely bath treat - a tad more posh than bubble bath and more laid back and mature than a ballistic. To use, you're meant to pop it in the bath and let it melt away - I use about half of one of these per bath, as they're a bit bigger than the other bath melts and can stretch to two bathfuls. As they melt, they let off a sort of white foam and spread their scent around the bath. Onto the scent - it is a very sweet sort of smell. I want to say it smells like nougat, but that it doesn't completely - that's just the closest thing I can think of to the smell. It leaves the water very moisturising and smooth (also, if you shave while you're in a bath with one you will get a really close, smooth shave) and your skin will be very soft afterwards. The smell lingers on your skin for a while, but to make it last longer you may want to use something else with it with a similar scent - Yummy Yummy Yummy shower gel, perhaps. Overall, this is a lovely bath melt (and I'm not very big on bath-melts...).
