Advantages: Scent, can get several baths out of this, lots of bubbles.
Disadvantages: If buying online you don't know what colour you will get, which may disappoint some.
I received this 'pop in the bath' bubble bar in 'The art of bathing' gift set from Lush that I received as a present. This bubble bar is actually available in four different colours and I received the pink one which has a light green flower on top. The scent is the same for all four though and the only difference simply being the colour of them, which also effects the colour of your bath water.
After having used a lot of Lush products now (and these mainly being their bubble bars) I know that a little goes a long way, and this is no exception with the 'Pop in the bath'. I snapped a little bit of the bubble bar off and crumbled it under the hot running tap. It immediately turned the water slightly pink which I was expecting as all the Lush bath products seem to change the colour of the water. I didn't actually snap part of the light green flower off the bar as I already had enough of the pink part in the bath and didn't want to waste any. However, I have since used some of the green flower part with the pink part of the bar but I still got a hint of light pink in my bath, and not a greeny colour.
I do think that the colour of the bubble bar you receive matters as after reading a few other reviews on this same product but in a different colour, others have actually not liked the colour it has turned their bath water, which I suppose matters as you always expect a pretty bath when using Lush products!
I loved the scent of this bubble bar. It has lemon, orange and mandarin oils which make it a lovely citrus scent, which is one of my favourite scents, followed closely by the candy scented products Lush do. The scent also lingers in the bath for ages too, I tend to stay in for about an hour and can still smell it when I get out. This is one of the reasons why I prefer to use the bubble bars rather than the bath bombs as I have found that the scents always tend to stick around longer! There are only two bath bombs I have used that have managed to keep their scent noticeable the whole time I have been in the bath.
Now for the important bit... the bubbles! This bubble bar did not disappoint, I had a mountain of bubbles to get into and I only used a small part of the bar. You can get around 5 - 6 baths out of this, all with lots of bubbles. The bubbles also stick around for ages and don't quickly go when any soap has been added to the water, which can happen with other bubble baths.
This bubble bar is 100g and costs £2.90, it may seem expensive but it is one of the cheapest bubble bars Lush do. At first I thought Lush products were quite expensive considering how many uses you get out of them, but if your a Lush fan like me you will know that once you start using Lush products it's hard to stop! I just make mine last by only snapping off a little bit at a time, as you really do only need to use a small amount.
Overall I like this bubble bar and will definitely use this one again, but I think I will get the pink one again and not bother trying the other colours out after reading the reviews on them, as I like my bath to look pretty as well as smell nice!
