Both my sister and my fiancé bought me lots of Lush goodies for Christmas, and one that was purchased by my fiancé was the Phoenix Rising bath ballistic. I had seen this one online but did not know much about it, so I was pleased to get the chance to try it out. The Phoenix Rising ballistic is mainly dark purple in colour, with a golden shimmer running over the outside. The shape reminds me a little of a pudding, being flat on the bottom and slightly rounded at the top. On the Lush website this is depicted as having a gold cinnamon stick embedded into the top of it, but sadly mine did not. My fiancé actually commented on that, saying none of those in the shop ... I love Lush's bubble bars and their bath items are my favourite treats. The bath bombs are good fun as well and I buy these from time to time as the fancy takes me. A friend of mine actually bought me this one as a surprise treat and I was completely chuffed as I hadn't tried it, or even seen it, before. The Phoenix Rising Ballistic Bath Bomb was released toward the end of 2011 and you can buy this product from the Lush high street stores, via mail order, or online at www.lush.co.uk. It costs £3.15 for one 100g bath ballistic. Product description: "All the myth and magic of a phoenix, pressed into one bath time experience, which lets you arise at the end ... I bought this bath bomb about three weeks ago because I had been wanting to try it for a while after my friend mentioned it to me. It was £3.20 which is quite expensive considering I only got one bath out of it but its nice to treat yourself once in a while so the price didn't bother me too much! The bath bomb is a pretty shade of purple with a cinnamon stick and gold glitter dust on top. The shape of it reminds me of a pudding for some reason and it is a decent size. The bath bomb contains lots of softening & nourishing ingredients including cocoa butter, jojoba oil and Shea butter. It also contains icing sugar, which apparently helps make the ... Lush Phoenix Rising Bath Ballistic Now I'm not a greatest bath ballistic fan on the whole despite my true addiction to Lush. In my humble opinion these are a fun product and apart from giving off a little scent they soften the water and give a fun fizz as they dissolve but that is about the extent of it. However knowing my passion for all things Lush I do tend to get given gifts of Lush items and as these look good and are a bit if fun they are often popped into my birthday or Christmas or mother's day pressies. This one was part of my recent Birthday present from one of my children and I have to say it smelled wonderful as I opened my 'knot wrapped ... Read the complete review

Phoenix Rising is one of the newest Lush products. It was released earlier this year as a full time product (not a seasonal or anything). Bath Ballistics are what most people call bath bombs, and Lush have a gigantic range of them - however, as a long time Lush-lover, I have to say - this one is one of, if not THE, best bath bomb they currently make. It is a glimmery pink colour with gold throughout and a cinnamon stick pressed into the top. It costs £3.15 for one but is worth every penny for an indulgent treat. THERE -IS- GLITTER IN THIS BALLISTIC! However, it does not cover you or your bath. It just gives your skin a faint glimmer, if ... Read the complete review
