Lush Still Life Bath Ballistic
Description: Brand: Lush / Type: Bath Salt.
I have to begin this review by explaining a couple of things. These bath ballistics were released for Mothers Day and while they are currently still available for sale, they may not be around for too much longer so if you want to try them, you should hurry! The second thing is that the picture that Lush is using is not the same as the actual product. The product is much cuter as it is shaped like a flower and also comes with wildflower seeds for you to plant in your garden, hidden in the tag.
Anyone who has read any of my earlier reviews (thanks so much, I really appreciate all reads, rates and comments!) will probably already know that I am a huge fan of Lush. If you are not familiar with brand then you may initially think that they are a little bit expensive. This is true but it is worth knowing that they make hand made cosmetics from only natural ingredients. They never test on animals and ensure that they only use suppliers who don't either. They also support loads of charities and projects worldwide, details of which can be found on their website, along with products and ingredients. You can shop online and also locate your nearest shop if you are unsure where to find them.
Another great benefit of shopping online is that you can purchase from the Lush Retro range, which is a list of products which were previously discontinued but are not available to buy online.
In case you have never tried a Bath Ballistics, they are made along the same idea as bath bombs and are a solid ball shaped mass of bath salts. To use, simply run a warm bath then drop them in and watch them go crazy, fizzing their way round in the water for ages, releasing their fragrance and colour. They will then soften and scent the water until eventually they have dissolved leaving the both your bathwater and your bathroom smelling delicious.
This 140g bath ballistic will cost you £3.50 and is suitable for vegetarians.
The ballistic quickly turns the bathwater a bright yellow colour and has a delicious citrus fragrance that makes me feel alert and refreshed. Sweet lemon and orange oil give the product a fresh and natural scent that lasts on skin for ages after bathing while the bergamot oil gives it a slightly exotic fragrance that makes it just a little bit sexy.
My skin felt deliciously soft and pampered after I had used this bath ballistic and although I did have to wipe the yellow colour off the bath (this was easy enough to do) it didn't colour my skin which was great.
If you like fresh and zingy scents then this one is definitely something that you should try, but remember to be quick, it won't be around for ever!
I bought this bath ballistic in the new flower shaped 'mum' ballistic brought out for Mothers day. It smells absolutely divine and if you buy a few I would definitely suggest storing them in a draw to make your clothes and underwear smell gorgeous. It is really easy to use, just run a bath, jump in and drop the ballistic into the water. Immediately it will fizz and turn the water yellow. Petals burst from the ballistic and the room will be scented with the gorgeous citrus scents. The ballistic is full of fresh natural ingredients and essential oils which immediately make your skin feel so silky and soft you will feel in heaven. It is suitable for vegetarians and is not tested on animals. The citrus scents from this bath bomb smell so fresh and delicious you will be in heaven. You can use this ballistic with any of Lush's bubble bars to make it an extra special treat. Perfect for cheering yourself up on a rainy day to make you feel refreshed and pampered.
