Lush Temple of Truth
Advantages: Nice smell and lots of bubbles
Disadvantages: Expensive, didn't get any genius ideas!
Any of you that read my reviews regularly will know that I am trying to sample each and every one of Lush's bath products, including the Retro range - products which have been discontinued from stores but are still available to purchase online. Last year I made a massive order including several bubble bars, bath ballistics and melts, and when I opened the box found an unexpected Temple of Truth bubble bar hiding inside. Whether this was a mistake on the part of Lush's staff, or a freebie as a thank you for spending so much money, I'm not entirely sure but either way I was pleased!
The Temple of Truth bubble bar is quite plain to look at. It is white, and is tapered at the top like a couple of other bars in the range, such as Christmas Kisses and A French Kiss. Experienced in the use of Lush bubble bars, I cut it in half with a knife so I could use it for two baths.
The bubble bar is designed to calm and bring clarity to the mind, containing rosewood, guiaicwood and sandalwood essential oils. Lush say: "When was the last time you heard of someone having a really great idea in the stressful environs of the office? Your brightest thoughts often turn up when you're completely relaxed and passively contemplating nothingness." With this in mind, I used the bar when I'd had a stressful time at work!
I crumbled half of the bar into the running water, and found that there were loads of bubbles. The water turned a faint cloudy white.
The scent of the bubble bar was calming and woody, a little like incense. I did enjoy my bath and found it to be relaxing and calming - I can't say that I came up with any genius ideas though! The water felt silky
I can't really say a lot about Temple of Truth. I enjoyed using it, and like all Lush bubble bars it was a high quality product. However it was quite expensive at £3.75 and although it will last at least two uses, I'd rather pay a bit less for a bubble bar I like more.
Summary: A nice bubble bar, but not my favourite
