Lush Mrs Whippy Bath Ballistic
Advantages: Smells delicious and does more than your average bath bomb.
Disadvantages: Costs £2.50 and only lasts for one bath (but worth the treat!).
The Mrs Whippy bath ballistic is described by Lush as a strawberry ice cream bath and a skin softener and that was all that was needed to me to buy not one but 2 of these bath ballistics. It is one of Lush's newer products and will hopefully be around to stay.
The Mrs Whippy bath ballistic looks very similar to a Mr Whippy ice cream without the cone (obviously, hence the name Mrs Whippy!). It is white with pink bits sprinkled on the top and is a fairy large bath ballistic, despite being only 90g in weight.
This ballistic smells like strawberries & ice cream and totally delicious. This scent faded slightly once in the bath, but that didn't matter too much.
As is the usual course with a Lush bath ballistic, I ran my bath and dropped in Mrs Whippy. She/it popped back up to the surface and totally surprised me. Instead of fizzing to life, Mrs Whippy started foaming. I've never seen a bath ballistic do that before. It also floated around the bath a bit (powered by it's foaming action), rather than stopping in one place. The longer it foamed for the more active it got, producing more form and ever fizzing too. It released it's soya milk powder (held in the middle of the ballistic) to help soften the water.
The bath water turned pink & cloudy and the foam was pink and white. It wasn't foam like bubble bath foam, but more of a thin soft foam, but it was lovely anyway. The foam didn't last a long time, but that didn't matter much to me as it had already done it's job. The water felt lovely and soft, and I could smell the faint scent of the bath ballistic.
So will I be buying more of these Mrs Whippy bath ballistics by Lush? Most definitely! It left my skin feeling lovely and soft after my bath.
I used my Body Shop Strawberry Soap with this, but I think Lush's Rock Star soap would also be suited to use with Mrs Whippy.
The Mrs Whippy bath ballistic can be found in Lush high street stores around the UK, as well as on their website (www.lush.co.uk). It retails for £2.50, which might seem expensive for use in just one bath, but it's well worth the treat, believe me! I'll definitely be stocking up on some more of these in my next Lush order.
Summary: A delicious bath ballistic!
