Lush The Comforter Bubble Bar
Advantages: lots of bubbles, fruity smell, goes far, feels creamy
Disadvantages: the price keeps rising
The Lush comforter is one of the products unlike any of their others, that I actually use on a regular basis. This is always available to buy in store and online. Unfortunately the price has risen, it used to be £3.99 but the price has kept rising and is now at £4.25 per bubble bar. This is quite expensive considering what it is however you can use this more than once. This can be found online at https://www.lush.co.uk/product/408/The-Comforter-B ubble-Bar. Personally I prefer to buy this instore because then I can get a bag and label with it so I can put it in my draw so it smells really nice but not get it's crumbs everywhere.
The Comforter is a bubble bar, which is basically a solid bubble bath. I have always loved the idea of this because it's better for the environment due to the lack of plastic packaging. It also means that it's compact so it doesn't take up a lot of room in the bathroom or where ever you like to store your bath bombs/bubble bars. I like the colours of this, it reminds me of ice cream or something sweet and delicious! Due to these being handmade each bar is unique, some more darker than others, what with me buying mine in store it gives me the opportunity to choose my own which means I can choose the prettiest one they have to offer.
The smell of this is Blackcurrants and cream. Lush says "This fruity bubble bar gives the feeling of being hugged by a jolly blackcurrant. When life is getting you down, crumble The Comforter under hot, running water for purple water and creamy bubbles. The warm aroma of cassis absolute is relaxing so relaxing that you'll go to bed feeling happier and the world will seem brighter the next day." Well it doesn't make me feel like I'm being hugged by fruit, but it does smell like blackcurrants which is nice.
Personally I break this up and I can get three uses out of this bar which is quite good because I wouldn't want to put it all in. Because this crumbles loads when snapping is another reason why I like to keep it in the packet because then I can catch them crumbs and not waste any of the product. I crumpled this up into my bath rather than putting a solid chunk into the water, this I found helped the bubbles to appear quicker and to help the full piece dissolve.
The water turns a really nice pink colour, I love it when the bath water starts to change, it's what helps it make lush products different from everyone elses. The bubbles get really big and frothy as soon as the product hits the water which means by the time the bath water is full it's also over flowing with bubbles which I love. Before even getting in the bath I could smell the blackcurrant scent rising with the steam.
Once in the bath the water felt really luxurious and loved the creamy bubbles, it was really easy to relax in this bath and was quite comforting after a long hard day and the smell didn't deteriorate either, it was still really strong despite being a third of the original size and in the water. Because I use bubble bath for relaxation and not to get clean in it means that I don't have to mix any soapy products which could make the bubbles disappear.
Overall, I love the fruity smell of this and I love that it stays strong all the time and the bubble bar itself is really long lasting, the bubbles in the bath can last up to an hour but considerably less when using other products in the bath too, but the water is still champagne pink which I love, i think the price is fair as It really helps to relax me and this is a product I choose to buy often and use it as my main bubble bath/bar.
Summary: my favourite bubble bar that I use often.
