Advantages: smells gorgeous, leaves skin feeling smooth and soft
I was recommended this Lush therapy massage bar by one of the sales ladies at the shop. I liked the fact that you get a free tin when you buy two massage bars and this particular one was £4.84. This might seem like a lot but mine has lasted me ages now and I use it all the time so I think it's worth the money.
Lush make all their cosmetics fresh and by hand. They use fresh ingredients and try and use as little preservatives as possible. This is what I like about their products. I've got very sensitive skin and often find that heavily perfumed or products with too many chemicals will easily irritate my skin. I haven't had this problem with Lush and in particular this product so that's a massive thumbs up from me!
The massage bar is an oval shape cream coloured bar with little circular designs on the top. It's mainly made up of cocoa and shea butter, which is very moisturising. The essential oils that they've used for this are mainly orange, lavender and neroli oil. It's quite a fresh and lightly citrusy smelling massage bar. The essential oil blends are meant to help you relax and lift your mood. To me, it also smells very chocolaty but that's due to the cocoa butter.
The bar melts easily when it comes in contact with your skin or when you squeeze it in between your palms. It doesn't melt away too fast though, which I think is good, otherwise it would get used up way too quickly. The bar glides onto the skin and the oils and butters just melt into the skin, leaving it so soft and smooth. Whilst I don't have anyone to give me massages, I just like to rub it into my legs after a long day of standing at work and it really helps relieve the tiredness and tension.
I was also told that this bar was excellent for pregnant women and people who are trying to shift stretch marks. Whilst I won't be able to tell you about that (not having experienced it myself), I would say that this massage bar is excellent for rubbing into the skin, has a wonderful relaxing scent and leaves the skin beautifully moisturised. It's also gentle enough for someone with very sensitive skin like me. I'd say, pop into a Lush shop and have a test of this one as I'm sure you won't be able to resist.
Summary: awsome massage bar, gentle enough for sensetive skin
