      A lovely gift box

It was my birthday in July and I decided I wanted to treat myself to a Lush gift (it's not as though I don't have enough Lush already!). I decided I really wanted a hatbox, as the boxes are so beautiful, and you can use them for other things once the Lush goodies inside are used up. I chose the Vanilla Scoop, mainly because I loved the idea of the Vanilla scent!

The hatbox itself is pink and cream striped, a bit like a stick of rock or some ice cream. It's really lovely and a bit retro. All of the items included are full size, although the style of the perfume bottle has changed and is now a black bottle. Inside the box are the following items, lovingly protected by popcorn:

Vanillary Fragrance - the original scent, packaged in the glass bottle with the stripy pattern, rather than the new-style black bottle. The fragrance is a lovely rich vanilla fragrance, made up of vanilla, tonka and jasmine. The jasmine adds a bit of a kick and the tonka adds to the sweetness. The end result is a layered and distinctive vanilla scent that smells good enough to eat - a little like biscuits! 5/5

Vanilla Dee-Lite Body Lotion - Deliciously-scented moisturising body lotion. It is quite thick, and though it is described as a lighter lotion it lasts very well on the skin, without being at all greasy. You can layer it with the perfume, go without perfume altogether, or use a different scent as the smell of the lotion isn't overpowering. 4/5

Vanilla Fountain Ballistic - lovely smelling ballistic that turns the bath a rather dodgy shade of yellow; the smell sadly dissipates in the bath, but it leaves skin amazingly soft. 4/5

Vanilla Puff Dusting Powder - Lovely-smelling soft powder that absorbs well and is smooth, not gritty. Judging by previous Lush powders I've used, it will last for ages as you don't need to use much. It can be used alone or layered up with the body lotion and the perfume. You can also sprinkle a little on your bedsheets to make them smell nice! 5/5

The box also comes with a 10% off voucher, which you can spend in Lush during any month of the year except December - a great excuse to go shopping again!

The most amazing thing about this hatbox is that if you add up the cost of the products inside, they come to more than the cost of the hatbox which is £40.95. Therefore if you're a fan of the scent it makes more sense to buy the hatbox, plus you get the amazing box itself as well as the voucher!

I'm giving this gift set the full 5 stars as it's absolutely brilliant in every way. I guess the only way it could be improved would be to include the Heavanilli massage bar too, but I guess I can always get that with my voucher!
